Просто отличный отель. Жила в коттедже, рекомендую для проживания именно их, потому как очень удачное расположение (близко к пляжу и к бассейну), расположены в тропическом саду, да и внутри все очень хорошо. Из плюсов отеля - огромная очень зеленая территория, длинная линия пляжа, большой бассейн, хорошие завтраки, отличные номера. Из минусов - пляжные полотенца в свободный доступ попадают только часам к 8-9 утра, до этого надо искать персонал и канючить у них эти самые полотенца))

We spent the best two weeks of our life (my wife and I) in this tropical paradise. We stayed at a cozy cottage surrounded by a wonderful garden just a one-minute walk to the beach. We absolutely loved the open air tropical shower. The only problem was invisible during the daytime and hugry at night the army of mosquitos who apparently sneaked into the room through the tropical shower door and attacked you when you enjoyed a peaceful sleep. But shortly after the first mosquito attacks we were provided with anti-mosquito equipment and later every day of our stay the cleaning lady turned it on right before we came back after dinner. The staff was super friendly and considerate. The breakfast was abundant and delicious. Special thanks to the super smiling omelette chef))) He was the best!!! The beach was very beautiful. There was a huge tree that produced a large shadow and harbored many sunbeds so that any time of the day we could enjoy a pleasant chill and escape from the boiling heat. And another thanks is to the beach tea team who arrived at 3.30 p.m. with a magical refreshing drink and coconut cookies. Your lemongrass tea was great and the cookies....Mmmmmmmm)))) We enjoyed every bit of our stay so we d definitely recommend this hotel to those looking for a tropical getaway!

Нам очень повезло, что мы выбрали именно этот отель. Уже с порога начинаешь испытывать приятное ощущение, что приехал в современный отель высокого уровня. Красивая территория с буйной зеленью, пальмами и клумбами. Бассейн замечательный, располагается в двух шагах от моря, с отличным видом, с идеальной температурой воды для охлаждения. Немного раздражало, когда люди занимали шезлонги вокруг бассейна, положив на них свои полотенца, и не пользовались ими полдня. Думаю, персоналу стоит как-то следить за этим или ограничивать по времени, освобождая шезлонг от полотенца, если на нем долго никто не появляется. Сложилось впечатление, что большинство постояльцев отеля – немцы. Русских не было вообще, и слава богу! Вообще же персонал работает отлично! Всегда с улыбкой, внимательный, всегда готовы приложить максимум усилий, чтобы оказать помощь, если она потребуется. Чувствуется Сервис с большой буквы. Горничные убираются качественно, никаких претензий ни разу не возникло. Им приходилось ждать, пока мы проснемся и раскачаемся, чтобы прибраться у нас. Мы бронировали номер Suite Villa – очень просторная вилла, даже ванная комната размером как гостиная. Лежа в ванной можно было открыть жалюзи и наблюдать за морем. Слайдовые двери, выход на собственную террасу, откуда открывается потрясающий вид бухты. Приятно было посидеть вечерами, слушая шум прибоя и стрекотание всяческой живности. В номере есть все, что только может потребоваться. Может, единственное замечание – жестковатый матрас, но это, как говорится, на любителя. Пляж у отеля удивительный, с белым-белым песком и чистой водой. С одной стороны, он достаточно спокойный, с другой стороны – совсем рядом Чавенг (5 минут на такси или 20 минут пешком), где есть большой выбор магазинов и развлечений. Завтраки хорошие, вполне обычный набор для отелей такого класса, но красиво сервированные столы, все выглядело очень аппетитно и просилось в рот :) Большой выбор разнообразных напитков, даже помимо обычного кофе можно было заказать латте. Рядом с отелем есть несколько отличных прибрежных ресторанов, куда можно сходить пообедать или поужинать. Пару раз кушали в пляжном ресторане соседнего отеля Imperial – все очень вкусно, и дальше по пляжу был наверное лучший и самый дешевый ресторан - Beach Love, его просто обязательно нужно посетить! Неприятно удивило вот что: отель позиционирует себя как современный и модный, при этом вечерами устраивал в ресторане жалкие «буфетные ужины» в сопровождении убогих ужасных певцов. Кому это нужно? Не могу поверить, что кому-то такое до сих пор нравится. В целом хочу сказать, что мы прекрасно провели отпуск в этом отеле и если соберемся в следующем году в Таиланд, обязательно выберем New Star – лучшего места на Самуи пока нет.

