At one stage during our stay, we had a total of 13 friends staying at the Chaweng Buri Resort. We had Buri 101 next to the pool and the beach and the Massage Hut, which has a large verandah and which we used as the meeting place every evening at 5.30/6 pm for drinks and a get together before deciding where to go for dinner at a different venue every night. The Chaweng Buri provided us with everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the staff were marvelous. We were the ones who researched and suggested the Chaweng Buri to everyone and when we got there, we were pleased to find that our choice was not misplaced. When we go back to Koh Samui, Chaweng Buri will certainly be at the top of the list of places for us to stay.

After surfing the net for hours we decided to stay at Chaweng Buri and it was so much better than expected. The location was right in the heart of the most convenient spot. Only it can be a bit noisy at night. All the rooms are individual cottages so you can have personal and cosy stay. The bed is nice. They have one double bed and one single bed in the room. Very convenient. The bathroom is clean and nice and bright, I think recently renovated. The pool was great! Just right temperature. Breakfast was ok. All the people were friendly and nice. It would have been better if there was a Korean TV channel and the lighting in the room was a bit too dark.

This Hotel should be rated more than what it is.It is located on the best part of Chewang Beach.The water is Crystal clear and clean to swim in not like further towards the Ark Bar as it is MUD.Plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas.Noise was not a problem from either the busy chewang main street or the beach.We stayed in the Superior Buri and had plenty of room,the bathrooms are a little dated but Clean.Breakfast was good fresh eggs cooked just the way you wanted,fresh fruit etc.Staff are very friendly and grounds are maintained daily by two very nice lady and man.I would stay here again when we return to Koh Samui.

Not bad for the price - but glad I was only booked for 3 nights. The hotel is tired and in a state of decay . When things have broken they have been poorly patched up. A lot of money needs to be spent to restore this to what it must have been like when first built. The location, beach and breakfast were however very good. Would not recommend it unless or until it is properly maintained. Probably 2 stars.

Unbelievable.Perfect location with the beach on one side and high street on the other.The log huts were beautiful with an excellent environment. The hotel beach was wonderful, the swimming pool was being renovated but didnt need to go there. Our two teenaged boys and we had a most memorable holiday.

Availability of sunbeds/sunbrellas still a problem. Most of serving staff lack command of basic English, leading to unacceptable delays. Lack of experienced staff at supervisory level to lead the pleasant but inexperienced serving staff compounds the issue.

First the postive: The location is great and the pool area to. The private beach is probably one of the best in chaweng. The bungalows are little bit to dark, because there are not enough lamps. The hotel make comercial with a fitness room on their website. But there isn't a fitness room in this hotel! The low season rates are most i would afford, for a room like that. Everything else is far overpriced.

This is my second time in this hotel. The first time was 4 years ago, and I enjoyed it very much than. But, I had some hesitations before booking this time, due to the not so good reviews the hotel received sometimes in the past years. After 9 nights at the hotel, I must say, that the hotel is wonderful as I remembered it: the room was nice and clean, the gardens are amazing, the stuff was very friendly, breakfast was good and the beach is perfect. All in all, it is a great value for money.

It is the second time we have stayed at this Hotel, and we would love to return. Chaweng Buri is a medium level resort, excellent value for money, and on the sandy part of Chaweng beach which does not have rocks at low tide. The rooms are individual bungalows, adequate size, and are clean and comfortable. They have a covered verandah for those evening drinks. Although situated between the beach and the busy main road, there is no traffic noise whatsoever. Security is excellent, with security guards front and rear, and night time patrols of the grounds. The breakfasts are beautiful, but we chose to dine elswhere around Chaweng. The staff could not be more friendly or helpful.I would recommend Chaweng Buri as a good value medium level Hotel in the best part of Chweng beach.

Cheweng Buri is in a great location. It has a nice buffet breakfast and the staff are nice. I did however find the rooms quite dark and two days we did not get beach towels because there were no clean ones and it is very hard to get a beach chair.

