Stayed in a Superior Villa, the room is nice but very small, we had an extra bed and we didn´t have any place to put our luggage. The pool area is very nice. The resort is a bit far away from the beach. The beach wasn´t so good for swimming, not so clean. The breakfast was ok, not so many choices.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hutcha Resort. The staf was really great, so helpful and loving, and really good service. The rooms were nice, clean and in a beautiful environment with an outdoor shower, and a little porch. The pool was great, and the location so close to the sea. The restaurant had really great food, and very good service, nice happy and helpful staf there too. From the restaurant you have sea view, and on the beach there was a nice little bar. You could get great massage and they also offer other services like car/motorbike/bicycle rental, and taxiservice. We loved our stay, will absolutely go back, both because Koh Samui is a very nice, and for Hutcha Resort. We warmly recommend Hutcha Resort!!

Nice welcome. The resort is a bit sad with all the bungalows coated with grey cement, but its location a few steps from the beautiful Maenam beach and a number of very nice restaurants by the beach is ideal. Forget about the restaurant of the resort and the poor breakfast. The internet connection is only possible in the restaurant and by the pool and is so so. The hot water system in our bungalow broke down. But teh besd is good. All in all, not a perfect address, but acceptable. The hotel is relatively far from the airport and not indicated from the main road. Since we hired a car at the airport, we spent long time here and there before finding teh resort.

Good hotel, good servis! Хороший отель за небольшие деньги. Очень удобен для семейного отдыха, так можно взять сдвоенное бунгало в одном домике с общей верандой. Комнаты маленькие, нет шкафа, нет чайника (но мы выпросили), комнаты очень чистые. Полотенца и для ванной и для пляжа. Уборка по вашему желанию, хоть каждый день, хоть вообще к Вам лезть не будут. Каждый день приносят питьевую водичку. Завтраки скромные, но в жару и их достаточно: панкейки с сиропом или медом, тосты, фрукты, омлет, бекон, ветчина, соки, чай, кофе. Все свежее и вкусное. Можно взять новенький байк в аренду за 200 бат в сутки. Отель может предложить бесплатный трансфер (нас бесплатно отвезли на пикапе на пирс, когда мы уезжали). Руководство отеля очень обходительное, персонал очень приятный. В целом нам и нашим детям понравилось. Что касается пляжа, то купаться мы отходили немного в сторону (метров 300 ближе к отелю Сантибури). Рядом с отелем дешевое вкусное кафе с огромными порциями и дешевая качественная прачечная (за огромный пакет вещей 2,5-3кг с 4-х человек мы отдавали 100-120 бат). Рядом по этой же улице по четвергам проходит ярмарка Walkingstreet, где облопаетесь всякой местной вкуснятины и посмотрите хорошее шоу. Есть недорогое СПА с рыбками за 100 бат (где рыбки чистят ваши ножки в аквариуме, обхохочетесь!!!), напротив дешевое вкусное мороженое. В общем, улочка на которой расположен отель не позволит Вам заскучать, тихо, но по домашнему весело и все есть необходимое для жизни (даже аптека). Мы будем скучать по этому отелю и по этой милой улочке.

I was in Hut Cha in September 2010 in Superior room AC with breakfast for 1080 Baht per day. Room was furnished very simple, but was cleaned proper everyday and aircon worked fine. The Huts are in a beautiful garden, Pool was nice, and Ressort got direkt acces to the beach, with free sunbeds of the Ressort. Breakfast was good. Quiet place. Not so busy as Lamai or Chaweng All in all, good for that price. Would stay there again.

Having viewed the accommodation online and seen tha it was recommended on various websites i was ver upset to arrive at this accommodation to find i was in the smallest concrete hut I have ever been in. The website photos show a spacious room but frankly I couldnt spin round without hitting the walls as the room was 7 feet x 7 feet, terrible. There was an outside bathroom where everyone walking past your room could hear everything going on in the toilet, no privacy at all. Staff were not helpful and even when i asked for a larger room we were offered no alternative even when the resort was empty. we checked out after 24 hrs and found a much nicer resort where we are staying for 12 days. Hut Cha's loss!!

Staff not very friendly. Efficient and helpful though the famous thai smile eluded us. Stayed here for 12 nights and on day 7 had to ask if our bed sheats would finally be changed! Breakfast quite boring. There are other nice places to have breakfast nearby though. Nice garden, pool was nice but would have hoped for the water to be cooler.

