Accommodation and facilities:
Bangtao village is a very nice and cozy hotell. Very nice staff, very quiet but not far to walk to market and restaurants. The beach is about three or four minutes walk and it is a perfect beach. We are now in Bang Niang in Khao lak and this beach is not as nice as Bang tao beach.

Ok standard but the room didn't feel really fresh. We only had a quick over night stay here so I cannot really say more. The guy in the reception tried to rip us off when arranging the transfer to the airport so watch yourselves.

Wir haben uns in der Anlage sehr wohl gefühlt da das Personal superfreund-lich ist und eine persönliche Atmos-phäre herrscht. Wenn die Holzelemente etwas besser gepflegt würden, wären sie sicherlich in besserem Zustand. Der Preis ist für den Zustand der Räume sicherlich etwas hoch, ist aber offensichtlich am Bangtao Beach gegenüber anderen Bereichen so üblich. Am Strand kann man noch ruhigere Bereiche finden, in denen nicht Liege an Liege plaziert ist. Hat uns alles in allem gut gefallen.

Contra: this resort needs renovation. Very strange, our room smelled to sheep. Receptionist's explanation was, it's the wood...I m not sure about it. The only solution was to turn on the ac. The bungalows are built so close, you think you can't breath, but for 1-2 nights is ok. Pro: It is not far away from the airport (about 40min)

This muslim resort without drinks or massage or english talken is rotten but has a lot of animals i the rooms. Only two rooms were rented in high season, i wonder why? We booked and payd for 7 nights but went back to the perfect Kata Lucky Villa after 3. Absolutely not again!!! Can´t recommend this to anyone, even if you get it for free.

Nice Hotel, nice Staff and nice Pool. The only negative was a bit of Mold in the ceiling of the Room, besides thet, the room was very nice, clean and gave good value for money. If you want to sleep in the mornings, ask for a room a bit away from the Pool, a family with a bunch of small children started swimming and screaming at 7 in the morning.... Nice breakfast, good location, close to the Beach and a big fridge!

The hotel is a budget one, rooms are not very big, but everything is nice and clean. It is very near to the beach, which is not common here (usually only expensive hotels have a walk distance to the beach). I m not the first time in Thailand but this hotel has the most friendly and supportive stuff I have ever seen! Just for that I would stay there again!

Wonderful rooms, big and well planned. Wonderful and helpful staff, the cutest people I have ever met here in Thailand! Good service and lot of extra small bonus things in our room such as coffee making possibilities on the room, free water bottles, and so on. Nice pool. Walking distance to the beach.

The hotel is located very close to the nice beach which was not too much crowded. We would definitively stay there again, although the rooms were a little overpriced

Wir wohnen in der Schweiz und waren vom 07.-21.03.2009 in dieser Bungalow Anlage. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Es ist eine kleine Anlage mit wenigen Bungalows. Umgeben von tropischen Pflanzen und in der mitte einen schönen Pool. Meistens war ich am Pool alleine. Ruhe und Erholung garantiert. Der Pool war immer, wie auch der Rest der Anlage sehr sauber. Wir waren in einem Bungalow mit zwei Schlafzimmern und je einem Badezimmer. Zimmer super. Wasserkocher, Kühlschrank, kleines Wohnzimmer mit Fernseher, grosser Balkon mit Tisch und Stühlen. Einfach gemütlich..Alles ist immer super sauber gewesen. Nicht zur die Zimmer sondern die ganze Anlage. Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist einfach. Frische Früchte, Tostbrot mit Butter und Konfitüre, Ei oder Omlett etc.-einfach aber gut. In der Umgebung gibt es jede Menge Restaurants, Boutiquen, Möglichkeiten um Einzukaufen und Geld zu wechseln. Bungalows nur 2 Minuten vom schönen Strand. Wirklich der ideale Ort um sich zu erholen. War ein wunderbarer Urlaub. Ich würde jederzeit wieder in dieser Bungalowanlage reservieren. Ist der perfekte Ort um sich zu erholen. Alles Super.

