My stay at kata pooside was just perfect - so perfect that I stay all my holiday until 18.10.11. The hotel was perfect in all ways.Room large and comfortable - a lot a space, good wiev, my last week I upgrated to room with beutifull wiev. The poolaria was wonderfull, breakfast just fine. The hotel staff was smiling, helpfull in any way - and delivered very good service - dayly cleaning off the room very high standard. The location off the hotel perfect - good destination to go further experience phuket, short way on motobike to see the most beutifull places off phuket (wievpoint, prompeb cave, rawai beach, panwa cave and the big budda). Also hotel very close to kata beach (5 min. walking). Kata beach maybe the best beach in phuket. For sure I will stay at kata poolside resort next time I visit phuket. Thanks to all staff in the resort for very good service.

Clean and good-sized rooms. The extra bed for our child was too hard though. The regular bed was large and quite sufficient for us, although we had a 4-year old sleeping with us. Nice pool-area. The hotel did not change the sheets after three days. At that point housekeeping was called and they were only going to change the bottom sheet. Toilet paper in the room ran out on two occasions and toiletries such as soap and shampoo were never replaced. Housekeeping left the door to the room standing open as we arrived back to the room from the day. The last night of our stay we ate at the restaurant and food poisoning resulted. I would not recommend this hotel or restaurant for that matter to anyone. I was a bad experience and the staff was not friendly or helpful when confronted.

Находится в тихом районе рядом с мэрией острова, 150м до пляжа. Всегда убирали, кормили, все показывали-рассказывали. Чаевые мы давали буквально пару раз, работают люди не за это. Об отеле отзывы очень хорошие! Отдельное спасибо Антону из Asiahotels.ru, что наша поездка состоялась!!! Мы провели 3 недели на берегу океана на другом конце планеты!!! И все это за небольшие деньги!!

Most impressed with deco, rooms facilities, great values for location and price, pool, and the great reception staffs and tour agency. Beach is just a 4-6min walk, great amenities around and a superb buffet breakfast! Would recommend to anyone who prefers a quieter mode than the bustle of Patong!

Resort lived up to expectation.Was given one of only 12 poolview rooms which had a great balcony to sit out on overlooking the pool.The Hotel service was good and could not fault the receptionor cleaning staff. Had meals at the Prawn and Lobster restuarant which is where breakfast is served for the hotel. Found the food and service was great.Did not need to eat anywhere else for breakfast and tea. All in all a great location to stay with value for money.

Overall a pleasant holiday. The rooms were clean and spacious, and service was acceptable. However, I have one grouse, is the deck chairs around the pool. As the pool area is small and deck chairs are limited, guests tend to hog their deckchairs by leaving their towels, books, clothes etc, which is fine if they were going out for a quick bite and coming back within half hour. My friends and I were deprived of the deck chairs even though there were many vacant ones (but with the towels, clothes, books left behind as a kind of booking system ). We settled for a space on the floor, and the owners of the previously booked deckchairs only came back about 2-3 hours later. I think this is grossly unfair, and the hotel should limit the time the guest can book a deckchair this way.

We spent 21 days in Thailand and this hotel was the only disappointment during our trip. We arrived one day earlier, and had a fast and easy check-in. The staff was nice, helpful, and friendly. The hotel is conveniently located 3 min away from the beach, on the street full of shops, restaurants, ATMs, and taxis. The room is rather big, clean and nice. However, once you get into your room, you see several print-outs on the table, saying how much you can be charged for damaging any of the hotel property. The list includes towels, sheets, glasses – everything, including the big mattress and lamps! Thus, you need to make sure that you don’t forget your glasses at the pool or break them – you will be charged 30 bahts and if you spot a towel or a sheet, here, you pay 100 bahts (there is a special warning about “the tattoo charge” on the bathroom door). There is a tea/coffee making facility in the room, but house keeping never replenished our coffee after our first day use, so we used it only once. The hotel is called Poolside Resort, but only 12 rooms have a pool view (6 per block), and the rest have to enjoy a breathtaking view of the roof or the kitchen of another hotel. The hotel lacks simple amenities such as a press-iron, so we had to pay ten bahts per item outside the hotel. There was no bathroom at the pool area (the nearest toilet is in your room). The shower had no pressure, so you never felt clean. You have to sign in and out to get a pool towel, too (which you can do only at the reception area). They sale wireless internet cards to use, but we could not get ours to function due to there limited IP addresses and when you buy it the reciept specifically says “no refunds”. We ended up buying a cyberpoint card and used another hotels wireless network. The restaurant is not bad and very popular, however, the breakfast menu is unexciting and non-variable. There is no night entertainment in the hotel, not even a bar. The poolside bar is open from 12 – 18.00 and has nothing there. You order it and the attendant goes to the resturant and picks it up. About a 10 minute round trip. Upon checkout, we were presented with a bill for snacks and drinks from the minibar that we never touched!!! We tried to explain that they must have us confused with another room, but they kept shaking their handwritten register in front of us, showing that we had all the drinks and snacks on the same day, when we were not even in town! The funniest thing is that the prices of the minibar items that were printed on the bill, were manually crossed and corrected for more expensive prices! They were scandaling with us, so, of course, we ended up paying for the items we never consumed. The hotel is so concerned not to incur any tourism related expenses that they totally forgot about customer satisfaction! In no way, I would recommend this hotel to any traveler, and definitely, I will never come back!