Had the cheapest room. Nice! Rooms very clean, but very small. Cool outdoor bathroom. A good deal for little money. Breakfast ok, nothing special. Close to beach, from bungalow a 5 minute walk. What we didn't like was the river right behind the resort, as it is very very filthy, and the perfect breeding area for mosquitoes. So there were tons of mozzies, especially in the bathroom. But if you light a mosquito coil, it's fine. Maenam is the best beach on Samui! Would not stay there again though, because the place right next to it is better (Ubon Villa). Cheaper and bigger bungalows right on the beach, run by a nice Thai family!

We only spent 1 night here, just before we go back home. Hutcha is a nice resort with a beautiful garden, nice swimming pool and good location on beautiful and quiet Mae Nam beach. Superior villa is a great room, big and beautiful, very good bed. Breakfast is also good you can choose from a list (yummie pancakes) + small buffet with toasts and fruit and juice. Nice staff. No safe in de room but good safe system at the reception.

Very nice but basic rooms. Lovely swimming pool. Breakfast is sufficient and the staff are very friendly. Nice garden settings and excellent location very near the beach. Quite a few restaurants on the beach to choose from with reasonable prices. However, if you are looking to party, you should stay somewhere else. I really enjoyed my relaxing stay here.

WOW! What a great place to rest and relax. I am 70 yrs old and traveling for the first time by myself to another country. They were so friendly and helpful. They are very family orintated. I saw at least 2 families where they entertained the young child so the parents could enjoy their meal. This is one great place for singles, young and old, and couples with children.

We stayed at Hutcha for 16 nights. We originally booked Superior bungalow and after one night upgraded to Riverside. Defintely worth the extra money. More room, furniture on balcony,internet cable in room and shelves and all together bigger for a longer stay.More ocean breeze in Riverside bungalows. SiameServices was a great booking service. Have used before and will again. As for Hutcha.. it was fabulous. Close enough to walk to lots of restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. Pool and massage service great.Rooms cleaned immaculately every day. Gardens are wonderful.Good english spoken and understood.All over a fantastic place to stay

Small rooms but a serene setting in natural enfvironment which made our stay such a pleasant one. Rooms need shelves or drawers and a full length mirror would be a welcome addition but on the whole we were satisfied. A quiet part of the island which suited us, and easy access onto the beach. Staff were mostly friendly, breakfasts need some variety - we would return to Koh Sumui and return to Hutcha when we do.

Enjoyed my stay very much. Great place, great accomodation, all very well taken care of. The staff is friendly and the management shows genuine care towards the guests. There are many couple with young children here, and there seems to be no restrictions on them going into the pool. This is probably the reasons for the high amount of chlorine in the pool!

This is a beautiful facility. Gardens are gorgeous and well kept, housekeeping is excellent, staff are friendly and the restaurant serves delicious food, although the service is mixed. The most common problem is that one person's food will come out with enough time for them to finish it, and then the person they are dining with will get their food. Pool area is perfect.Small room for improvement in this great resort! We'll be back.

We stayed 14 days at HutCha Resort. We ve been there from january 9th til january 23th. It was our first trip to thailand. We had one of the Riverside Villas. It was a very big and luxury bungalow. The cleaning lady came every day and did a great job. She also brought us 2 bottles of water to drink every day for free. Breakfast was from 7 am til 10:30 am. It was a à la carte breakfast and very good. (International and Thai) The service people did a great job and have been always very friendly. The beach was clean too. 5 min. from the resort there where many shops and thai massage shops. The resort is located at Maenam Beach which is a pretty quiet beach, if you re looking for a less crowded area for relaxing. We will come back next year!

The rooms were great, with lovely drapes and very very soft bed linen. The bathroom was fantastic, and totally loved the area where we could relax at the back of the room. The breakfast was lovely, awesome pancakes! We had dinner there once, and we were very disappointed. Beautiful Beach is across from the restaurant where you can find lovely restaurants to choose from right on the beach. They re wifi did not work but they provided cabled internet so no complaints there. Pool was beautiful, but it had too much chlorine. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Recommend hutcha to everyone!

very nice rooms: very modern and well accomodated and decorated! open air bathrooms, which is very nice feeling. Bed was a little hard, but as often in Thailand. pool is very nice too. Close to Maenam beach, which is nice, quiet and close to Lomprayah catamarans arrival (from Koh Tao and Koh Phangan). secluded from all the Chaweng agitation, but not far away by taxi if you want to take a look at it (400 THB for one way). clients: mostly couples, seemed well educated (as not always in Koh Samui). people in the reception were very friendly, funny and helped us in every thing we asked for. in a few words: VERY GOOD DEAL for a hotel in Koh Samui.