Pros:Very clean, friendly staff with an attitude that anything can be done, well equiped, large variety at breakfast, beautifully decorated, have a kids menu. Cons: Hilly, so having a 2yr old it was difficult as she needed carrying everywhere. We were put in a cottage right at the top of the resort as far way from pool and beach as possible which was a great pity. If we had known how many steps there were, we would have requested a cottage lower down. The resort is not pram friendly at all due to all the stairs, narrow walkways, stone paths. Most Staff's English was very poor and this made commnunication very difficult at times, although they did their best to try understand our needs.

Wonderful! Super quick responses to emails, smooth payment system and reliable when organizing things like pick ups etc. Only critizism is that a friend with 2 chn (aged 5 and 14) was interested in going to New Star and I was told by your agent that New Star could not accomodate them in any of their villas or suites or cottages...unless the 5 year old slept in the same bed as the parents!I asked at the resort, and found out that this is not true at all. They have very large suites that can even be made into 2 bedrooms and they can easily accomodate a family of four. In fact, while we were there - we met a family of 5, who said they were comfortably fitting into a villa. Unfortunately, my friend decided to go somewhere else, based on the information provided to us by siamwebhosting. For that reason only, I am giving siamwebhosting 4 out of 5 instead of 5/5!

We stayed for 5 nights. The beach, pool area and room atmosphere are very clean, relaxing and pleasing to the eyes. We stayed in a Palm Villa and loved the bathroom and bedroom space. The service, though all smiles, was not up to par compared to other 4 star resorts we stayed in during our trip. They are building a resort next door and construction was loud. We asked to move rooms and seemed to be inconveniencing the front desk person. The shuttle to town was sold out when we tried to reserve it. Having to pay extra for internet and the pricey restaurant became frustrating. Also upon check out the somewhat accused us of having taken a bamboo fan from the room that we have never once seen. All in all, stay here for the nice room, pool and beach. Dont expect your room rate to include all the nice service extras.

Accommodation and facilities:
American styled big resort without any Thai atmosphere. Friendly staff wears shorts and Polo shirts. We stayed in a so called Suite room not worth its price: Two Suite rooms at a time are attached by a very thin door so you can hear your neighbours voices. Complete darkening of the room is not possible. The balcony is not very inviting because you don´t have a good view. The two restaurants serve good but expensive food and are two small for the 74 rooms. Besides the resort was not very exclusive because the majority of the guests stayed in cheap palm rooms or small beach cottages (remnants of the old New Star), while the few Suite rooms were mostly not occupied. The beach and the pool were terrible overcrowded like in a Japanese open-air-pool. Fortunately there are still some small exclusive resorts left on Ko Samui, like the Poppies or the Buri Rasa. We don´t like hotel factories like this!

the hotel was very beautiful: very clean room and bathroom good breakfast wonderful swimmingpool with very convinient armchairs also on the beautiful beach only the atmosphere in the restaurant is boring -its better to look for another restaurant

HO SOGGIORNATO UNA SETTIMANA CON IL MIO RAGAZZO AL NEW STAR..ed è stata la cosa + bella della nostra vacanza a koh samui! Abbiamo scelto la camera che costava meno la PALM VIEW COTTAGE (numero 602) ma era ugualmente bellissima... Spaziosa, luminosa, pulita... In più in questo periodo stanno facendo dei lavori accanto all albergo dalla parte delle camere + lussuose perciò pur risparmiando abbiamo avuto la soluzione migliore! Posizione comodissima a metà strada tra reception/uscita e piscina/mare... dico così perchè l hotel è in pendenza e ci sono un sacco di scalini da fare per andare dalla reception alla spiaggia! ci vuole un buon allenamento! :-) La colazione era buona (anche se ne ho viste di + abbondanti) comunque non mancava la postazione delle uova, x me essenziale!! :-) e la sala dove facevamo colazione era stupenda... vista mare... circondata da fontane e acqua! La spiaggia davanti l hotel è privata, attrezzata con lettini, ombrelloni e sdraie... la più bella di tutta CHAWENG NOI!!! Gli altri alberghi (tra cui l Imperial) hanno gli scomodi lettini in plastica tutti appiccicati mentre i nostri in legno con materassino comodissimo!! Il mare è stupendo anche se il pomeriggio verso le 16 arriva un pò di alta marea e peggiora un pochetto... perciò meglio alzarsi presto!! Chaweng Noi è perfetta come zona: è molto tranquilla e la spiaggia è la migliore ma se vuoi un pò di vita in pochissimi minuti (3-5 min) sei al centro di chaweng per shopping e ristoranti! Non so cos altro dire... solo che se un giorno tornerò a koh samui prenoterò sicuramente al NEW STAR!!!!

