Breakfast staff generally unwelcoming and unfriendly. Appeared lazy and dismissive of guests compared to other hotels that we ve stayed in. Good variety of food but could have been hotter in temperature. Back of hotel had bars that were loud at night time. Front of hotel would have been loud too as Hard Rock just down the road and had live bands playing. Overall good value for money. Good location - 5 minute walk to the beach, 15 minute walk to Jungcelon, next door to Otop markets.

This was our seventh trip to phuket and each time we have stayed at a different resort. Baumanburi is located in a good location with walking distance to the beach, Junceloyne the shopping centre & the night life on Bangla Rd. Breakfast was quite average and the same every morning. We stayed in the pool access room. Room size was spacious with a daybed looking out to the pool. Room quality was standard but very clean making it very good value for money. Was nice to jump straight into the pool from our balcony.Pool area is nice with great body spas where u can lie. We travelled with children and their kids pool was great kids loved it. My only compliant was around the pool edges were made from gravel and they were very very sharp not safe for children at all, we also have cut ourselves a cupple of times. The resorts pool lacks sun because of the level of the buildings. Staff were prompt with our request and friendly. Overall I rate this resort 3stars good value for money and recommend the pool access room if your looking for nice and budget accommodation.

We are a family of 7 adults and 3 children that stayed at this Hotel in August 2011 and have just returned from a 10 night stay. I managed to pick up a good price for 10 nights through Thailandhotelsdeal.com, who managed the booking professionally. We had Poll access rooms an Grand Deluxe adjoining rooms, all of which were clean and spacious. We arranged all transfers through thailandhotelsdeal.com also at a good price. The Hotels pool is nice and stretchers around the complex with enough sun loungers. The water was cool as it doesn't received a lot of sun but warms up by the afternoon. There is a ring of grime at the top of pool where the water stops which would stick to your skin or bathers if you weren't careful. A good swim up bar with good prices and a 2 hour happy hour each day. There was plenty to choose from at the buffet breakfast but most of the food was just warm or cold and no bacon etc, The breakfast staff were slack and and never smiled much, we often sat at a table that wasn't laid properly, as in no knife or fork, salt or pepper shakers etc, not a big deal, but again annoying and you had to ask for everything or get it yourself. We all had to go to the restaurant next door every few days for a good old Aussie breakfast. The room doors opened via a key, and the key ring had been welded so the key can't be removed which meat you couldn't leave the air con on so the room would be cool on your return and management wouldn't issue you with an extra key even though we had three adults in our room, we were advise just to drop the key off at the front desk when we left the Hotel. Other than these two inconveniences our stay at this Hotel was pleasant and we all agreed that we would return again if the price was right. This Hotel seems to cater for group bookings and there are always groups of people around the front desk area in the mornings and afternoons, which could be a problem at times. This Hotel is not the Holiday Inn but overall a nice Hotel for the Price we paid.

This Hotel has possibly the most rude Reception/Front desk staff I have ever encountered. Across from the Hotel is the Hard Rock Cafe, it has an outside Rcok Band playing every nite, so the noise in your room is very loud, you cant sleep. The Hotel charges 500Bth for a guest. They charge horrible rates to use the telephone. There are many better Hotels in Patong Beach than this. The Reception staff need more training and to realise that the Farang guest PAY their wage each month.

We had a pool access room for our final 2 nights in Thailand after 2 weeks, which was fantastic & better than expected given some of the previous reviews. Reception staff were great to deal with & very efficient. They stored our bags for us with a minimum of fuss, as we had a flight out 9 hrs after check out, which was very helpful + taxi service to airport which was considerably cheaper than anything else on offer. Breakfast was fantastic although no bacon on offer, which us westerners like. Choice of foods excellent. The one thing that spoiled our stay, was that on the last morning, we went for breakfast with our bags left open & we had a few things stolen from our room, with all doors locked! The only time our bags were ever left unlocked, as we were in the middle of packing. The financial value was negligible, but the theft left a foul taste for the Baumanburi Resort, very sad indeed, as otherwise, it is a perfect place to stay. A little noise from the Hard Rock Cafe, but not bad enough to think about where we were located. The resort is a healthy walk from Bangla Rd, which we normally stay closer to, but right near the O-Top markets which are great. A fantastic pool & the only pool in Thailand that we have stayed, that is actually cool! Apart from the theft of a few items, I would highly recommend the Baumanburi.

Rooms are big and nice, but need to be checked thoroughly first. My right bed lamp did not light, and there was no electric bulb in the floor lamp.The basin tap and the shower were blocked to some extent so that the water could not run smoothly. I had to take out the basin tap filter and clean it myself. The glass curtains in the shower rooms came off while I tried to close them. The exhaust fan did not work. I requested to change my room. I was first rejected, but at last the reception changed the room for me after some short of arguement.

This hotel was rundown and dirty. The hotel had overbooked so when we arrived we were not given the room that we had requested. The room we got was terrible. It had a broken toilet and was very dark and dingy. The worst thing about this hotel was the noise. Every morning we were woken up multiple times by a telephone located in the corridor outside our room which was used to contact housekeeping staff. The hotel staff looked unhappy to be working there (rarely smiled) and often ignored guests who were waiting for bar and restaurant service. If we had not pre-paid for 3 nights accommodation we would have left and stayed somewhere else. Definitely not recommended and we would not choose to stay there again.

