Verry nice hotel! Me and my boyfriend stayed in crystal bay resort for 4 days. We had the BEST room! We sat on our balcony everyday and night to just look at the beach and ocean, sooo beautiful! The weather wasn't so good thou, it was verry windy and was raining one of the days, but it was ok. The beach was nice! Not so big but nice sand and the water was ok. Not cristalclear but nice! ;) pretty big waves to if you like that. The personal at the hotel was wonderful! So kind and helpful! The manager even drowe us to the city one day ;) There is no shopping near the hotel but it is just to stop a taxi outside the hotel and go;) We were in lamai it was nice! The food at the hotel was ok but not super great, we went to the other hotels at the beach several times to eat instead. We both would like to come back some day to wake up in our wonderful room and when you open your eyes you see the ocean! Wonderful!! ;)

Very good hotel with very friendly owners and staff…the location is absolutely great in a nice view point of a very nice beach .All the rooms have a nice view of the sea and very quiet …we had a great time and assuredly we will be back again!!!

Direkt am wunderschönen Silverbeach gelegenes, schon etwas älteres Hotel. Wir hatten ein sehr grosses Seaview- Zimmer mit Balkon. Die Möbel sind schon etwas verschliessen, gut gefüllte Minibar zu günstigen Preisen, täglicher Handtuchwechsel, Reinigung und Bettwäschewechsel in Ordnung. Da man sich ja tagsüber eigentlich nicht im Zimmer aufhält, ist das Zimmer absolut ausreichend und von der Lage her nicht zu übertreffen. Frühstück gut mit 3 Menues zur Auswahl( European, Thai, American). Freundliches Personal. Das Hotel wird ab Mai für 3 Monate wegen Renovierung geschlossen. Wenn die Zimmer anständig renoviert werden, Möbel, Aircondition, Bodenfliesen etc. erneuert werden, wird das Hotel sicher noch besser. Unnötigerweise soll auch ein Pool gebaut werden, den man nicht braucht, da man direkt am schönsten Strand von Samui ist. Fazit: Gute, ausreichende Location für Leute mit nicht zu hohen Ansprüchen bei einem guten Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

Excellent rapport qualité/prix,accueil très sympathique, rien à dire concernant la propreté et l équipement des chambres.Le personnel est aux petits soins, le restaurant délicieux, et surtout, la vue sur cette plage qui est à notre avis la plus belle de l ile est époustoufflante!

We have been there for 2 weeks from 22 of November till 2 of December in 2010. At first we should mark kindness and politeness of the personnel, delicious food, good service at restaurant, nice room (G-1) and very excellent sea view with big balcony. Really the hotel is placed in the most quite and romantic bay on the island. The hotel is located a bit far from Lamai and Chaweng beaches but it is possible to rent a motorbike in the hotel. We hope to return there again.

Fantastico! posizionato nella baia più bella e tranquilla dell isola, e a pochi minuti dai centri più importanti . Per le camere scegliete le due più in alto. valgono i pochi euro in più al giorno. The hotel is located on the secluded beach between Lamai and Chaweng, which is good for everyone who does not want to see any shopping or crowds of people. But prepare to the rocky sea bottom. And it takes forever to get to the deep spot. Great sea view from Deluxe room. However, the bed did not seem very clean and nice. There were problems with the shower and lamp in the bathroom was not working (everything was fixed immediately after I complained second time to reception). Restaurant is great. Very good food and relatively cheap.

The hotel room was absolutely stunning. Unfortunately it was raining all three days of our stay which meant we couldn't make use of the lovely beach area. But the beautiful room with stunning views made it worth while. The only downside was that this place is in the middle of 2 towns so it costs you a bit of money to catch a taxi to and from town everytime. Definitely a place to go for a honeymoon though - make sure you book the panoramic seaview room.

Great location, right on the beach. Fantastic view from the room (stayed in Deluxe 2), but renovation is needed urgently! The bed's mattress is at least unacceptable.. The staff is very friendly, always smiling and willing to help. Overall, a good impression.

Tolles Resort direkt am Strand (von unserem Zimmer waren es keine 30 Schritte über den feinen Sand ins Meer). Ruihiger Strand mit nur 3 Resorts und ohne Laufkundschaft. Gutes Essen, gutes Frühstück und sehr freundliches Personal. Kann man nur empfehlen!

The simplicity of this place and the genial, but very quiet, hosts, created some good memories. We had the penthouse and the view was spectacular. The resort is one of about 4 sharing the same bay-snorkelling was not good in the murky water.

Crystal Bay is all that it advertises. The view and beach is excellent. The price, service and facilities are very agreeable. Though the bar closes at 9pm, which is little inconvenient. I would certainly stay there for my next Samui vacation.

Just back from this great place on the most beautiful beach on Samui. Great rooms (we had grand deluxe with 3 panoramic glass walls ovelooking the sea), geat cuisine, cheap; nice staff. Just carefully check that you re given the room you ve payed for, cuz when we arrived they wanted to give us cheaper room without any comments, making fool of us. Nevertheless, definitely recommend.

