checked in 16march and room at front 209 very noisy from st and bed have problem with big bugs but not bed bugs some other larger ones yuk so complained and got another room 404 and this room very clean and quiet.also free intern and dvd in room was a bonus. resturant 2 expensive for breaky i think. try elsewhere but i would go back there again. siameservices good as always when i book with them top service thanks

Great place to stay on a budget, good location, short walk to Bangla Rd & the beach, they have a 42 plasma screen TV & computer in the room, the room was cleaned everyday, hired a motorcycle with no hassles, staff are very friendly (especially Pammy at reception), I will definately be back.

For the price, overall a fairly decent place to stay. Clean room includes huge flat screen TV and computer w/internet and printer. Cons - Hotel needs to include an in-room safe. Currently the safe is located near the front desk and not as secure as I would expect by today's standards. Food quality is below average and traffic noise/party crowd pretty much lasts all night and into the morning hours. If you are on a tight budget this is the hotel for you.

If you re going to Patong then this is a great hotel to stay at. It's really close to all the action of Bangla Road and surrounding area but just far enough to get a quiet nights sleep. Also just a short walk to the beach. The staff were really polite and welcoming, what was lacking in the fluency of their english was made up for by their friendliness and charm! The hotel was really nice, the room was clean and comfortable with a spacious bathroom and a nice balcony. Free internet in the room (slow but handy to have). Having the restaurant open downstairs all day and most of the night was really convenient, the food was always great and reasonably priced for this area.

Booking process was prompt and very straight forward. Found pre-payment for accomodation suited us better, nice to know it's all taken care of before the trip.

It was super peak season and the rate charged was double normal room rate. Very much on the high side and the american breakfast was very expensive compare to what neigbouring hotels are charging for the same thing. Quite clean and convenient for shopping.

Great value in this hotel! Room came with PC, big flat screen TV. For the price you cannot beat all the extras. Staff were friendly. My only complaint is the aircon which blew directly onto the bed. There needs to be a way to adjust the airflow away from the bed. I will return to this hotel.

Stayed here many many times. Clean, good price, good room. But now short on basic maintenance like the electrics for the hot water which led me to tape the circuit breaker switch to on so I could have a shower longer than 30 seconds. All the usual good service and friendly massage girls who do a great professional job. Would I stay here again? Yeah for sure.

Pretty basic hotel near all the atractions of Banglaroads mindblowing nightlife. Or if you prefer beach also, it's about 1,5 km from hotel (Banglaroad 0,5). Room was ok. Restaurant is very flexible since they make food 24/7. Shopping places are also near so you won't need services from always irritating tuk-tuk drivers. Good place for anyone wanting to explore Patong beach

MOST OT THE SATFF WERE POLITE, AND THE ROOMS WERE OK - EXCEPT MY SONS WHOSE TV AND HOT WATER DID NOT WORK FOR THE WHOLE STAY. THE HOTEL IS NOT SO FAR FROM BANGLA ROAD - ONLY ABOUT A 3 MINUTE WALK AND CLOSE TO JUNGCEYLON ALSO. THE AIRCON AND HOT WATER WORKED WELL IN MY ROOM AT LEAST, AND THE HOTEL IS GUEST FRIENDLY. THE ONLY PROBLEM IHAD WAS WITH THE LITTLE THAI MANAGER. REMEMBER I BOOKED 2 ROOMS FOR 13 NIGHTS 1 FOR ME AND ONE FOR MY SON AND WHEN I CAME TO CHECKING OUT HE GOT VERY ANGRY WITH ME BECAUSE I HAD REPLACED 2 OF THE HOTELS CONDOMS WITH 2 FROM AUSTRALIA. THIS GUY OBVIOUSLY NEEDS TO GO TO A ANGER MANAGEMENT COURSE OR SPEND A FEW HOURS IN CHISTINES!!! WHEN HE STARTED ON ME I PROMPTLY REMINED HIM THAT MY SON HAD COMPLAINED ABOUT NO HOT WATER AND THAT HIS TV DIDN'T WORK. HE WAS SUPPOSED TO GET IT FIXED.. HE HAD NO ASNWER FOR ME. BECUASE OF THIS RUDE INDIVIDUAL WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THE LAMAI HOTEL. I ONLY WISH I HAD THE OWNERS PHONE NUMBER AND I WOULD CALL THEM AND COMPLAIN.. APART FROM THIS MANS NON EXISTENT MANAGEMENT SKILLS AND HIS FOUL TEMPER THE REST OF THE STAFF MADE OUR STAY OK. I WOULD RECOMMEND.