The hotel was good and in a good location with a nice pool. But the breakfast was a little disappointing. It was unorganized and some of the staff were not very helpful. Plates were left to pile up and tables were not set after customers left. Rooms were fine and cleaned regularly, but there a few things in the room that needed fixing. Would I stay there again? Only if I couldn't find something better.

I travel to Thailand every year and have stayed in Phuket half a dozen times and I am always happy with the people. I must say though this time was different for me and my wife. Most of the employees of the hotel were indifferent and as far as ignorant all around the premises of the hotel. I am going back next year but not staying in Baumanburi Resort. Thanks

The hotel is a bit over priced concidering the ambiont, location and facilities. Service is medium good. Bar with entertainment doesn't exist and the food outlet is not much to shout about. I stayed with a group of 10 people under Phuket Bike Week Riders and we shifted to Baumanburi due to the fact that the hotel we use to sty at (for the last 4 years) is presently under renovation. That hotel is much better value for maoney which was the opinion of all others in my group.

The lowest price that the hotel offers is the room in the old building. No bath tub, facing the road. Do not imagine from the pictures that you see on the web since it's not the room type that you gonna get. The service is not that good. If you decide to have a breakfast there, please go early. If you go like 10am (breakfast offers till 10:30am) all waiters/waitress are looking forward to cleaning the buffet line, i.e. no service at all even coffee or tea. However, with the price of 1,000 baht/room/night. It's a good deal on Patong. You get what you pay

The resort was really nice - pool and restaurant were great. The room we stayed in must have been in an old section of the hotel as it was pretty basic compared to the overall standard of the hotel - however it offered good value for money and I would stay at the resort again. The position of the resort in Patong was really handy to everything and was relatively quiet away from the throng of it all.

The location of the hotel was fantastic. Right in the middle and very near the Otop bars and 5 mins walk to the beach thru a side lane. The hotel pool was also great. The only setback I had was that my room was not properly clean every morning. The floor was not swept and the used cups were at time not wash. Other than that it was a good deal to secure booking at this hotel. I'll be back again.

I like this hotel. It is located near to the town center and beach (5 mins walking) yet not too noisy. The room is big and quite clean. No bathtub for superior room. I like the layout of the pool area. It is big, clean with 5 types of Jacuzzis. The only disappointment I face is the breakfast. Breakfast provided but foods are 90% same through out my stay which is not good to consider staying long.

hotel was beautiful, room was wonderful. we had the delux room. all rooms have a balcony with a beautiful view. we enjoyed our stay here and would recomend it to anyone. only downside was checking in. first they did nt had our voucher and one of the clerk had an attitude and told us we had to go find internet service somewhere to print out our voucher. unbelieveable right!!! i had to gave the supervisor a piece of my mind, and he allowed me to used the hotel internet service to print out the voucher they should have had in the first place. this is a common thing at the hotel, so please take your voucher with you if you can.

The best part of this hotel was its beautiful pool. There is something for ALL ages at this hotel. It's location is decent in relation to restaurants, the main strip (Soi Bang la) and the beach. The rooms were okay. At first we were put in a room that reaked of cigarettes but we had no problems switching to a non-smoking room. The breakfast buffet was delicious but make sure you get there early enough because once something runs out, they don't make more. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room (deluxe) was good. But we don´t like the pool area. It was a little bit dark because the sun couldn´t reach it because the hotelbuilding around it is to high. The reception staff was not frendly and give no service at all. We wanted help to book a table in a restaurang and they didnt help us at all. We ask them to give us a wakeup call in the morning and they didnt. All other service in the hotel was good. Breakfast very good with a lot of choise. If we going back to Patong again we will stay att Duangjitt Resort or Amari Coral instead both hotel is exellent in all ways.

Not going back here again... that's for sure. The hotel is currently adding a new wing (the final step before they surround the pool), and so staying here is like living in a construction site. The noise, which is deafening at the best of times, goes from 7am to 7pm and lounging by the pool is virtually impossible with a 100 Thai builders eyeing you all the time. On a more positive note, the hotel is well located, the rooms are clean and the buffet is good. Wait a year and come back when they clean up… and maybe manage to hire some front desk staff who know how to smile.

I would highly recomend this resort the accomadation is clean and comfortable, the staff are excellent and friendly. It is located right next to the markets for easy cheap shopping without the hassle of having to travel. Only 5min walk to the beach. The pool is great, it is very large and has a nice pool bar to get that cold drink whilst staying cool.

Accommodation and facilities:
i stayed in a twin room overlooking the pool, which was lovely, room was great, comfortable, pool was lovely. There was work going on on the building next door but patong beach is a pretty busy place so will be noisy anywhere you stay i reckon. Most of the staff were not very friendly, however one staff member was extremely friendly and helpful, when the fuse blew in our room, someone was sent up right away. good value for money.

Accommodation and facilities:
The reception staff were very friendly and had no problem with holding our bags for us after we checked out. The pool is beautiful and the buffet breakfast is fantastic - everything you could ever want for breakfast! We were in a standard room which was nice but they gave us two single beds instead of a double. Great location - close to market and beach.

Reservation service:
Very easy although I wasn't aware we had to pay the full amount before we arrived. It was lucky I happened to check my email on the day the full amount was due.
