Accommodation and facilities:
It's all good! No problems recognizing the internet reservation. Shoulder season: Gave us a kid-bed at no extra charge! Adequate breakfast: Shoulder-season they cut back pretty drastically, but did make a Thai Fried Rice upon my request...turns out to be the best I ever had! Fresh fruit somewhat sparse (just pineapple/watermelon/banana) but ripe and fresh. 2 pools: a small (kid) pool by the family holiday house, and the big pool. Note: If it's busy season and you don't like to deal with pool noise then don't get housing by the big pool...it's a bit of an echo chamber and sound really carries. Front office let me make free local phone calls on their (personal?) cell phones. Location rocks. Best thing to do: Visit the M/W/Sat afternoon market on the road to the main drag. Excellent streetfood (especially past about 1600), good bargains when haggling, and lots of interesting people. The market has a tourist section (souvenirs) and a local section (food/produce/household items). Attractions/adventures accessible by car of course - most outfits will pick you up anyway.

Ayara Villas

Accommodation and facilities:
We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Ayara Villas. We had the Holiday House which was perfect for our family of four, the two bedrooms and two bathrooms and outdoor living area were great. The two pools are beautifully clean and well laid out, the only criticism being that the tiles around the smaller pool were very slippery when wet which was a bit dangerous. Breakfasts were enormous and really tasty, a choice of American (eggs any way) or Asian, served with fresh fruit and good espresso coffe. The location is very good, one of the best spots on the beach and close to shops and restaurants. We ate at Ayara restaurant several times, the food was fresh, tasty and well priced and the situation overlooking the beach is fantastic. Mini bar was very well priced, the gardens are beautifully maintained and the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend Ayara as an excellent value choice of accommodation in Bang Niang.

Reservation service:
Very easy to book with SiamWebHosting.com - all went very smoothly, had the most competitive price for this hotel and we would definitely use again.

Accommodation and facilities:
Stayed only one night due to disapointment with our room. As in a number of resorts and hotels in Thailand there is a need for refreshing in the rooms. In our room there was a highly smell of mould wich is nt that nice to live in, especially when you are allergic. We noticed as before that this problem is to find in many other resorts and mostly on ground floor. In the shower-room every thing was in concrete, walls, cealing and floor, no wonder it smells very odd because it never dries up. I think due to this and to very few tourists in the low-season that the resort is overpriced.

Accommodation and facilities:
This was our first visit to khao lak (but 5th visit to Thailand)and we loved it. We stayed at Ayara Villas in the holiday house for 6 nights and it was fabulous. The holiday house had two bedrooms, one with a large king sized bed and large bathroom, the connecting room had another king bed that we split into two singles. The staff were amazing and made the holiday extra special. They really helped with my Thai (thank you Mon) and were fantasic to my son. The main pool wiht the hotel buildings was beautiful and super clean, the mini bar had the cheapes prices I ve ever encountered in Thailand. We would defintely book again.

Excellent service, my emailed questions were very promptly answered. Seamless payment system, woudl highly recommedn using this booking agent

Nice resort and nice bungalow, but our “Seaview Bungalow” did not have any sea view since they are building a new resort in front of those bungalows. Located at the end of the road about 2 km away from Bang Niang “centre”, but there are several restaurants located near the resort. Nice beach with plenty of sun chairs, nice pools (there are 2 of them) but we preferred the beach. Good breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. Leif

Ayara Villas

Accommodation and facilities:
We were five people from Russia and we stayed at Ayara Villas from 18 till 27 of April, 2008, having booked a special package from Sawasdee (9-10 nights staying – pay for 5). There were no many people here this time. We ve made a conclusion that it's worth spending Your holidays in this resort. It's not a big one, better to say middle-sized, and we liked it. Super green area, full of plants, palms, wonderful smelling flowers. Very calm and quite atmosphere. It's a new-rebuilt resort (after tsunami). Every bungalow is well-equipped, nice and clean swimming pools with jacuzzi and water facilities. Really no more than 100 m up to the sandy beach with warm ocean water (mostly suitable for the families with children, I suppose). But no any coral places – so do address tourist bureau if you like and travel to the islands (Surin, Similan). Breakfast – quite enough and more, but a little bit similar every day (however, the food was not the main aim of our trip in Thai). Many restraunts and cafes, small shops, tourist desks nearby, 3-days working market in Bang Niang (10 minutes walking). We rented a motorbike and a car, so it was easy for us to travel along Khaolak area and to Phuket. We were impressed visiting waterfalls, swimming there is a beautiful contrast with surrounding +30-35° temperature. Some notice: - one-way taxi to Khaolak center is 150 B and no more, to Bang Niang 70-100 B - to change money is better in Khaolak center (because of rate) - to buy European (Italian, French) wine – also to Khaolak center. Grand thanks to Thai people, to the owners of resort, to friendly and polite staff for their hospitality

We loved our stay at Ayara Villas. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accomodating. The grounds are gorgeous and well-maintained. Our room, though not fancy, was clean, spacious and comfortable. We had a pool access unit and would highly recommend them, although the units nearer to the beach would be great, too. I imagine the units on the third floor, and maybe the second floor, of the building we were in would have wonderful views of the sunset over the Andaman Sea. The complimentary breakfast was surprisingly good and a real treat. The location of the villas was ideal for us as well. We much preferred the Bang Niang area to the more crowded Nang Thong area.

