The hotel is quite nice and service is good as we expected. The room is cleaned every day. There are free beach towels. Breakfast is ok but without any fruits and fresh. At first we booked room on 5 days and then extended the rent on additional 5 days. We are happy staying in the hotel. We advise the hotel to take a calm rest.

Great place if your on a budget and your expectations arent too high.. I would stay here again. I had a small motorbike accident and they were very very fair with their estimate and was relieved that they didnt want to rip me off, as you hear so many times in Thailand. There is another Baan Saan Sook, but its the villas , small confusion, but as soon as they figured it out, they transferred us to the correct hotel, free of charge... In summary very fair and honest place.

I loved the pool. It was very nice and clean. The view from there is amazing. The small hike up to it is totally worth it, or you can ask for a ride to it from the front desk but it wasn't that far. The room was good. Some bug issues, but used some bug spray and took care of it. Shower pressure kind of low though. Will definitely head back again.

We loved this resort. The staff provided us with an A+ service and could not do enough for us including driving us into the centre or the beach. We ended up booking an extra night when we returned to Koh Samui. The best thing about the resort is the amazing pool - the view is beautiful. The resort is approx 10 - 15 mins walk from the beach but this suited us fine as we wanted to be able to get a good nights sleep. As previously mentioned the staff will drive you to the restaurants and beach. The resort is on a hill but again the staff will drive you up to your room if you can't manage the walk. We highly recommend this resort for the wonderful service and the amazing view from the pool!

Cheaper rooms very basic. Go for the new built ones at the top of the hill. The pool is very nice with good views over the lake. Also the bar food by the pool is nice and good value for money and the staff are very nice and freindly

The hotel is a very pretty set up. Its on a hill so the view from the rooms is great provided u have a sea view room. A drop is avaiable to the beach and to our rooms from the reception. The pool is amazing with a superb view. Poo, the hotel caretaker, was of immense help and had a smiling face all the time. All in all a great stay.

Tres mauvais Rapport qualite-prix L hotel possede une piscine splendide, la vue depuis cette piscine est tres belle, les bungalows se trouvent en contrebas. Si vous payez comme moi le supplement pour vue mer, vous vous sentirez arnaque car ils sont dans les arbres et si vous avez de la chance vous en aurez un avec un tout petit coin de mer a l horizon. Le jardin est bien entretenu et les bungalows semblent bien, vu de l exterieur. Une fois dedans le choc est garanti. Le matelas est avec des ressorts. Vous pourrez les compter sans probleme. J ai voulu a 1 heure du matin tourner le matelas parce que l autre cote me semblait meilleurs. J ai pour cela ouvert le lit. Le drap du dessous, propre et repasse etait tres dechire. C etait trop et j ai change de bungalow en pleine nuit. A part ca la nappe plastique de la table du balcon etait completement dechiree, la chambre etait a repeindre, la porte de la salle de bain completement pourrie par l eau, le rideau de douche dechire,le mecanisme de la fenetre a clayette qui sert pour avoir du courant d air, casse, une prise de courant egalement, 2 des 4 verrous qui ferment une fenetre de cote casses egalement, et j en passe. Le plus: en face du lit il y a 12 gros clauras en verre sans rideau. Les moins malins ont colle ce qu ils ont pu a l aide de scotchs qui pourrissent le mur. Les autres, et ca peut vous servir si malgre tout vous choisissez cet hotel, ont pose un fauteuil sur la television afin de faire tenir la couverture devant ces clautras. Si vous utilisez le coffre, sachez qu il est tenu par deux petites vis et qu il suffit de tirer sur le coffre pour que les vis passent a travers la planchette de 5 mm sur laquelle le coffre est fixee. La tele n a pas de chaine en Francais. Il n y a pas de portail a l entree de la propriete et aucun gardien. En bref cet ensemble est laisse a l abandon au niveau des chambres. Il n y a pas d hommme d entretien et c est inconcevable

Booked three of the sea view rooms expecting a good standard but got a very dirty room that lacked basic cleaning standards. Dirty walls, stains and ground in muck on the walls by the bed as well as animal droppings all over the bathroom walls and mirror. Also got stained filthy looking bath towels. Complained to reception but got no response and ended up paying the cleaner extra to get the room up to an acceptable standard. Also found the reception staff to be arrogant and unhelpfull but only too willing to sort out a taxi to the airport for four times the going rate. Second visit to Thailand touring round this year and this was the only hotel I would not return to or recommend.

