No worth the money. I would not recommend it. New Years dinner was over priced. Staff not friendly for the most part. Stayed 10 days and our bathroom never got clean I asked the staff 3 times to clean it but never got done.

It's a cheap family friendly and family run hotel which was great for the 10 days we stayed. The pool is too heavily chlorinated and we didn't have much luck with the weather as the sea level was at a record high so we didn't get to enjoy the beach much - although when we did it was great. The staff are very friendly and the rooms clean but don't expect 3 star accommodation. The best thing by far was the absolutely fantastic Wat Poh masseuse lady - ask her about the proper 2 hour Wat Poh massage, you won't regret it!

Overall we had a nice stay. Restuarant is OK, with a good view over the sea towards Koh Phangan. Do not try a beach walk in the morning or at night the beach dogs are terrible. There are some ladyboys that have some different jobs there, no problem though. I will recommend this place.

We stayed at the New Lapaz for 6 nights, the staff was really nice and friendly, good service, food was tasty but the breakfast was not particularly good. The beach was ok but nothing special, the water was not clear. Beware of dogs from the nearby hotel, was bitten in the calf on the first day when we went for a walk on the beach. I m glad I took the lead and not our 4 year old daughter, she is now afraid of dogs. Told the staff they did not particularly worried that was not done something about it. A good idea with a stick when you walk on Mae Nam beach. Vi boede på New Lapaz i 6 nætter, personalet var rigtig søde og venlige, god service, maden var velsmagende men morgenmaden var ikke specielt god. Stranden var ok men ikke noget særligt, vandet var ikke klart. Pas på hunde fra nærliggende hotel, blev bidt i læggen den første dag, da vi gik en tur på stranden. Jeg er glad for at jeg gik forrest og ikke vor 4 årig datter, hun er nu blevet bange for hunde. Fortalte det til personalet, de virkede ikke specielt bekymret, der blev ikke gjort noget ved det. En god ide med en kæp når du går tur på Mae Nam strand.

I find the hotel to be quite expensive considering the quality of our room. It was dark, humid and smelled of mould. Not very nice to sleep in. The beach is more or less non existing, so expect to frequent the (small) pool area instead. The restaurant is very good though. Staff is ok, but not overwhelmingly friendly.

I only stayed one night as a stopover on my way to Koh Phangan. Staff were friendly and helpful but the room was very basic. I ve stayed in many rooms which cost less than this in Thailand and the standard has been much higher. Considering it was low season I think the room should have been much cheaper - the bed was rock hard and almost impossible to sleep in, it wasn't very clean and there was no tv - not that that is essential but for the price it didn't really have much. It was also very far off the main road so you need transport to get anywhere

Vi var en familie på 5. 3 voksne og 2 børn og havde derfor lejet to bungalows. nr. 901 med plads til 3 prs og en de luxe garden til 2 prs. Vi havde et godt og dejligt ophold med et venligt og meget hjælpsomt personale. Resorten ligger lige ned til stranden med det dejligste vand og sand - vandet er ikke for lavt, men passende. På hele stranden fandt vi ingen andre resorts vi hellere ville bo. New La paz resturant laver fantastisk mad og har et meget stort og varieret spisekort med mere end 150 retter ! Vi spiste for det meste dejlig Thaimad.Der kom ofte mange gæster fra andre resorts for at spise på New la Plaz pga af den gode mad og lave priser. Men der findes også andre gode spisesteder langs stranden. Der er en god afslapter atmosfære på New La Paz.Vi kan kun anbefale man tager til New La Plaz.Man får gode boliger og god atmosfære for pengene

Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Das Publikum ist bunt gemischt, Familien mit Kleinkindern sind sowohl da wie auch ältere Personen. Das Essen im Restaurant ist gut, das Frühstück ausreichend. In der nähe sind weitere Strandrestaurants. Die Mauer bzw. die Befestigung des Strandes ist etwas unschön. Wer einen ruhigen Urlaub verbringen möchte ist hier richtig. Abends ist nicht viel los. Der Nachbarstrand Bo Phut ist jedoch nur fünf Minuten mit dem Roller entfernt, hier sind mehr Restaurants, Geschäfte und Massage-Studios.

In comparision to other resorts New Lapaz villas was extremely well priced. We had a beech front villa, with private sunloungers and mattresses, which was a touch, and everything you d expect from the bungalow itself. The service was extremely friendly and very efficient - even our meals came at the same time which for Thailand is amazing!

We had booked Deluxe Seaview Bungalow. The Bungalow was seaview, but not deluxe for this price. The first Bungalow was not clean. In the second we had problems with the shower. After two times asking for check the drain, they was nerved. Staff was friendly, but not the principals. Notice the rental times from motorbike a.s.o. for yourself, do not depent on the hotel. Breakfast was unbalanced.

My wife & I stayed at the New Lapaz Villa for 3 nights en route to our daughters wedding. The bungalow we stayed in was clean & very high quality. The food was very good, (the beer wasn't bad either), the staff were very very helpful. We enjoyed our stay so much that we spent a further 3 days back at the New Lapaz after the wedding. Sitting in the dinning room overlooking the un-spoilt beach was perfect. My wife & I travel a lot & we couldn't fault the place at all. Well done to you all at the New Lapaz.

We liked the hotel very much...ON THE PICTURES! The beach is not that wide (during tide there wasn't even enough beach to walk on). But we really liked the location. It's calm and nice and the sea is gorgeous. The staff on the other hand (especially the grumpy reception ladies) treated us like shit. Probably this was cause we (two backpackers) didn't want to spend as much money as some other customers. The food is ridiculously overprized and i can just recommend the thai restaurant about 3 minutes down the beach (looking out on the sea just walk left and over the dangerous-looking bridge...there you are, very kind personell and great cheap food till 11oclock at night) The hotel didn't even offer us a mosquitonet. By the way, the hotel seems to be some kind of hotspot for upper-middle-class austrians and russians which are by the way not really the most adorable tourists to live next to...but anyway...we liked our stay. Two hints for people who are afraid of spiders and/or dogs. The road which connects the main road with newlapaz is crowded with spiders. They hang about 12 feet in the air and are about 5 inches in diameter...so you probably prefer the road left to it (left if you look in direction of the sea)...this road is absolutely spiderfree...but i wouldn't recommend to walk it after dusk, cause it is crowded with dogs and at night they kinda rule the street ;)...anyway...don't dare going to maenam beach...it's even worse!! (replace spiders, dogs and grumpy personnell with hookers, hookers and loud tekknobeats and you get the impression...)
