The resort is located in Koh Ngai along the 2 kilometers stretch of white sandy beach that the island is famous for.
Mayalay Beach Resort is about 45 minutes away from the nearest jetty (Pakmeng Pier) situated in Trang Province.
How to get to Ko Ngai
In High season, there are boats scheduled to leave from Pakmeng Pier daily not later than 11:30 am. Should guest require earlier boat transfer, it is possible to arrange a private charter.
From Koh Lanta to Koh Ngai by Ferry boat - (On High and Peak season only). The ferry boat leaves at Ban Saladan Pier daily at 8:00 am north of Koh Lanta. Ferry will arrive in Koh Ngai at 10:00 am and vice versa, the trip back to Koh Lanta by the same ferry and leaves in Koh Ngai at 2:30 pm.

Mayalay Resort, Trang
Mayalay Resort, a new romantic resort, is located on the same side of Thapwarin Resort but on the other end. There are eight bungalows; four with A/C. All bungalows allow guests to get close to nature by using natural materials of construction like wood, bamboo, grass and nipa palm. A mile of pristine beach is ideal for joggers or just for a casual stroll. Swimming, sunbathing, bird watching and photographing are also activities that you can enjoy during your amazing holidays on Koh Ngai. Mayalay is located right on beach on Koh Ngai, the same side of Thapwarin Resort but on the other end. The joint speed boat from Pakmeng Pier to the resort leaves at 12.30 daily and for a 30 minute scenic ride straight from the Pier, you will arrive at the resort's beach.Mayalay Resort

Koh Ngai is a paradise and the Mayalay resort has the best location on the island. Best in the way that there is the best beach, the bungalows are placed near the beach and in the shadows. Maybe there could be a better breakfast

The bungalows were very nice - and we saw that the resort were painting and renovating ones in need which was good to see. The bungalows were cleaned very nicely too each day. Our only complaint was that the breakfast was very basic - most days we had to ask for things - surely it would be possible to ensure that fresh fruit and juice is provided each day. The buffet and the tables were also area not kept very clean. We think that the resort is in need of a manager who actively makes sure that staff are doing their jobs! If we were only paying 500B a night, this wouldnt be a problem - however for 3500B a night, you expect a certain level of service and friendliness!

We liked the bungalows and the location, but the reception and restaurant was poorly managed! About 7-8 dogs were running around in the reasturant area where we guests were supposed to have a nice breakfast or lunch. Disgusting! The food was expensive and did not taste very good. As I said. Sorry. We will not return.
