Everything is good in Baan Haad Ngam. Especially the room service and the reception, they are very friendly and circumspectly. My child enjoyed the delicious buffet breakfast very much. and I like the swimming pool view! It will be better if the wifi signal stability going smoother. Hope to stay there again in the next summer holiday.

We stayed for three days. My husband and I LOVED this hotel. Friendly staff, nice pool and cosy room. A little bit far north from the centre of Chaweng, but shuttle bus would solve it. We would definitely choose this hotel again.

Very very nice place. We are quite enjoy the time here, even just 2 days. We love the room and complex. Nice wooden floor and balcony. We really appreciate their service, they provide free wifi in the room,shuttle bus to the shopping area twice a day. Nice Spa area and good price. Even walking to the bra area, just 15 minutes. Will choose this place again.

Beautiful hotel with great service and staff. I loved my stay here. Unfortunately it was raining for 3 out of the 4 days spent there, but the day of sun was magnificent! Lay at the beautiful infinity pool, jumped into the sea straight from hotel, what a great day. The location is quite far up Chaweng beach... I did choose this location because of the fireworks that go off the whole night in the centre part of Chaweng beach, which means you don't sleep. This also means that you do have to take taxi/tuk tuks if you want to go to the main part. But if you re lying at the pool, you don't have to move a muscle. The hotel restaurant is excellent!

We had a great time at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean and the staff were friendly and obliging. The hotel was about 10 mins walk to the town center which was just about right for tranquility when needed.The only downside was there is no sandy beach in front of the resort for Deck Chairs. This would not deter us from returning We would definitely come back for seconds

The Baan Haad Ngam is nicely located away from the flurry of Chaweng Beach but still within easy walking distance. The villas are spacious and comfortable and the staff are wonderful. The food is great at the restaurant. Well worth staying

The hotel is very good with very comfortable rooms and beautiful resturant view and very good breakfast. We enjoyed the stay and the service, the only disadvantage is the distance from main center which should be represnted in the hotel pricing which is relativelly high.

Very nice hotel, quiet location with 5 min taxi to sentrum. Nice hotel and helpfull staff. One problem was that some of the reseption staff did not speak very good english, and then my boyfriend got sick many misunderstanings happend. But still a perfect place to spend the wacation.

Loved it. From the minute we arrived the staff were great and the service was excellent. The resort is beautiful and the rooms of a very high standard. The infinity pool has amazing views, although getting a sun chair was sometimes difficult. Breakfast was excellent. All in all we had a wonderful stay and we feel it was great value for money.

Three of us stayed 4 nights in early July in two adjacent beautiful rooms near the top of this small friendly resort, which sort of cascades down the slope to the beach . A very friendly welcome late at night on arrival, matched by friendly and helpful staff all through our stay. The lovely but small pool is right at the water's edge (but about 2 metres above the beach level). The beach in front of the hotel is covered by the sea at high tide (sand seems to have been washed away) and at low tide it is a fair walk out to the water; further along the beach towards Chaweng town, the beach is a little steeper and easier for swimming. Great breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the beach (easy to eat too much) and lunch there is good too. All the staff were friendly but 30 year old Oh was outstanding... he told us his story, taught us some Thai and was ever helpful with menus, pool gear, directions etc . We did not eat at the hotel restaurant at night (turns into a pricey Italian restaurant) but ate at various places nearby along the beach ( however you may need to deal with quite a few mosquitos if you eat right near the beach) . Our rooms at the top of the hotel were beautifully designed and very clean (yes, a few geckos but they were welcome) . A huge TV but we did not turn it on. There was sometimes an unpleasant smell near some of the free standing villas close to the pool and beach, possibly stagnant water in the decorative ponds. Two of us used the hotel's house massage (easy to book)... more expensive than the various places along the beach but more private and very good. We booked a small car through the hotel to drive around Koh Samui.. slightly more expensive than in Chaweng town but very convenient for booking and pickup/drop off and full insurance included. Taxis to and from Chaweng town should be no more than 150 Baht, but the walk along the beach is a nice alternative. Internet expensive in the hotel, but cheap at a travel agency 30 metres away on the corner of the main road (very persistent suit seller next door). Summary : a boutique hotel, quiet, very friendly, close to the airport (but no flight noise), no public areas other than the restaurant where guests can gather... if you want a larger hotel, more people and a noisier time there are plenty of other options. Yes we would like to come back.