Abbiamo prenotato su siamwebhosting.com e ci siamo trovati benissimo!! eravamo preoccupati per qualche recensione negativa ma invece è andato tutto perfettamente: pagamento/trasferimento dall aereoporto/check-in. ASSOLUTAMENTE NESSUN PROBLEMA!!

The hotel is new with lively environment. My family enjoyed our stay there. It is very close to Chawang town. It is a small hotel, so there is not much hotel guests. This is perfect for those who seek privacy and quiteness but not isolated. Breakfast: Satisfactory. Not many choices but the quality was good. Staff: Mostly helpful and fiendly. English proficiency is satisfactory, but do not expect too much. We went to the tour desk at 10:30am but the staff was not there. Receptionist said the staff worked at 11am but she did not show up until 12pm. Facilities: No gym and no kids club. The infinity pool is amazing. Very close to the beach. (<3min walk from my room)The beach is clean, quiet and beauitful. However, there is no fish, not even one. :( And the water is shallow. All in all, my family love this hotel and we really miss the place. We recommand this hotel to you. ^^

New Star Beach Resort
Accommodation and facilities:
A beautiful resort right on the beach with a great pool area and restaurant. We stayed in a Palm View Cottage and it was well equipped and very roomy and well situated within the resort. The beds were a little bit hard, but so were they at all four resorts we stayed at in Thailand. The breakfast was exemplary with lots to choose from. A nice detail was the complementary afternoon tea/coffee/iced tea served on the beach every day. The staff was very helpful and always met you with a smile. Then again, the slogan for New Star is Smile! You are at New Star . The only bad thing is that the prices for in-house services (food, spa etc.) are very high compared to the same services else ware. But you can always get a good massage on the beach and find a good and cheap beach resaurant nearby. Over all a very good resort that we recommend.

New Star Beach Resort

In July 2008 we spent 10 days at the New Star Beach Resort as a family with two children and a 70 years old senior. The place is just wonderful. Very nice architecture within a tropical garden. Very friendly staff even though especially the room service-people didn't understand much English. The hotel is located at the southern end of Chaweng beach. Beach and pool area are beautiful. Due to rocks it's not possible to walk along the beach from the hotel all the way up to Chaweng but it's still possible to do some walking. Swimming in the sea was always possible. The water was very warm and clean. We booked two connecting Garden Villas which were nice equipped, clean and offered enough space. The beds were very hard and sometimes there was a bad smell from the toilet. By car it's a few minutes drive to Chaweng where all the restaurants and shops are located. Most of the time we took a Tuk-Tuk which costs 50 Bath per person. Unfortunately the hotel only offers a shuttle bus to Chawang once a day. We also rented a motorcycle which is a good way to commute to Chaweng and around the island. For breakfast there's a great buffet, the Lime restaurant and the Chili bar offer excellent food (International and Thai) but the prices are rather high in comparison with the local restaurants. Internet costs extra but is reasonable. We would definitely recommend the hotel as a 4-star-resort. If you are looking for a Luxus-Class-Resort, go for the Santiburi.

An absolutely wonderful holiday at the best resort in Koh Samui. We stayed 2 weeks in a beach front villa with our 2 little boys aged 3 and 6 and we will be back. Truly if you want the peace of a relaxed resort on a quiet beach (Chawend Noi) just minutes away from the crowded Chaweng Beach around the point then New Star is for you. I travel for a living every week and this was by far the most relaxing holiday I ve ever had. Staff were competent and helpful when needed and the facilities are great; beautiful setting, modern style with rustic Thai flavours and a beach front and pool without peer on this island. You won't be disappointed - and I never bother to write reviews but New Star really exceeded our expectations. Just wish we could have moved in permanently!

Very nice hotel with a relaxing atmosphere. Very helpful and friendly staff! Excellent service. We enjoyed our stay very much. We can really recommend the hotel. Everything was lately renovated. Well done! The beach is also very clean and quiet. For those who want to relax is Chaweng Noi much better than the crowded Chaweng Beach.

We found this hotel to be one of the best we have stayed at. Beautiful Decor, Perfect beach, Huge swimming pool, excellent food and first class staff. The location was perfect and peaceful, around 5 mins from Chaweng for the livelier nights. Recently refurbished it was hard to find fault. The only gripe being there was no wifi service in my room, but we were directy on the beach which may have been why.
