Very nice and quiet hotel with lots of personality. The garden with water, fishes and plants is very calm and pleasant. The rooms are huge and nicely decorated in typically thai spirit (zen spirit). The complimentary neck and back massage was highly appreciated as well as dinner directly on the beach. We emjoyed it a lot. It is not a hotel I would recommend for families with young children as no facilities are proposed for them but it is perfect for a quiet stay to enjoy the beach. I recomment it and would definitely go back again to this place.

Good staff but could not succeed into getting the original price we had for a longer stay before we changed our date (3 nigths stay instead of 10 previously).

The hotel is very thai style and spacious. Location is central. However, I was not happy with the front counter reception staff. They were not friendly and even on check out they were not friendly. I go to a lot of hotels in Thailand and this is one of the rare times I encounter such unfriendly staff.

I stayed at the new Muang Samui in Cheong Mon. This was by far the nicest place I have ever stayed. The hotel is magnificent, the staff goes above and beyond the call of duty, very professional and the attention to detail is astounding. Please stay here if you want a PERFECT vacation!

Just perfect. Stayed in Muang four days with my wife in a poolside room, only yards aways from the actual pool itself looking onto the beach. Top quality staff, beautifully decorated hotel and rooms..they just make you feel like home.. One other good point for this hotel is that it is just far enough away from the animated area of Chaweng Beach to be Nice and quiet and yet it only takes a three minute walk to join the fun. Since we left on the 19 th we ve been to Koh Tao Cabana Resort, and we are actually at the Zara Samui...our favorite is the Muang Samui Spa Resort. I fully recommend it, and to go back as soin as possible..

Room is large and beautiful, we are very satisfied but the only shortcoming is there is no internet in our room. The breakfast is delicious though the choices are not too much. The sea in front of our hotel is not so beautiful, you will see what I mean if you choose the hotel.

Again whe had a great time at Muang Samui. The service is fantastic and the welcome was great at the reception. The Garden vieuw rooms are big and beautiful, with big beds and whirlpool and big shower. Breakfast is very good with lots of different things. There is plenty to choose from. I think Muang Samui has one of the best beaches from Chaweng. More to the right is small and lot of big trees, and further to the left are some noicy bars with some lout music all day.

As a returning guest I had a very warm welcome when I checked in. The Muang Samui is a beautiful place, not to big but also not to small. We had a wonderful time. The staff was always friendly and helpfull. We had booked in the Royal Suite for us and it was a good decision. we will certainly come back.

Fantastic rooms but terrible service. 5 star prices for 1 star service. We stayed at this resort for 9 nights and before I start lashing out at the hotel, the rooms are absolutely incredible - unmistakably Thai with incredible attention to detail. One could not fault the room but as soon as you step outside the room the fun begins. The service at this hotel is not only terrible in terms of the attitude of the people that work here but it's basically non-existent. EVERY other person we spoke to (approximately 20 other people) that was staying there had exactly the same complaints so it wasn't just us... For example: - we had lunch on the first day and after repeated attempts to get someone to take our order we eventually gave up and ordered directly from the kitchen. The food was pretty bad, in fact a couple we met were sick for 24 hours after eating a club sandwich from the hotel. The menu is fairly basic and limited and the food was horrible. - the first day we spent at the beach we tried to get drinks from the beach attendant but he constantly forgot to get the drinks and we had to wait 30-60 minutes before we saw him again to re-order. I cracked it and made a complaint to the manager who in turn informed the restaurant manager but nothing improved over our 9 nights. We basically never got served and when we did they would somehow stuff up the order. - We ordered room service 2 nights before we left and we noticed the next morning that the food was sitting outside our room in the humidity exposed to animals/critters etc. It became a running joke with my partner and I whether we would return to find the food still sitting there day after day. Low and behold, it was still there the day we were checking out - 2 days after we left it outside and called room service to pick it up. By this time, our room had been made up twice and our turndown service had been completed twice so god only knows how many people from the hotel had seen the food there. - on complaining to the hotel and informing them in a constructive manner our experience, we got a resounding: ohhhh. That was it. I could go on and on for hours about how bad this place is considering there are so many better places to stay such as the Amari (we stayed there last time) but I won t. I think you get the idea. STAY AWAY!!!

the rooms are really amazing. the beach is nice (beautiful white sand) wenn you like the crowdy of chaweng. problem is that in the sea is a island, so there not coming a lot of fresh water and the water is not deeper as 50cm. Breakfast is super. Spa is great. It is in our opinion one of the best, hotel in chaweng. In 100m you are in the bussy part of chaweng, the hotel is really nice quit situated.

Room: Spacious and clean room with comfortable feeling, water supply was very good e.g. pressure, temp etc. Breakfast: Many choices, excelent buffet breakfast; Services: Very good, prompt response Location: Excellent, convenient for shopping, eating and car rental service. But, many mosquitos and insects around the hotel area including the restaurant. We had the buffet breakfast, the mosquitos had our blood daily during the time in the restaurant. On the whole, this is really a very good hotel in our mind. It was highly recommended. This is really a 5-stars hotel.

Beautiful pool with superb waterfall, nice garden and excellent breakfast. We stayed in cheapest garden room next to the reception, but this not disturb our stay at all. Great location for evening dining in town or on the beach - it's close to center of Chaeweng. Our children have a great fun in the pool :-) maybe it can be little crowndy in hiogh season, due the lack of space around, but during our stay there was enough sunbeds.

This is a nice boutique resort with good service, great location, very spacious suite with full amenities except in-room internet service. However, they did provided us 1/2hr free internet service at the lobby. I stayed in a Junior Suite with Garden View and i like the room designed very much. I got the summer promotion rate from siameservices and bcos of this special rate some of the special benefits are excluded like welcome drinks & neck garland, fruits plate in room, 300baht spa discout voucher per person for 2 and complimentary 15mins neck back &shoulder massage for 2, but suprisingly i got these all from the resort without early promised.

Muang Samui is a small boutique resort with all the trimmings. We had a pool view room on the ground floor directly overlooking the pool which was basically my own private pool as most of the people stayed down at the beach. The room was more like an apartment, very large and comfortable. I liked the fact that they had a DVD player in the room. We could check out the DVD's we purchased - all OK. The breakfast was great and more than enough, the staff were very friendly. All in all a great place to stay. The night life on the beach was an added extra that we did not experience the last time we stayed at Koh Samui.

Reception upon arrival and suite very good. Garden well kept but some of the furniture in public areas could be a little better kept. SPA superb and the food and service in restaurant also at top standard. Gym small but good. A little overpriced as I have stayed in similar or better SPA resorts at better rates before.

Lovely hotel and facilities, but it was a pity about the actual location. Although it was nice and quiet (great) the sea was very shallow and at times dirty, so we had to walk down the beach to have a proper swim. The hotel room was excellent (deluxe pool view) and the Jacuzzi / shower area was fantastic. The service at times was a little slow, but the staff in general was very professional and courteous. The breakfast was bountiful and the pool set was great. Not sure if we would stay there again, but definitely worth a thought to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing time.

We returned to this place as we had good experience. Again the service in the restaurant and the room (Royal Suite were excellent. Only the reception desk was not to helpfull. We asked for a 2 hour late checkout but had to pay TBH 500 extra. In view of the fact that we spent more than USD 3000 there I found that a bit stingy. We also booked the honeymoon package incl. of some goodies and discounts, but those were only given on request.