Accommodation and facilities:
We booked the stay 4 pay 3 package which required us to book a twin bungalow room (THB3500). We wanted to pay for the transfer from the airport (1500THB) but we were told to take a taxi. We decided to book a room at the airport given we were flying in late and may have found it hard to get one. When we arrived we were given room c7, which is behind the road in the gardens. The property is nicely set out with enough privacy. Dont agree that the area behind the road is cramped. The beach bungalows ( which in my opinon have the only water views) have the walkway to the beach in front of them, the resturant and reception, so feel the privacy would be limited. There is construction going on all around the property, from 7.30am until 11.30pm. We had the whole resort to ourselves for 2 of the 4 days, then shared it with a family. Although our stay was nosiy we didnt complain about the room they had given us which was directly in front of the construction at the back. The resort was empty and we did enjoy our stay, so asked if we could extend to a further 4 nights on same package, but move us to a villa in front of us b8. No views, exacatly the same, just abit quieter. Answer was no, we would have to pay 4400 for 4 nights in that room. We had dined in the resort on a few occasions so not quite sure why they would say no to a booking when its quiet. We decided to go somewhere else. Breakfast was good, and staff were lovely. Massage was not available in low season, and the interent was not working. Dining avail from 9am till 6pm only. Its some distance from town (about2.5km) so we hired a bike. Room amenties were good, thought about umbrellas, torch, candle etc. I would stay again

This is the perfect place to stay at. The bungalows are clean and if you chose a beach-front-bungalow - you get it all! 10 meters to the beach. A few meters to the restaurant/massage and pool. Good prices at the restaurant and you have a wonderful view at sunset right beside the beach. A quiet and restfull place to stay at. You have to walk a few minutes to the nearest 7-eleven but the mini-bar have good prices too. Bang Niang center is not as it was before the tsunami. If you want shopping you have to go to Khao Lak-center. But if you are considering which place to go to in Thailand - go to Khao Lak area now! There are VERY few tourists at the moment. A few people in sight bathing in the ocean in the middle of the day - and the beach is huge!

ayara villas was our choice for a 6 romantic days. we found the place and the hotel through the internet and could t believe how special it is. first, the resort is a little further away from all the others so you can feel some peace and quiet there. second, although it is new and indulging it is not so exepensive as the other resorts there. very good value for your money, a lot of sea and sun, like you look for at a vacation.

Reservation service:
one little thing. when a reservation is confirmed and paid it is not acceptible to charge the customer for a change been made on the room size. we had to pay more money after you charged us already because of a sudden change at the resort. but other than that we where suprised to find out how easy it is to book on the internet.

What a delight. The beach front bungalow was better than described. Overlooking the beach with just a 1 minute walk to the sea. The room was tastfully thai with a small kitchen attatched. Clean towels daily and a bonus of beach towels provided. Open air restaurant which served good and not to expensive food. Kao lak center about 3 miles away, had easy access via taxi service or hire a scooter which for us worked out cheaper, plus gave us the added bonus of being able to get about independantly. The staff at Ayara were very friendly and extremely helpful. Some had little English language, but this didn't cause any problems. Only problem encountered was the airport transport. We thought we had paid for a return trip before leaving England, only to be told on the day we left that we had to pay another 1500BHT to get back to the airport. Will definately go back .

This resort is very nice, and the staff is friendly and helpful. If you are a family, you need to book very early to get a family bungalow. We had to stay in two separate bungalows, even if we booked rather early. This is more expensive and not so nice. Much of the staff in Khao Lak is rather new employed, and therefor they do not speak very much english. Still they are very kind and helpful. Khao Lak is a very quiet place, compared to Kho Lanta, Railey, Phuket, etc and is a very good place to go for families and other who wants a relaxing holiday. I highly recomend Ayara Villas.

The beachfront bungalow was very nice and a good value for the peak season at approx. $80/night. I wouldn't recommend that other lodgings behind the road - they look cramped. The pool is also rather small, but not necessary given the great beachfront location. Only negative was the meager breakfast buffet - all hot items (eggs, bacon etc) were gone by 8:30 and it seemed to take a very long time to refill.