We were very disapointed with this hotel. The most expensive and worst we have stayed in in Thailand! First room shown to was full of mosquitos and had a tiny, dark balcony which was only a few feet from a concrete wall! Hotel said they had no other rooms but miraculously found a better one after I rang SiameServices!! (upper floor with slightly better view from balcony) Pool was ok but only a few tatty plasic sun beds ...not enough for size of hotel and the only place in Thailand where the beds are covered in people's towels by 8.30am (due to lack of them?) Location good if you want to be in centre ...near bars and short walk to beach. Would not stay there again.

The room were very good. But I can´t understand that the hotel give a guest in one month a room there you looked in a wall. We could change after 3 days and liked the vjue over the pool and could see the sky.The staff were not professional. The breakfaststaff were only intresting of your kupong . Every day you must ask for bacon, croissant, bananas, tomatos. We have lived about 3 weeks we have a letter in the room Urgantse . We have take bear from the minibar for 780 baht and must pay immediately. We have paid the room for 4 weeks before we arrived and we have 1 weeks more at the hotel and have this letter. I have never experience something like this. I have lived over the whole world and never meet so bad service. I can´t recommended this hotel. Only if you want to stay 1-2 days.

Even though its kinda located on the main road, its still very quiet in the rooms. However, I would not recomment staying on the first floor. We were given a room on the first floor in the beginning and it was real dark. But a couple of days later staff gave us a new room on the second floor and it was much better. Definitely recomment staying in this hotel.

During the past three years I have visited Phuket eight times, and after trying two other hotels I stayed at the Kata Poolside six times, so obviously I like it. The Poolside offers a combination of nice immaculate rooms, a large pool, a two-block walk to the beach, plenty of shops nearby, and moderate room rates. Also, the bathrooms are very nice, with separate bathtub and stall shower. Request a pool view. Minor criticisms: There could be more storage space. A double bed consists of two single mattresses placed together. The included buffet breakfast is just okay, with unimaginative American and Thai food. The other places I stayed at were the Orchidacia, which I did not like, and the Kata Delight, which is intimate and nice if you get a Deluxe room, but more expensive than the Poolside.

The place of the hotels i great if your want to be near the beach and near many tourist. Kata is a little dirty and their is often a dirty smell in the streets. I dont think we would choose Kata poolside hotel again. First we got at ground floor room witch was very dark because we were looking right into at big wall and there was a smell of sewer. The second day we were moved up to the 3. floor after we complainted, it was much nicer. But stil we couldn´t use our balkon because their was a kitchen smell from the opposite hotel,. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was just ok.

Lovely hotel with beautiful rooms. Nice quiet area, 5 minutes walk from the beach. Beds are a bit hard but the rooms were huge and well kept. Breakfast was enjoyable with fresh omelets being cooked to your order. Restaurant is also very nice for an evening meal which is discounted the first time you eat there. Kata beach is stunning, an up and coming area so night life is quiet. Hotel staff very helpful with tours and offer and towel service for the beach and pool. Would stay again!

