Mycket bra hotell för alla. Barnvänligt för familjer. Hotellet ligger vid den bästa delen av Chawengstranden. Ligger lite för långt från centrum men perfekt för den som inte vill parta varje kväll. Bra service,städning varje dag. Bra frukost. Bra priser på boende och i restaurangen. Jag skulle önska att personalen i restaurangen kunde bättre Engelska för att undvika missförstånd.

The pictures of this hotel are misleading and are not very realistic. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to get proper value for his money. We took the standard room and got broken air conditioner and a bathroom covered with mold, exposed rusty water pipes and shabby floor. We heard from other people that the deluxe bungalows are better but we were not interested to upgrade since we were so disappointed from our room. The only upside was that the staff was nice and helped us to communicate with SiameServices in order to change the hotel and even transferred our suitcases to the new hotel.

It was a pleasant stay at this resort even thou it was some things that could have make it even more pleasant. Ok breakfast with different kind of eggs, sereals, bread and fruit. But the breakfast area could have been more cozy with a little bit update in furniture and som paint.. 2 nice pools with pleanty of sunbeds (could need som upfreshing ). Nice and kind staff. The bungalows are old but still nice and if you want, cleaning every day. Vey nice that it is cloce to the beach even tough they colud clean the beach more often tough it was windy and the beach got dirty quick. It was a 15 minutes stroll in to the crazy heart of chaweng, really nice with the calm and quite down south. And if you want action it´s not far away Overall a nice resort with nice staff.

i had been several times during the last years in this old but clean resort. My main reason to do this was the quiet location next to Centara. In case no drunken guests making party until 5 o clock in the morning. A complaint by the security had been shown no effect. The staff is sometimes kind sometimes less when interrupting unexpectedly by sitting in front of the mirror by maintainance of the eye lid make up. The breakfast is sufficient if you expect no gala dinner. Partly the noodles and the vegetables were cold and taste similar like my tissue at the table but you cannot expect delicious meals for this price. I paid 1200 Baht per night, a little to much for a low season holiday in a 2-star resort. Also the tsunami barrier of ugly concrete tubes at the beach was not a feast for my eyes. I think there are some better accomodations for that price at the chaweng beach, but for me the location was crucial. Reiner

Booked a standard bungalow and on checkin was upgraded to a deluxe room which I was naturally very happy about. Unfortunately, although the room was bigger and had a DVD player it was right next to the kitchen and very noisy between 6am and 930pm. Also Had no balcony or outdoor area and no smoking room. Breakfast average, staff service and friendliness average but location excellent. Avoid room 201.

We had front street room. See through curtains, to an old room.Bed had dirty marks on front bed head. Easily fixed with a little paint.On arrival, no orientation to room and facilities.Bed cover torn.Shower head spurted out water, over toilet and wash basin. I tightend head .Fixed problem. However, i enjoyed my stay. Great location,right on great beach.Good breakfast.Top gym(above front office)which was rarely used.

We stayed here for 12 nights. The bungalow, a superior one, was large and what we expected. The fitness room was ok. The beach fine and the two pools alright. Perhaps they could have cleaned them more often. On the opposite side of the resort is a restaurant well worth visiting, cheap and nice food. The resort is placed a bit from Chaeweng center, but not too far. There are shops etc near by, but even more closer to the center. The beach is nice, sand sand sand.

I have been to this Hotel twice, once in 2009 and recently Jan 2010 I am very impressed by the housekeeping and the staff at the front desk....When we checked in, the room was allocated near the pool which I specified in my booking that I did not want to be near the pool....Staff were very obiligetic and upgraded us to a very nice room Overall, I always have a pleasant stay here and the housekeeping is very good...I can't believe how many towels this hotel supplies! Im planning to stay here again in 2011

The staff were really helpful & friendly and our delux gardenview baungalow was really nice, with the slight exception of the usual toilet issues, though this is common in Chaweng. the hotel is a little tired. The beach access is excellent, though the pools are a little small and the breakfast restaurant space is very shiney & black, which is very gleary in the mornings. The staff make it worthwhile & the room was good. Would stay again.

This is the fourth time that I ve stayed at this hotel. It is definitely in the best part of Chaweng Beach but the hotel is looking very tired. The rooms were not well cleaned when we arrived and the linen on the bed was dirty. It's probably still value for money as the rate per night was not too steep but I think I'll try another hotel next time!

The standard bungalow is OK. Big toilet, clean, the bed was great!!! Stayd in bungalow 411. The pool is OK, breakfeast ok.. This is my first stay at Chaweng Beach. I like Lamai much better. Cheaper, smaller, cleaner. If you want to stay at Lamai I will recommend: Lamai Inn99 or Lamai Waanta. Both place are on the beach with pool.The beach is better on Chaweng, but thats it. Much cheaper and much better than Chaweng Resort..

