Really bad service from the staff! They looked and seemed angry all the time. Every question from us were a big problem for them. They didnt say hello when we came to the reception. Old rooms with lots of mosquitos outside. The pool is really poor and surrounded with a fence. Not inviting! Do not book this hotel! Book Cabana next to the resort instead.

For the price, the rooms are great. If you re looking for luxury, this isn't the place for you, but it's good value. The breakfast isn't very good, but the staff who work there are friendly. Location is perfect, if you want to be away from the busiest section of Koh Samet, but at the same time in an area that isn't secluded.

Vongduean beach is a nice place to be, but; -Malibu Garden Resort is really not a nice place. Unless someone likes to pay big and live in a mouldy concrete bunker called deluxe . The extremely dirty pool were full of some multicolour liquid, bugs and garbage. The kitchen staff seem to hate their jobs, dont bother ask them anything, -you wont get an answer. I would not reccomend this hotel, choose another one.

Enjoyed the stay, nice facility and location. Took a 4 island tour - great snorkling. Recommend coordinating to take a Malibu Ferry, takes you right to the spot. Otherwise you must take a very bumpy land taxi from the island's main pier, to the resort.

The location of the resort is very good. The rooms are clean, but far below the standard which you can find in Pattaya for the same price. The facilities are old, but still ok compared to other resorts on the island. The pool and the pool area are dirty just useful to shower after a bath in the sea. A shower at the beach is missing and a footbath to clean the feet from sand. Also beach towels are not provided free of charge what is crazy for the room price they charge. The breakfast is also far below the standard, which you can find in Pattaya. Ok, its on an island and competition is quite small, so no need to take care for the customers.

The hotel was really expensive, we had a standard triple room, but we had only cold water. Really weird. We really missed a welcome paper, and when we came in our room, we totally don\ t know anything. Only the canals on the TV, what was hanging in the front of the door. The staff was not that kind, only 2 or 3 people. With breakfast, halve of the staff, wearing sunglasses, so you can't see their eyes. In total, we were not really satisfied with the whole resort, behavings of the staff and our room.

Great location and value. We had visited Samet previously and knew of the hotel. The resort is a quiet collection of small bungalows. It is clean and well maintained.The pool is nice. The chairs right on the beach are very handy. Perfect place to just relax and soak up some sun.

Very poor,dont trust the picteres you see!We stayed in a superior!!????room,with very old and old furniture,the hole room is in a very bad condition!!Thanks to the cleaning staff it was acceptible to use!The staff needs lesson on how treat the quests!!They didnt say not even hello on our arrival,neither goodbay on our departure,words like thank you or wellcome you better forget coz they dont use it never!!In one word TERRIBLE!!!Once more,the only friendly and usefull staff,is the cleaning staff,others should be changed imidiatly!

Well this place look like you re straight out of russia. Concrete bunglows, dirty wallpaper and moldy spots on the walls ann in the ceeling. Booked a bif duobble med and got a twinbed room. New towels and cleaning everyday. Alot of flowers around the area and it was ok looking. Staff were a bit rude in ethe beginning but at the end of our stay they lightend up. It was close to the ice beach. Breakfast...horrible. But some peple seemed to like it. Overpriced rooms compared to what you can get. We survived and had a good time there even though all the things I ve written above.

I did a 14 days trip in Thailand with one night in Malibu Garden. This hotel was the most expensive and also the worse for this 14 days trip. the room was not clean, old and not in good shape, air conditionning from another century, the breakfast is terrible and the staff not nice. My only recommandation is to take another hotel. J ai réalisé un voyage de 14 jours en Thaillande et j ai réservé une seule nuit au Malibu Garden. Cet hotel était le plus cher (jusqu à 5 fois) mais aussi a été le plus moche (et de loin) de toute mes resevations. La chambre était sale en mauvais état, le lit inconfortable, la salle de bain en mauvais état (eau chaude rarement présente) climatisation très bruyante et d un autre age, le petit déjeuner infecte et le personnel pas du tout souriant ni compétent ni serviable... Mes fortes recommandations sont de réserver un autre hotel que celui-ci et de ne plus le proposer à la réservation.

We had a lovely stay at Malibu Garden Resort. Vong Duen Beach is a beautiful beach with a really nice nightlife for us, a family with three children (8-14 years). The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and helpful. The helped us, for example, arranging a boattrip around the beautiful island Koh Samet including very good snorkeling. We had a big familyroom with five beds that was perfect for us. Hot water in shower, air-cond, TV and a big refridgerator included. And the hotel garden is really beautiful (and well keept) with a lot of threes, flowers and butterflies. It´s near the beach and some small shops and a lot of good restaurants. The breakfast was ok. We will absolutely go back here again!!!

DO NOT STAY HERE! I stupidly ignored all the other comments left by other people, I wish I hadn t! In a nutshell the staff are very, very miserable. Unhelpful and generally look cheesed off with it all. I had the deluxe room which was extrememly overpriced at 2600 baht per night. The place is dirty and the breakfast even though it goes on until 10.30, everything had run out at 9.50am and they didn't seem keen to put anymore food out. Try the Silver Sands resort futher up the beach. Great reviews from there.

Kind of disappointment staying in this hotel. Breakfast is not good. Only instant coffee is available. Lot of flies and mosquitos that really bother you all the time. Room is not clean. TV has limited channels. NO hot water provided, unlike what it said hot water available on the internet. When complainting this to hotel staff, they seems that they don't care what you said. No apology or sorry ! Just said yes, no hot water. That's it. No phone nor internet service available from this hotel. Must go to other hotels to make calls or use internet. This was our second stay at this resort, we arrived on the 26th of December so the hotel was almost fully booked. On our first stay we thought the hotel was fair for the price (during July). This time we got a room, where the shower almost didn´t work. The beds were so soft/worn out that you had to place yourself in the middle of them, not to fall off. Also the hotel claimed that there were energy savings so there was no electricity during daytime. The aircon made so much noice even in shut off position, so we had to switch off all power to the room to get silence. Also the breakfast is poor, very poor (Instant coffee, toast, jam, egg and fruit) so after the first meal we decided to take breakfast outside the hotel. We are traveling with a small child, and the hotel does not have a babycot. There is a pool, but it´s not very clean and with the wonderful beach, who uses it? On the positive note, the hotel put alot of energy into the garden around the bungalows, and it looks very nice. I would not reccomend this hotel, it´s not worth the money.

The hotel is a bit old but our room was newly refurbished. We booked the cheapest room and it was ok for the money. Small TV with many channels. The room was clean and towels changed daily. The hotel is on a very nice and for Koh Samet, large beach. Breakfast was very poor with few choises and bad quality. We used the pool but it looked kind of dirty and is small. We took the taxi from the pier, and it was a bad choise, the road to the hotel is almost gone after the rains and the hotel has its own boat that take you to and from Ban Phe, use that one instead of taking the regular ferry. I would recomend the hotel for a short stay but not for a longer stay, the next beach is much nicer and secluded.

I was in Thailand for one month. This hotel was the most expensive hotel I used this time. I had a deluxe room, the room was just ok, noting special at all. The breakfast was not very good. The staff was not service minded at all. I see no smile from anyone at this hotel. The beach was very nice, allot of people in the daytime. In the nighttime there was served allot of good seafood on the same beach. I will not use this hotel again, and I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nice hotel. Lovely beach. Pleasant staff BUT, we bought mini bus tickets to Ko Change from the front desk. Petburapa Tours dropped us off on the side of the road and put us on a 3rd class bus. There were not seats available so we had to sit in baggage! Terrible - terrible - terrible. Would not go back to this hotel due to this experience.