This is a great hotel for the price. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. Free transport is available to Chaweng Beach and other places if requested. The hotel is located on a steep hill but a guest is assisted with luggage and with transport to parts of the resort such as the swimming pool. The bungalows are spacious, comfortable and clean. There is an excellent TV channel selection. This hotel is highly recommended

I have been to Samui many times but this was my first visit to Suan Sook and I will be back for sure . Very friendly staff and helpful , nice individual bungalows . As long as you are semi fit for walking up hill you will have no problem . I enjoyed to exercise daily really . the pool has to be the most spectacular in all of Samui . My only other suggestion is to hire a motorbike to get around and for getting to the beach . For the money especially when I stayed there in early March which was considered the slow period it is a bargain .

I stay at the hotel 2 weeks from 10. Feb until the 24. Feb. It was a feeling like I am a guest of a family not from a hotel, thanks for the hospitality. The staff was very very friendly, the only one problem was for me, that I had to climb up high on the hillside to my room, but the receptionist guy take me many times up there with the hotels vehicle. The garden and the birds singing was great.

The staff were very friendly and good hospitality. A good place if you would like to stay in villa type residence, but the resort is full of mosquitos because of location and gardens. They try to keep the villas very clean; however, I don't think the guests would be able to get rid of some insects and spiders in bathroom specially. So we checked out the next morning and stayed at a 3 star hotel which was exceptionally clean and tiny; although we lost some money because of 30% deposit payment. Overall, the price for this resort was a bit more than expected.

The reservation was good and quick. Instant reservation and responce would be appreciated. It would be much better if the Star Rating of hotels were displayed on website.

We loved this place and the staff were so friendly and helpfull. We stayed here for 4 nights and it was about 5-10min walk from chaweng centre. We stayed in a buglaow with a view and they are right about having to be fit to reach some parts and the pool. The pool after 100's of steps was peaceful with a great view. Out of the various places we stayed this was one of our favourites and we would definetly stay there again. Kim x

You get what you pay for, which isn't much. The staff are good - especially Noo & Book. The pool is nice but it is a bloody long way up the hill to get there. You will find better for the same money. OP Bungalows at Chaweng are really nice in this price range.

The room i booked was B6 which is up the hillside beside the pool , the rooms were very clean & was cleaned everyday , its best to hire a motor bike to get about the island to see the best of samui .This hotel was a big + & hopeto see you all next year . The accommodation was a bungalow on a side of a mountain/hill which involved a number of steps to climb, so if you aren't that fit you may find it a little challenging, although if you ask reception you can get a ride to the bungalow you are staying at. The bungalow was nice, we had a balcony, kitchen, hot water shower room and double bedroom with cable TV with English channels. Very clean and a fabulous view of Chaweng Lake and the sea. The pool was at the very top of the resort, climbing those steps in the burning sunshine can take it out off of you but I didn't mind at all once I hit the swimming pool the view was amazing and the pool looked as if it blended in with the lake. Not very many sunbeds as there wasn't room for them but it made it more private and it was very quiet. I can not fault the staff, they were very pleasant and very accommodating, we were only booked in for 2 nights and wanted to stay for 2 extra nights, there wasn't any room at the inn so they booked us in at their other hotel The Baan Saen Sook which was 5 mins down the road at a special discount, they also took us there on the day of check out. The one thing I did like was the fact whenever we needed to go anywhere the hotel would take us. I would also recommend the Baan Saen Sook, it's very new and the bungalows are fabulous, although it's a little out of the way and has no pool but again the staff were great!

A little bit far from the beach, and its hard to climb to the pool, its in a hill and seems the EVEREST! Icheck out the after the first night and went to other near the beach, I payed a fine, of 1500 for the cancellation...

Stayed in sea view room B2 during July 2007. Great view. Quiet location. A short steep climb to the beautiful pool area. The rooms are on a hillside which requires walking up a hill. So a degree of physical fitness is required. Room was clean and a good size. maid service everyday. Shower, bathroom, Sat Tv all ok. shuttle service into Chaweng around 5 mins drive or hire a motorbike from the friendly owner and staff. I would definately return here. Paul. England.

clean rooms - very spacious. was disappointed that the room had no hot shower as promised. about 15-20 mins walk from chaweng or use the hotel's free shuttle service. would i recommend this place? it's ok - i ve stayed in far worse and in much better places. i m sure if you shop around you'll find better