We had a great room for the price... it overlooked the swimming pool. Unfortunately, when we arrived they closed down the pool for several weeks, so we couldn't really benefit from their beautiful pool... as it was our honeymoon, after a talk with the manager, we were offered free lunch and a basket of fruit. Located right next to a nice beach, but there isn't much to do in the area besides the beach. A few nightclubs up the road, a 15 minute walk... but during the low season there was no one except us and a couple of other wandering tourists. I would stay for only a couple of days and then move on.

If you are going to this hotel we would recommend room number 1112 this had direct access to the pool form your balcony. we liked this hotel so much we stayed for an extra 7days. price is very good for what you get.

The rooms look the same with the photos in the website (quite beautiful). The bathroom is also tidy. However, there was some strange smell on the bed, pillows & cushions (the smell like wet and not clean enough)!! Every morning I had to take shower again because my body was smelly. Alought our rooms were on the 2nd floor, but the balcony was only one view - a concrete wall with a tree (I believe it is better than the G/F). The staffs are OK friendy but the buffet breakfast are limited types to choose. I suggest the similar budget that you have more hotels to choose at the nearby.

We had booked and paid for the best rooms at the hotel. When we arrived we got 2 rooms, both of them without any view or sunlight at all. According to what we could see, these rooms were the lowest category. The reception told us that they always give the best rooms to guests who stay at the hotel for a longer period. This was not acceptable for us, because we had booked and payed for better rooms. After one day with complains from us, they gave us one room which lived up to our expectations. The rest of the family had to stay in a room which we could never recommend to anyone. Besides from the experience with the rooms, the hotel was a really nice and central place to stay. The restaurant was a nice place, where we always enjoyed to eat at. We had almost all our meals here during our stay in Kata Beach.

Perfect and fast service during booking. But we found it difficult to get help when we had a problem with the hotel rooms.

Friendly staff, free breakfast and large room. Location is very convenient to beach and restaurants. The main drawback is the very long steep climb from the main street up to the hotel, particularly rough on a hot afternoon after a lot of walking. Minor annoyances were dim light in bathroom and no remotes for TV or A/C.

Clean and spacious room at the third floor with a balcony. Well furnished, but the bed was hard. A small, but clean, good bathroom with shower and bathtub. Friendly and professional staff. The restaurant is very popular and reservation is recommended in the evening. The hotel is located by the beachroad with only a couple of minuts walk down to the south end of Kata beach. The sea is clear and the beach is nice, but very, very crowded.

A small hotel not far from the beach in Kata. We just stayed for two nights but everything was ok. Good breakfast and big rooms with absolutely no view. Outside our balcony it was a two-three metres concretewall. The pool was nice but they didn´t have that many sunchairs. The hotels restaurant served really good food. Their pizza was the best we had in Thailand. The hotels staff was really good.

Our room was the most corner end of the hotel, but our stay was still a pleasant one. Excellent beautiful, clean room (wished we could stay there longer though). Great and friendly staffs helping us around when needed. Breakfast okay. Accessible to the beach within 3 mins and other amenities like 7-Eleven and other eateries. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a quiet, relaxing stay in the beautiful Kata Beach.

The rooms are spacious and quite nice and the hotel location very good. It is only a short walk to the beach and lots of nice restaurants near by. However, we do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. We had lots of trouble during our short stay in the hotel: 1) The safe in the room was not operational at check-in and we had to stay in the room for a couple of hours next morning while it was being fixed. 2) We had to contact the reception several times to get a baby cot (requested already at reservation) delivered to our room and to get sheets for it. 3) One night, we came back from dinner and found a maid in our room checking stuff . Subsequent to this visit, we noticed that a small silk purse had gone missing. We are 100 % sure someone took it from our room while we were at dinner...

This was our first hotel in Thailand. I was a little skeptical as we drove up in the rain, late at night. It's set far back from the street and the grounds are a little strange. I didn't like that the standing water ponds around the resort were green, but the room was very nice and clean. There was a mini-fridge in the room and they provide you with a couple bottles of water, at least the first day. A fair sized American/Thai breakfast buffet is offered in their streetside restaurant. The staff was nice. The location is close to the beach (walking distance) and close to lots of massage salons where you can get an extremely reasonably priced massage (the least expensive we found in Phuket). I believe we stayed in the basic queen size room. The shower was a small stall shower, but they also had a bath tub, I believe.