I booked standard bungalow with breakfats. We had bungalow number 604 located 2 steps from swimming pool and 5 steps from sunbeds and the beach. I absolutely loved it. Bungalow was cleaned every day and fresh towels have been delivered as well unless you did put the sing outside that you do not want it to be cleaned. Bungalow had a kettle, fridge and walk in shower with refilled shampoo and soap every day. It had plenty of channels in foreign languages. If you like to spend your holidays in the hotel or room you may not like it as it was just a standard one with bed and simply furniture. I personally loved it. We had a table with chairs outside so now and again we had meal there either ordered from the hotel or bought from local markets. The help from reception was very good and you could use internet fro free every day for 30 minutes. Breakfast was buffet type and it was more than plenty to choose from fresh fruits, juices, all sorts of breads and cooked breakfast to different kinds of cereals. I loved food in the restaurants near the hotel but i learned that if you just walk further more into local food market or ride on the scooter (150-250 bat per day plus gasoline on the top) you can get grilled fish and the taste will be hundred times better than from the best restaurant. I paid 240 bat for 4 fishes, equivalent of £5. I had so much fruits such as mango, papaya, watermelon etc from little shops on wheel from 15-20 bat per one fruit and they tasted absolutely gorgeous. Weather was roasting hot 37 degrees or more every day. I have been knackered just from weather lol and most of my days i spend on the beech sunbathing. I came tanned to Koh Samui but i still got burned from the sun so i strongly recommend 50 or higher factors. There is plenty of jet ski and babana boats on the beach and you can bargain a price. I paid around 1000 bat for 30 minutes for 1600cc jet ski. Evenings i spent shopping and here you definitely need to remember about bargaining as well as much as you can and what i was doing was offering half of the asking price and most of the time i got it. I could probably write an esay about the resort and place itself lol and all positive staff. I absolutely loved it and i am planning my next trip this year.

Nice hotel, big nice room, the bathroom was enormous, a lot of space. Clean. A bit old. The veranda was noise, the noise comes from the old AC, so not so nice to sit outside. Inside it was quiet. Stuff helpful and nice. If you wanted to have your room cleaned, you needed to turn a sign, a bit odd... The beach was very nice! We had a superior bungalow. We stayed for 5 nights. I would recommend this to all!

The hotel was wonderful. I would recommend it to anyone. The rooms were clean with very very effective air-conditioning. The pool and grounds were cleaned and swept a couple of times a day. The resort is right on the beach with lots of deck chairs which you don't have to pay for. The breakfast had a great variety too. We were very happy with the hotel and it made the stay in Koh Samui that much better! You definately need a hotel right on the beach and this was the prime position.

definatley not what we expected. Made Reservations two months in advance for 2 Beachfront Bungalows but when we arrived only one was available. They reaccomidated us but still a big hassle. They need to reinvest some of the money they make back into the place. I think calling this place a resort is not exactly correct. One day several years ago it probably was . Will not reccomend this to anyone else and i will not rebook here again. Staff very good and friendly.

The hotel is located on Chaweng Beach. As we spent the second part of our stay in Samui in B.B.Chaweng Resort in the other part of Chaweng, we could see the difference. Chaweng Resort location is very good: in the beginning of the main shopping street with its massage salons, shops and restaurants/bars. At the same time it is more quiet there even at night time. The cost of massage is 50 Bat less than northward. But the best advantage concerns the beach. Chaweng Resort has a very decent beach, well-kept and clean. In this part of the Chaweng the hotels are not so concentrated as northward. There are only few people on the beach at any day time. The chaise lounges stand on the territory of the hotel and we every time could find the vacant ones. Only one dog mooned around from time to time:) -in comparison with BB Chaweng Resort area, where sometimes up to four mongrels used to beachcomb. Beach pedlars pass by not very often carrying ice-cream, fruit, grilled chickens and catfishes, sometimes they offer henna tatoos or some shmatte. Unfortunately they don't sell seagood on the beach like in Pattaya (due to some problems they could have with seafood restaurants. We saw the similar problem on Phuket island). Only two jet boats were lied up away from the bathing area. These jetskis were used only in the evenings and did not bother us. The first day of our stay we had to live in the beachfront villa # 401 as our deluxe garden view was not available yet. We would rather stay there for the rest of the days: this number 401 is located just on the beach and a bit away from the main beachlife. There are two rooms in it: bedroom and living room. The floors are wooden. The bed is a king size really with a baldachin. The bed clothes is brown and orange. In the bedroom there is a big LCD TV with DVD player. In the living room there is a sofa, a table + chairs and a smaller TV. There is also an inroom electronic safe and an elecric kettle. The rooms are decorated in Thai Style - very nicely. The bath room is designed in a grotto style, with black mosaic on the walls and on the floor. The bathroom has a black bathtub with a flexible shower - it is very rarely present in Thai hotels. The sink is black too, as well as toilet bowl. The black sanitary porcelain was also in the deluxe garden view villa where we moved the next day. We were given a choice of three villas. They have different design outside and inside. We chose the one with flexible shower. The other two had only overhead one. But, to my opinion, these villas were lighter inside than the one we chose. I do not like darkness, and the dark wooden floor, dark wooden panels, dark marble tiles and black sanitary porcelain opressed me. But it is only my own point of view- I know people who may like this. The second minus of the hotel - you never know when the hot water appears and when it is over. The hot water supply is very unregular - but we saw the same problem in other Thai, Turkish and Egyptian hotels. But I think, this problem is not very big. There is no Russian TV channel on TV, and overall choice of channels is not wide (we could not watch Olimpic games duly). The staff of the hotel is very friendly and always ready to help. Breakfast starts at 6 A.M. and ends at 10 p.m. The food is good and the retaurant staff do not rush to withdraw the food exactly at 10 p.m. The atmosphere is very serene - my main impression from the hotel. Electrical interconnection is made so that one have to switch off all the electric appliances and illumination separately (in other hotels the electricity is switched off after you pull out the keys), but if you leave the house, you can leave the aircon switched on - very conveniently when you return from the heat to the cool room. There are also inroom safe and electric kettle in this type of villa. What else we should recommend for all bungalows in Thailand: do not leave bread and sweets on the table: ants will come very soon. Put it in the fridge, or throw in the bin outside the house (near the door). In spite of the small shortcomings we can recommend this hotel - good price for good accomodation. The good advice: the overall level of massage is lower than in Pattaya and Phuket, price 250 Bat for foot massage does not mean that it will be better than the same for 200 bat. In the Chaweng Resort area massage is cheaper. We can recommend to drop in the salon with white leather chairs and staff dressed in orange uniform (there is the only one in Chaweng like this) - the staff there is more experienced. Do not go to the Paragon massage salon: the staff is the young girls having no idea of the right massage. Dining advice: we often used to eat at the Crystal small restaurant located in the side-street leading to the main road. They have a wide choice of cources, serve very quickly at the reasonable prices.