This resort was very nice! The garden scenery was beautiful and the scenery to the ocean was very nice too. Staff was more that excellent, always very friendly and helpful. Food, especially breakfast, was delicious. Hutcha is more than affordable even for backpackers. If you like peaceful environment but not too far from the city lights then this is the place for you. The place is pretty near to Fisherman Village where you can find more restaurants and shops. Only 5-10 min. with pick-up buss and costs daytime 50 BHT per person. During night time more expensive, about 100 BHT. If I have to say something negative is that during dinner time it took quite a long time for the staff to make and serve the food but because it was warm and not raining it didn't bother so much ;) Me and my girlfriend will definetely come to Hutcha when we return to Samui. :) Thank you very much, Hutcha Resort staff

Beautiful hotel, nice houses, good service. Breakfast wasn't that good but after our comments this was improved right away. The beach in front of resort isn't that nice, however some nice spots to go to. We preferred the Bophut beach, which is a few minutes away. Better sand, nicer sea, good places for lunch or drink, more action.

Great little spot for a quiet getaway. Got a Riverside hut. Nice and private. Proximity to beach is nice, however entrance to the resort is a bit annoying. Not a real problem, just wish it was more easily accessible. The only downer was NO ROOM SERVICE :( all in all, a pretty good experience, and definitely value for money.

Four of us enjoyed staying in riverside bungalows for four days. Room numbers are very large with original and natural interior. Breakfasts and restaurant menu were on acceptable level. Hotel is very quiet and isolated by a river from other hotels. Very good sand beach. There is very pleasant family spa near the hotel. I certainly recommend this hotel to families with children or those who is interested in relaxing vacation.

Nice place, nice staff, nice pool, nice rooms, but forget anything to do with the restaurant. Go to the beach and pick any guest house café instead. One of the many restaurant mishaps was when I ordered an orange juice listed on the menu for 20 Baht. I was charged 50 Baht for it. When I said the price was wrong, I was told it was a large size -- although there was only one price on the menu and no mention of size. That's only one example of several why the restaurant should be avoided. Unfortunately, their cocktails are not as good as some of the place on the beach a few meters away.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hut Cha. The rooms were small, but clean and comfortable. There was not a lot of space to put clothes. The gardens were beautiful and made the walk to the restaurant enjoyable. The staff were excellent - always friendly and helpful. The food was excellent - we especially enjoyed eating in the evenings on the beach. We would recommend this resort highly.

We stayed in Hut Cha Resort Hotel at Maenam beach for 10 days and enjoyed the accommodation so much. Maenam beach is a perfect place for those who would like to spend some quiet time far away from boisterous life (which you could highly enjoy in Chaweng, Koh Samui), it is just perfect for families and children. As for us, we wanted some silence and it was the right place! The hotel is very charismatic, I would say the best at Maenam beach for modest budget, and allows you to fill yourself surrounded by tropical nature. Initially, we booked a Superior room with fan just for 3 nights, so we could see if we like the hotel at all and could upgrade the room, if required. However, we were just happy with the room we had (fan was just enough!) and with our choice of hotel, so we extended our staying in Hut Cha Resort for the rest period. For a very reasonable price you will have daily cleaning, change of towels every day, pool towels per request, 2 bottles of drinking water/day, fumigator, good breakfast with a good selection of food (menu a la carte). The hotel has a good pool with beach beds and umbrellas, own massage place. Every evening BBQ party is arranged just on a beach and it is so romantic! Everybody at Reception desk is very helpful and attentive to any request. I have already recommended the hotel to friends of mine who will travel to Koh Samui in October! We will definitely stay there again during our next vacation!

The Resort was beautiful and in a great location. The rooms where clean and modern and the air conditioner works very well. The resort is beside the beach and has a entry point to the beach but doesnt actually run along the beach. (This wasnt a problem as it was still very close to the beach) The staff where very helpful as all the beautiful people in Thailand are. The only negative point about the Resort was the Breakfast (It is fixed and an American Breakfast which after several days becomes boring) Considering every other place we stayed at had buffet breakfasts and really do it special. Considering the rest of the experience at the resort was awesome it is in our opinion its only let down) Hopefully the owners will change this and then the resort will be a perfect experience. Not wanting to finish on a negative note so apart from the breakfast which is just a little boring The rooms, location, staff, design and appearance of the resort and overall resort where Excellent. We would stay there again.

We booked the cheepest room. It's very small, without any space to store your belongings. It would be nice to have some drawers. But the place is nice, good pool, the restaurant is pretty good and cheap, the waiters a bit slower but we forgive them, as we were on vacations. the receptionists were helpful. It was a good value for money.