I stayed at the hotel with a friend of mine in early feb. we were overall happy with the location and set up of the hotel, but were a little suprised by the make up of the guests. The hotel was situated on the north end of chewang beach. we liked this b/c it is more removed from the people peddling their goods and other beach traffic. We stayed in the middle tier room (which was described as much bigger than it really was) and i would say other than being closer to the pool was no better than the lowest level room. i would have downgraded for the $100/night difference. as for the pool, it was beautiful and looked right out over the water, but it got quite crowded in the morning (cleared out every afternoon) and there were a TON of children. we didn't expect so many families. it got quite loud at times and kids were running up and down the decks. the food at the hotel was excellent, if you love good itallian, and there were many other good places to eat around it. the hotel also made taxi accomoations easy. they actually had someone on hand to take you anywhere. the people at the hotel were also very helpful and pleasing. overall, i would recommend the hotel. no room will offer a view of the water (unless you are in the top room which i wouldn't recommend b/c it is right on the pool). regardless of the pool being busy, we never were not able to get a chair in the sun or the shade, whatever our preference.

Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Nice, relaxing, detailed landscaping. Room decoration and facilities are high standard and have taste. Hotel amneties high standard (note: no fitness facilities). A disadvantage would be the location, as hotel is situated at the northern tip of the Chaweng Beach, so transport to center should be by vehicles unless you are very athletic. Another minus would be that this hotel, even though located at the beach, does not have any sand beach, maybe the only beach resort in Chaweng without a sand beach.

Great relaxing place - we have been to Samui three times and this was by far the nicest spot - Hotel & staff superb location - very quite - yet only a walk on the beach to get to the nightspots - ofr an inexpensive cab ride away. I hope to return same time next year -for a truly relaxing 12 days. They treated us like movie stars - and we felt great.

A very nice resort. From check in to check out and everything in between my stay was very enjoyable. The staff at this resort are a little shy at first but once you talk a little thai with them (sawat dii khrap is enough, that is not to say they cannot speak English because they can and very well) they soon become very friendly and helpful. They are in the most part very professional and generally a pleasure to have around. The rooms are clean, new, spacious and very well equipped. The restaurant is very good, breakfast is great. Dinner is fine but not enough of a selection of Thai food for me but that's my personal opinion (the restaurant is mainly Italian). The pool is nice - a great place to spend a day doing not much of anything. There are plenty of places to get a good Thai massage on the beach a short walk away. The resort is at the extreme northern end of Chaweng and as such is quite a long way from the centre of Chaweng and the associated dining and bars etc. however, there are some great restaurants a little way along the beach and the hotel has four free shuttles to the centre of Chaweng avery day. The beach is fine but not as nice as the southern end of Chaweng, this would not stop me from going back though. If you want a quiet romantic holiday with every convenience at your fingertips this is the place for you. Recommended.

Very good hotel : nice location (probably the best part of Chaweng beach, quiet and nice beach), very efficient and friendly staff, very good international breakfast. Nevertheless, the swimming pool is a bit small, and it may be problemtic in high season (the number of sun bed is limited as well). Transfert from/to the airport: the hotel requests 250 baths per person and we paid 200 baths (for 4 persons) using a taxi ! In such high standing hotel, transfert from/to the airport should be complimentary (it takes 5 to 10 minutes.)

This is the second time we stayed in the Baad Haad Ngam so it must be good. Everything was excellent, we stayed in a room as we have seen the villas and there is not much difference between the two. Staff are excellent, resort is excellent and well maintained. There would be one reason I wouldn't stay there again and that would be the lack of swimmable ocean in front of the hotel, however the pool is excellent.

The position of this hotel is in the north end of Chaweng. Although it's away from the noisy and busy Chaweng center, 30 min walk only. It did have a very quite and clean beachs that no other hotels on the Chaweng have. The interior design of the room is quite contemporary. The view of the famous Italian restaurant is gorgeous. We ve had a great time enjoying the infinite pool in the hotel. We will definitely come back to this hotel next time when we visit Samui.

We had a very nice time here at this resort. We went during the month of march and was very disappointed at first to see that there wasn't really a typical beach in front of the resort, but more of a large mud flat, and during high tide the water covered the entire beach/mud flat. After being there for about 2 weeks, we decided it was actually one of the best resorts to stay at because you got the best of both worlds, a really great swimming pool, and then a beach just a few steps down. We enjoyed our stay here immensely and would choose this hotel again over the others we saw. The staff was outstanding, most of them spoke english very well, and they always said hello and were friendly. The room/maid service was outstanding, the only problem with the rooms we had were the water didn't have the most pleasant of aromas. Oh well, I suppose its the price you pay. Overall, I would definately recommend this resort to anyone.