The Chaweng Buri Resort is definately worth staying at. The resort itself has a quiet jungle theme and hard to belive it's smack bang in the middle of Chaweng beach road (near McDonalds and Tropical murpheys). The main bars are only a few minutes walk away. The pool and beach bar are superb, I didn't try the restaurant but it looks really good. On more of a negative note, when I arrived the hotel was having problems with yellow water (something about the mix I was informed) and my toilet was blocked, I had to get angry with the manager in order to get my room changed. New room toilet good, but water still slightly yellow. Apart from that, I would recomend the hotel. (just check the water is fixed before you book)

We, my husband, 11yrs old son and myself had a wonderful time at Chaweng Buri resort.Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms were cleaned and bedding & towels changed daily. I loved sitting of a morning on my verandah, listening to birds and looking at the lush green vegetation. The beach was a few seconds from our room and is beautiful- perfect for families of all ages. I did find the retaurants a little pricey for what they are offering. Thank you Chaweng Buri for the freebies of Thai massage, dinner and island tour. I recommend this resort!

The service was great, we got an earlier check in and a later check out. The standard on the Businessroom was ok but in need of renovation if you think of the price we payed. I was dissapointed that i told the hotel that it was our hooneymoon yet nothing to celabrate it, not even a flower in the room or a nice welcome drink. I been in other hotels with better standard and payed less and we got all the above even thoe it was not our honeymoon. Still it was a good hotel.

hotel requiring extensive refurbishment especially the bathrooms is true that the hotel is well situated in relation to the centre chaweng and the seafront but it remains a hotel unsafe and should do something about all these stray dogs circulating in the hotel and staff are not very enthusiastic brief pas terrible for the price, I had a great luxury

Brilliant, right on the beach one way and Chaweng main street the other, but we had no noise. Staff very very friendly, couldn't be more helpful everything is done with a smile. The timber chalets/bungalows were lovely. We were a bit apprehensive of being in the centre of Chaweng because of the vibrant night life but we needn't of bothered. Would go back again.

Location is grate,middle of Chaweng,on the beach, on the main road there u can fined restaurants, internet caff e, Starbucks coffee, travel agency, laundry... the deluxe room have enough space for three persons, the room dark, a bite neglected, the law staff very friendly, with reception staff hard communication in English, not very helpful, be aware that check out in 12 at noon, we ask to charge us for late check out and they did nt try to fined a proper solution for the request or the luggage (that left in the open lobby for all the after noon)

Our second stay at Chaweng Buri. We really like this hotel, nice and helpfull staff. Very nice garden, it's like a jungle. Close to shopping and restaurants. Big and clean bungalows. It was my 4. stay at Chaweng Buri Resort (1998+1999+2001+2008) and it was very nice and wonderful again. Please save the wonderful garden! The one thing, we are sad about: the whole chaweng beach is not beautiful as ten years ago... Very much waste in the sand and water.

We lived in the hotel for the new year, two families, we are very liked. The service was good. The only thing we did not like this celebration of the new year. It was boring, food and drinks are not liked. It was expensive (4500 BHT per person, pay more when making reservations), and had to pay for drinks separately. This time, we went into this room, hoping for good service, but this time it was much worse. I do not know why, but the personnel was worse than the last time, there was no bath robes, etc. While our friends who lived in this hotel during this period, such problems did not exist. I think you need to agree on the reception immediately, that there were no such deficiencies. Overall, the hotel good location, good rooms, limping slightly service (according to the latest trip).

Chaweng Buri Resort was a fantastic choice for our accommodation during our trip to Koh Samui. The location was fantastic right in the heart of chaweng beach. The resort itself was more than we expected with beautiful bungalow style rooms surrounded by the lush rain forest setting. The facilities were extremly enjoyable, and the food was great. I would definately return to this resort for my next holiday to Koh Samui

Chaweng Buri Resort was a real disappointment!!! we stayed there one week, when we arrived the room was a smoking room and it smelled of smoke (we have requested a non-smoking room) we went to the reception desk in order to ask to change room and the lady was really unpolite with us saying that they were fully booked and at that moment we could not change our room. The room was very old-fashioned, we stayed in samui paying less but having much more comfort, the bathroom was dirty and old. Finally, we got a new room, but although the room was nicer Chageng Buri doens t worth the price we paid. Only positive aspects were the beautiful beach and good location. we don't reccomend this resort.