The resort is clean and the staff lovely friendly. The rooms we stayed in were small with no fridge or cupboards but that was only a minor setback. The pool was nice and big with plently of sun chairs and umbrellas. The beach was clean and a lovely golden colour. The sea was not clear but deep enough to swim in and a welcome relief from the baking sun. There is plenty to do around the island but the resort is a peaceful haven away from the noise and bustle.

Safe deposit boxes at the reception were ok for our needs. Bungalows had an open air bathroom, nice! Our room was not that big, as aspected (superior villa). The wardrobe is very smal without boards to place your cloth. So we lived one week out of our suitcases. The room is clean with silent AC, Flat-TV, Fridge, every day two bottles drinking water. We missed a hairdryer, phone and safe. The baby cot was old and the bed sags (in the middle). The mattress is very hard. The pool it not that big, but absolute enough. It has a separated childeren area. Best service are the every day fresh pool and beach towels!! Best for travelling with a smal suitcase. They have an own spa! GREAT!! The food at the restaurant is fresh and very delicous! The fruit-shakes and cocktails were fresh prepared. The staff was every time friendly, very helpful and children are welcome. Our son (~ 2 years) was playing with the staff. It's abaout 50-100 m to the beach (dependend with room you have). The resort has an own beach access. The sand at the beach is very coarse. not as aspected. The beach in front of the hotel is also good for children-playing because it falls slightly into the sea. Taxi from Nathon to Hut Cha: 400 THB, Taxi from Hut Cha to Airport: 300 THB. It was a very nice resort!! We can recomment the hotel!!

We stayed for 3 nights and had a great time. We had a double en-suite room which was very clean and comfortable. The pool was great. The hotel is on a quiet street away from the main road so it was lovely and quiet during the night.

Confirmed within 24 hours but it seemed a bit of a long winded process compared to other booking services. Usually you just get a confirmation within minutes as opposed to various emails from different addresses confirming credit card processing, authorization, payment acceptance etc. It doesn't feel like a one-stop-shop. But, it works!!!

This hotel was very new and very clean we stayed over christmas and found it very pleasant staff very helpful. The layout of the hotel was very good excellant pool very clean with good toilet facilities clean towels for beds round pool. The only downside and might not matter to a lot of people we found the room very small no wardrobe or drawers which we found very bizarre had to live out of our bags for a week. The room did not have a fridge or tv. I was not well for a day and found staying in the room not an option to small. Breakfast was a set choice which after 7 days was boring much prefer buffet style. This hotel was in maeman beach which I understood to be a small village. Quite shocked as to how built up around it was. Plenty of good restaurants and reasonable. This was our first visit to Koh Samui we did have a good time but after considering where we have stayed before in Thailand we would not visit the south again.

I would highly recommend Hutcha, my husband & I were doing the backpacking thing & stayed in some right dives, Hutcha was at the end of our trip, what with it being so cheap, we were expecting it to be about as scummy as the last few places. We were pleasantly surprised. The bungalow was cleaned everyday, decor was new & fresh, the grounds were beautiful & the staff couldn't of been more friendly & helpful. We will definitly be back next year.

A wonderful little resort and very nic, quiet and clean bungalows. Cheap to. Nice poolarea. And near beach. Only that you can say something about is breakfast can be improved. If you wanted water instead of juice you had to pay?? And you had to remind them to clean bungalow. Staff VERY nice. And our two bodyguards :) 2 dogs following us everywhere :) We would recommend this to everybody who reads this. Hutcha is great :)

Friendly staff and helpful,New, good cafe for dinner (breakfast could be improved), nice pool, close to beach, clean, quiet at night (secluded),Superior A/C had no TV or safe but there was security on the site. Shower average but did not smell. Would stay there again, ok value for money,although the room was a little small and would get cabin fever if it was raining for a long period, Needs internet, slightly off main road (They hire 200baht a day motorbikes solves this problem. Overall 4 out of 5.

We came to this hotel as guests, but left it as real friends. The staff is very friendly, open and ready to help, everybody is extremely client-oriented. Hotel is brand new, so everything here is very nice and tidy. Our house was clean and good looking. We liked the design of it a lot, especially great was terrace and open-air bathroom. Garden of the hotel is very beatiful as well. Bungalows face a small river, but there are no insects and the river is not smelly at all, so no need to worry about the river. Bungalows don't have sea-view, however beach is just in few steps. Hotel has 2 Thai massage specialists - both are just great. So, I could say that we really enjoyed our stay, it was real pleasure and relax. I will definately recommend this hotel to my friends and will come again to Hut Cha again for sure.