Room is big, pretty clean except the balcony of our room faces a wall. Expect mosquitoes in the room and dining area. Staff had difficulty understanding english and reception was not very warm to chinese asian. There was a distinct favourtism towards the Europeans. Overall a very good stay, friendly staff, nice big rooms etc. Wifi internet in room was the reason i chose this hotel. However 2 of 5 evenings internet was down and the business center personel only work daytime so troubleshooting didnt start until next morning. Cost for wifi was 1000 Baht for seven days which is too expensive compared to other hotels. Speed of wifi was very good though (when it worked). A small minus for not providing Star Sports channel.

Very nice hotel with big rooms too a low cost. It was clean and tidy everywhere. The staff was very kind and helpful in every way. The hotel is situated close to both the beach and to stores and restaurants. The hotelrestaurant had a good breakfast and lots to choose from for lunch and dinner. I absolutely recommend this hotel and will return if possible.

Kata Poolside impresses for its excellent value for money in low season, its super friendly staff and the quality of the rooms. Variety and quality of the breakfast buffet was appreciated. Location is also a plus - there are good shopping, money exchange and restaurants in this area of southern Kata, the beach is three minutes walk away and the southern end of the beach is the nicest part in my opinion. There are some good buget restaurants with scenic outlooks beachside at the beginning of the southern headland, plus a laid-back bar for a lazy afternoon drink or five.

The hotel was not as good as i expected and read from the previous reviews from others, in fact it is not quite well maintain on their outside areas such as lobby (the pond water was very dirty). Besides, I hate to say that i was not greeted well by the front desk assistant, they do not greet me with smile, and asking whether i am aware that my check out time is tomorrow 12 pm (this has made me felt offended as the way she asked was rude) Besides, the hotel was barely and hardly could be seen from outside as it is hidden and only if u walk down the path. ONE GREAT THING I HATE ABOUT THE HOTEL IS THEIR BREAKFAST HERE IS VERY TERRIBLE, if you are going to stay in this hotel and eat its breakfast, please take note you will be welcome to eat your breakfast with a whole lot bunch of flies!!!~!!!! And the breakfast area is hot, dark and stuffy as well! really bad~! During my stay i even saw and heard there's a guest had misplace his breakfast coupon, and the hotel staff react really badly and scolded the guest saying if no coupon no breakfast for him, i think this is really over reacting already as if he misplace the coupon and hotel is still able to find out whether he is a geniune guest by just checking his details and there is no need for them to treat their guest in such a manner! Moreover, the Kata beach is also not as nice and clean as patong beach, though it is very much more quiet and you would not have much to do here. One thing only good about this hotel is that they have really nice and comfortable room here. So, do stay this hotel if you tend to only stay in the room the whole day.

Would not chose this hotel again...Pool is nice and rooms big but the ones at ground floor facing a concrete wall is not really that nice. Lots of mosquitos....had to sparay the rooms three times a day. Cleaning ok. trouble with breakfast cupons almost every day....and the breakfast was not that nice. used the roomservice a couple of times and had the worst fish and chips in history...maybe it was made from fish from the lobby pond.... when checking out they charged me for a missing glass....that I knew was in the room. And they charged my brother twice for a phonecall, and with the english knowledge of the staff there was nothing else to do but pay.... Stay somewhere else...

Kata Poolside was a great small resort tucked behind the main street of Kata Beach. The room was large, very clean and the bathroom had both a tub and shower with lots of hot water. Our room overlooked the free form pool which had plenty of space for sunbathing on the deck. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Tours could be booked on-site with a discount. The buffet breakfasts at the Lobster Prawn restaurant were filling with plenty of fresh fruit available and with friendly staff. The 10% dinner discount for guests was a great value at this popular seafood eatery. This resort is a wonderful place for families and seniors like ourselves.

The nicest place we stayed during our 3 weeks in thailand. the rooms were spotless and very nice, especially the bathrooms. we had a poolside balcony with private access to the pool. i recommend it to anybody. we liked it so much that we wanted to stay longer, but they were booked so we had to move. the location is great and only a few minute walk to the beach. it is also close to many shops and restuarants. you are walking distance to everything so you won't even need to take a taxi.

We stayed at this hotel two times, the first time was eccellent, service, room (third floor) we booked with 1x1.com, and also the breakfast was very good, also the price was lower. The second time we had maby the worst room in the hotel (2112) (dark and wet, bad smell)we payed more and the service had not the same quality at the first time. It's a shame because it was a very good hotel to raccomand.