We had a wonderfull time at the Chrystal Bay Resort. The Staff was very nice, friendly and really really helpfull (the Owner drove us to the Airport at 4:00 am). The Food in the Restaurant was tasty and not to expensive. The Beach was one of the nicesest we had in all Thailand !! The Room was good and got cleaned every day. I would definetly go back there when i have the money, and recommend this place to everybody who just want to chill some days. if you want to Party you have to get a taxi or something.

Excellent location and seaside: very few tourists and a small clean beach between noisy Chaweg and Lamai, with lots of nice restaurants that you can enjoy at lunchtime. You can also enjoy massages on the actual beach. We stayed in the resort 3 nights in what was supposed to be the best room in the hotel, seaside front villa overlooking the sea. The room was very expensive, 3000 baht per night. Upon arrival we realised that the room had probably not been used for a long time and was full of small insects, also because it was located amongst palm trees. From the bathroom -which was design-like with all pebbles around the shower- there came ants too. So next morning we commented with the hotel manager that we wished the room to be cleaned otherwise we would have left. So they did but honestly the room should have been prepared and cleaned before the arrival of the guests and not upon their request! We felt that although the location was excellent, the resort is overpriced, at least for the kind of room we booked. Also: the resort reception is open only from 8am to 10pm and then there is none at the front desk to take care of the customers needing help. It is true that the managers live inhouse so should you need help during the night you have actually to ring their house bell! In our room we had no phone in case of emergency or should we need something during the night. Breakfast had a choice of continental, American and Asian food and we did not pay for it because it was included but in the morning they would should you the breakfast pricelist. I have not understood why. All in all I must admit that the the manager was quite helpful though in telling us what was best to do on the island and there is also a motorbike renting service from the resort itself. From other customers we learnt that with the same view at a cheaper price you could get good rooms. So probably we woulkd stay there again but we would recommend to go for a cheaper room. The rest of the staff was very kind and helpful and if you wanted you could enjoy a drink or meal on the terrace overlooking the sea.If you don't want to use the expensive taxis you can reach the resort by sangthouw (shared vans) for about 60 baht from the city harbour located west of the island.

The resort location was just picturesque. Not too far from Chaweng and Lamai, but far enough away to be peaceful, restful & romantic. Service was perfect. Not too intrusive, but just helpful enough. Definitely coming back here!

We stayed at the Crystal for 8 nights and dont regreat. Location is perfect - the most beautiful beach on the island. You can rent motobike, buy sightseing tours right in the hotel and prises are good. We had deluxe panoramic - really perfect view right from the bed!!! Managers of hotel and other staff are very friendly, helpful and pleasant people. Restaurant right at the sea has perfect dishes - coconut soup was our favourite! :) Really wish to come back to have that soup again! :)

This hotel really is very nice. We stayed in the deluxe panorama room and what a beautiful room it was. Very nicely done out, spacious with a lovely unusual shower area. The view from the bed was spectacular. Staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the little bay that it is situated in away from the commercialisation of Lamai & Chaweng but at the same time very central. Although there is no pool, there is a beautiful palm fringed bay.

The beach is amazing, perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Chewang. Cost to chewang in a truck is about 50 Baht per person into chewang and 100 baht per person back from Chewang. Cheaper to rent a scooter. Food was good, breakfast is great, order what ever you want, the girls in the restuarant are fantastic. Rooms, simple but very clean, spacios and tidy (we had a Delux beachfront view)

Crystal Bay Resort is set on a lovely beach which is much quieter than Chawaeng. The food was cheap and tasty especially the breakfast. The rooms were lovely and the service was v good. The beach is much nicer than any of the other beaches we went to during our stay on Ko Samui. It is easy to get to by taxi and had the weather been better, we would have stayed longer. Snorkelling was just okay, like anywhere else on Ko Samui. But if snorkelling is your thing, go to Phi Phi where you can snorkel the Marine Park which is better than any of the snorkel points we went to off Ko Tao and Ko Pha ngan.

Excellent location for those who value or need a relaxed week or two in a secluded bay. We had a relaxing time in Crystal Bay resort. Everybody in the family who runs the place was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The room was big and clean (beach bungalow) and service was great. Breakfast was good and we appreciated the choice of Thai or continental or American options. There are three restaurants by the beach with very reasonable prices and good food. Lamai with more bars and restaurants is also a short bike or taxi ride away. Definitely recommended.

Nice, small hotel with bedrooms from normal up to highest quality. The upper rooms have a beautiful view over the small but nice beach. Food is ok, we can recommend the breakfast. Perfect site lying between the overcrowded Chaweng beach and the new red destrict of Lamai (especially in the evening). On Koh Samui one of the better bungalows!

We arrived at the hotel to find our room to be full of flies. (This probably to do with the high tides the previous week). When I asked if the room could be cleaned they replied the flies wouldn't bite, and they would maybe clean the room the next day. This was enough for me!! The room was a seaview room (this being the only good factor). We decided to loose our deposit and return to stay at the Waterfront hotel in Bohput (of which we can recommend). First impressions count for us unfortunately The Crystal Bay hotel was not meant to be !!