I stayed for 2 weeks in a 2 bedroom bungalow with my wife and 2 small kids (3y and 9m) in one bedroom and a couple of our friends in the other. Rooms are a little small but each has independent bathroom with bathtub and shower, then there's a living room with TV, fridge etc. and a large balcony with chairs and coffee tables. It's a small and cosy resort, full of trees and flowers. The swimming pool is not big but most of the time we were the only users of it. To the beach is a 10 minutes walk (at baby stroller speed). The beach is very good, very large, the water is shallow and suitable for baby's swim. Being so large the beach is not crowded at all (at least this year)。 The areas for swimming are cordoned off to avoid collision with boats or water motorbikes. Now all the beaches of Phuket are infested by these water motorbikes. I think the Tourism Authority should consider if they bring more damage than profit to Thailand tourism industry. I think the loss in revenues they bring about is far larger from the profit. Anyway, Bangtao beach is certainly not the worse in this respect. Back to the Hotel. The staff of the Hotel is very lovely and they really make you feel at home. I can't list here all the things the did for us, they even took fresh coconuts from their trees and gave them to us free of charge. Or took me with a motorcycle to a pharmacy at night (my 3y old had a fever), again free of charge. Very nice place for a relaxed holiday, familiar atmosphere, little cosy environment and for people who prefer the beach or the pool to the Hotel room. The breakfast is normal average and the restaurant very small an normally empty. There's various restaurants available just ooutside the hotel, both Thai and Western, as well as car rentals, money exchanger, supermarkets etc. I would certainly recommend this Hotel.

We can recommend Bangtao Village Resort. Perhaps a little bit overpriced but very friendly and helpful staff. We especially enjoyed the smallness of the hotel and the secluded pool hidden inside the resort. No noice and very calm. People seldom eat at the restuarant. Please note that this placed is owned by moslems, thus no alcohol or beer will be served. We stayed at the 2 bedroom bungalow wich was very nice. Cleaning every day. Breakfast wast good too.

Nice clean hotel. Lovely smell from flowers in the garden near the pool. However bring your own alcohol. The owner is muslim and don't serve it at the hotel. We stayed 4 romantic nights. Nice beach around the corner (5 min walk)

when we first arrived at 2am we where very disappointed it was dark and didnt know what to expect. in fact we were already thinking of leaving first thing in the morning. then morning came and we walked the grounds, and walked to the town, 5 min walk. and realized what a paradise we where in. we had everything we needed without the big crouds. we met dang at breakfast and she really made this trip worth it. she never forgot our names EVER and all the staff where very helpfull although the hotel is small. you have your own bungalo and dont have to walk for miles just to get from one end to the other. we will visit this hotel again no doubt. if you like the hussle and bussle go to patong beach and its like being in bangkok. we almost booked there and boy are we glad we didnt. besides we can be there in 25 min anyway. so the shoping is better there, but the beaches and peace are better on bangtao. the only negative on this hotel is it's supose to include free internet witch never worked until the big boss came in after 11 am and then it was not that often but its so cheap in the little town it didnt really matter. this area is very awsome well worht it. have fun

We stayed in a familyroom with lots of space. It did though smell a lot of mould in the bungalow. Bangtao is a small place with limited of restaurangs and shopping near the hotell. And the prices are a little higher then ather places in Phuket. The hotel is located a bit from the beach and the area around is constactions going on. But the staff is very kind and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay, it is a cosy, valuable hotel in a nice atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the service is excellent. It is just a few minutes to the beach, which is one of the better beaches with clear water and not as busy as Kamala and Surin. We can strongly recommend it!

Warning!!!! We just stayd at this place only 1 night. Booked 4 nights. It was SO dark and just one other room with light. And this is high sesaon. 13.01.08. The rooms was ok, but the garden and everything outside was dark. We travel 2 moms and 2 boys, age 14 years. It was 5 min to walk on a dark road to get to a shop. If you stay here, pack a flashlight in your bag. We found a new hotel, Blue Garden, 50 meter frome the beach, 2 rooms, new hotel. Payd 3500 bath with breakfast for those 2 rooms. A really good place. We went to Karon after 4 days. Not so easy to find rooms there. Book before you go..... Payd 3500 for 1 de lux room at Phuket island view. Nice hotel with 3 pools and almost at the beach. We had a great time in Thailand, and will come back :-) But not too stay at this hotel....

This is a small and intimate hotell with excellent service provided. We booked a 2-bedroom bungalow which we were very pleased with. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. There is also a small livingroom with sofas, TV and refrigerator. Free drinking water supplied. Breakfast service was indeed very good, no limits for your breakfast order, they served eggs, yoghurt, toasts, fruit, pancakes among others. The reception was very helpful, especially when our luggage were missing from our flight from Bangkok and they took care of finding it. Nice swimming pool. It´s a few minutes walk to the beach but we didn´t see it as a problem. The hotel is well worth the money, especially compared to many of the other hotels we have stayed at during our trip to Thailand. This was the nicest hotel of them all.