We stay at the Chaweng Resort every year. It's right on the beach, has two small swimming pools, plenty of sunbeds and the breakfast is good. The rooms are spacious and clean. It is looking very tired now and could do with a lick of paint but that doesn't bother us. It's very reasonably priced and not in the noisy area. Great place to stay!

Good location with beach at end of hotel area. Bungalows/rooms are not european standard, but all in all decent. No posh luxury, but for the price we didn't expect it either. Breakfast buffet was ok. A lot of trees and plants surrounding the bungalows made it look nice, but it also attracted alot of mosqitos. The hotel is located south on Chaweng beach, and the beach was quiet and not over crowded.

We stayed in this resort 3 years ago & were very disappointed with our recent visit. The general upkeep of the resort in the interim period has been very poor. A couple of examples follow- 1) The pool jacuzzi did not work & an open hole with electrical wires was exposed 2) The patio rail of our bungalow had been removed leaving reinforcing metal exposed & potentially dangerous. 3) The retaining wall on the beachside looked as if it had been damaged by the sea. Lumps of rubble with sharp remained on the beach. On arrival we were sorry to see that the reception was dirty & flower arrangements had died but not removed. Dead petals littered the floor. Daily cleaning of the accommodation was scant. On the positive side the breakfasts were good & varied & the restaurant staff very friendly & helpful. Like wise the housekeeping staff. It seems as if the training & general management & oversight of the resort is lacking. What makes the resort worth staying at is the beach & proximity to the town & all it has to offer. By choice we would not stay here again.

Chaweng Resort

Accommodation and facilities:
It was all in all a a very positive stay. We liked the beach a lot, the breakfast was excellent and the bungalow suitable. The crew at reception and leaning ladies were most helpful and kind. The garden was beautiful and though it seemed a great task - kept very well by the gardeners. It must be hard to attend such a huge and thick greenery:) The location is perfect. However, let me have some remarks that maybe do not inquire so much financial efforts but would higly increase the comfort of an European traveller. We realize that for such a money we won't get new, but.... We haven't had hot water in our bungalow even when - according to the sign-we kept the A/C on... I would heve been a little bit happier if the inner white walls of our bungalow weren't marked with dirt stains and the curtain of the bed wasn't torn, but let's say- mended:) We could have also imagined that the reception building is kept a bit more clean as it is the first impression a traveler gets and the bungalows are much better tended, but that turns out only later if one gets till there. I realize that it is hard to keep the dust away in the dry season and because of lack of rain dirt is in the air especially on the street front, but it would higly increase the trust of the newcomer. One more thing: the flooring of stairs at the garden showers must be repared!!! It's hard to step on under the shower on such a rough surface!!! Anyway, if we go next time, we'll choose you again:) I ve seen some nice beaches in my life but yours could be the most beautiful, BUT clean it of plastics, bottles other mess and cigarette ends, beacuse other beaches are much better at that!!! I know it is not only your responsibility but the joint effort of all the hotels on the beach, but it would pay back it soon:) Best regards, Attila & Eszter from Hungary