I used to love the Lamai hotel and have stayed there 6 times before, Now if you stay there the excellent lady receptionist has gone and new staff dont smile,breakfast now not in the price, and worst of all the next door building site gives its youngest member of staff a big hammer every morning,which he loves to use about 7.30 am. The rooms though are still very nice and clean.

Hotel was clean and ok. A bit noisy from the street. We were surprised by the most unfriendly personal we have experienced in our entire trip. Additionally the transports offered by the hotel were far too expensive. Just go a few steps down the road in any tourist office for better offers. No safety boxes in the rooms but at the reception. I can't really recommend this place.

spent 4 weeks at this hotel,staff very helpful, rooms big and clean,advertise Wi-Fi internet every room,however not able on top floor, but free internet in lobby. Resturant big let down,slow service and not getting what you order. in general,a good hotel,good location,good rates,and if you book a room,go for 500 or 501,only 2 rooms on top floor,get the whole roof terrace as well as balcony..I will definitely use again

i stayed at this hotel for a month all over the christmas and have to say that i had a great time, the hotel was spotless and room cleaned and changed everyday and the staff were very friendly.the hotel was 2mins walk from bangla road the main nightlife, and 5 mins from the beach,i will definatly be going back again soon as poss.this was my 6th visit to patong and the best hotel value for money so far. i will be back .

Atractive and very pleasant hotel, room comfortable and clean. I would have prefered a safe in the room rather than a safety deposit box at reception just for conveniance.Staff were friendly.Hotel was also in good location close to eating places, bars and walking distance to Bangla rd and beach.

Very nice room and friendly staff as in the past. Rates have been increased a bit since first time I stayed there, especially for low season, but it did include breakfast- which was quite good. Walk to Bangla road is very manageable. I am happy with this hotel and will return.

Very good value during low season. Good rooms, well stocked mini bar, and central location. Staff were excellent and friendly even late into the evening. Bonus of relaxing shoulder massage after a long day on the beach. Good breakfast too, which is a rarity in my experience.

I stayed at Lamai Hotel 4 weeks in November 2007 and 3 weeks in April 2008, I really like this hotel. Nice and clean room, very friendly staff and a small restaurant serving breakfast and other meals. All to a low cost.Lamai is close to beach and Bangla road, where everything happens. So I will sure stay at Lamai again. And I really can recommend it.

I really liked this hotel. It's location is ideal - 5 min walk to Bangla Rd, 10 min walk to beach. Rooms were of a high standard really. Lift to all levels. Good cable tv channels. Good mini bar. There is a massage place adjacent to reception. The hotel's restaurant is a good place to sit and have a beer and watch the world go by. They have brand new scooters (fast ones) for hire (300 B/day). Staff are always pleasant. I will definitely be staying here again.

Pretty good value for money. It was a little inconvenient when we turned up at the Lamai Hotel, because we were actually booked in at their sister property the Lamai INN , even though our paperwork didn't say that. However, they were quite close to each other and the young men helped us carry all our luggage to our rooms at the Inn. Could be pretty noisy of a night time though - street traffic and noisey neighbours. Not the best we stayed at whilst at Patong, but we would stay there again if our fav. hotel was booked out.

Lamai, is an excellent value for money hotel. Staff are really cool. Bed was a bit lumpy, but otherwise very enjoyable. Only thing i would do next time is request a room that is not facing the front road, as it was very noisy. Maybe songkran had something to do with that!

First feeling was that the map on the SiameServices was really not to scale . Hotel was not SO near Bangla road as I understood, but it was not too far. Walking distance anyway. Hotel room was clean and well equipped. Food in the restarurant in the lobby was really good. The only thing that disturbed me was that the breakfast was not included in the price, but I had to pay for it every morning (150 THB, not bad). Hotel staff was really nice. They helped me to arrange trips around the island and even helped me to arrange my trip onwards from Phuket. In my opinion service was 9.5 on the scale 4-10. Finally, I d say that this hotel is really worth of money!

It's a pretty crappy little place. But it's clean and more or less comfortable with air conditioning etc. I think the thing that really bothered me was that the mattress was horrible. If you can't have a decent night's sleep because of a mattress, you re paying too much. You re better off paying a bit more for a place that is so much more comfortable.
