Lovely secluded beach, great snorkeling just a few meters out. The bigger family rooms and bungalows where nice but the small air-con rooms looked awfull,(worn down,small and just plain crappy).We uppgraded from one as soon as we stepped inside. The restaurant was unfortunatley overpriced (compared to Koh Lanta) and not very good,even worse when its quite a walk to the other beach where most of the resorts are located.

En riktig pärla, boende precis på stranden. Åk hit om du vill ha lugn, vi var där 4 nätter och det räckte alldeles utmärkt eftersom det bara fanns det hotellet på den stranden. Lite dyrare än andra ställen men absolut värt det. Liten miss med vår transfer från flygplatsen, väntade 3 timmar och fick ringa hotellet 3 gånger men det är svårt att vara arg på thailändare, dom gör verkligen sitt bästa.

Very nice and great secluded resort on Koh Ngai with private beach. We had a deluxe seaview room with stunning sunrise view. We were travelling with 2 kids, 6 and 10 years and they enjoyed the area the whole day. Restaurant at seaside level, which made us enjoy the crystal clear water and colourful fish in the sea. Kasjak and snorkel equipment can be rented for a low price. Tours can be arranged in the reception. Like to the esmerald cave on Koh Mook. The staff was very helpful. We loved it. If you like bars and to be entertained you have to chose another place :-)

Fantastic!!!! Helt underbart ställe. Ligger för sig själv på spetsen av ön, man kan på 10 minuter gå till de andra resorten som ligger efter varandra, inte lika mysigt. Personalen är super och jobbar hela dagarna, så man lär känna dom på ett mysigt sätt. Bodde i beach bungalow och det var som att bo på stranden, synd bara att man inte kunde gå ut via altanen, bungalown ligger i etage så det är väl en 2-3 meter ner från altanen så det kändes mer som en balkong. Beach view, pool acces = SUPER! Finns 3st bungalow som ligger som de andra men som har trappa från altanen ner till poolen. Underbart om man har barn. I poolen ligger man ocg njuter av utsikten - inga turister och spegelblankt hav :-) Maten ligger på ungefär samma pris som fastlandet men ölen är dyr - 180 THB för en Singha, så ta med en back från fastlandet att ha på altanen. Speedboat från Pak mengbeach kostade 4500 THB (vi var 7 pers) och tog ca 25 min.

The resort location and beach are beautiful with a good pool area. The bungalow is nothing special, but ok. The restaurant at the resort is the only option if you don't want to climb around in the jungle, and it's horrible. The food is not good and the service is even worse. If you manage to get the attention of a waiter you are lucky if you get the drinks before the meal, and the meal within an hour. We would like to come back to Koh Ngai, but never again at this resort.

This could be a fantastic hotel and the location could be supreme. But, this is not the case. The beach is not maintained properly, the coral reef is severly damaged by dynamite fishing and no restorations efforts ongoing. Coconut trees are not maintained - so they fall down on you if you are unlucky. The resturant is terrible regardless if you have Thaifood or International. There are bees, flies, wasps on the breakfast buffet and no attempt to shield the food. And they feed two Comodo dragons at the buffet and also do fish feeding. It is merely impossible to rent a long tail boat to do excursions unless you want to do exactly what they are selling. Free market does not exist for the Long tail drivers. I hope this hotel is sold and get a proper management some day and it could be great. We also walked to another resort where the food is better but still not worth it. Go to another island which is popluated by locals. The beach front bungalows was expensive and only 3 of them could reach the pool/beach from the portch the other ones you need to walk out the back.

Bra ställe! OM man gillar lugn å ro.. Fina bungalow, kanske lite överpris men klart värt det ändå. Poolen innehöll saltvatten vilket vi inte hade uppmärksammat, men de gick de å. Det finns ju inte mycket att göra förutom sola, bada, å käka.. Du äter dig igenom menyn på 3-4 dagar, så nån längre vistelse än så är nog ingen idé. Snorklingen var kanon. Alldeles utanför på deras privata strand, som inte är såå mjuk, men funkar helt ok.

Koh Ngai resort was just OK for our vacation. The resort is getting old and needs some maintainance especially the air-con rooms. With no Fridge or TV and poor air-con i thought it was a little over priced. The resort is very quiet with nothing to do but have dinner in the evening, the beach bar has no music or athmosphere so you do not want to sit there to enjoy a drink. Staff are more than brilliant :-)and the snorkling is great - many tropical animal to see on the island. Next time i choose a different hotel on Koh Ngai :-(

Det var väldigt rörigt när vi hade betalt för resor och mat så ville dom ha betalt ytterligare en och t o m 2 gånger för samma resa kommunikationen mellan personalen verkade inte fungera så bra sen tycker jag att badstranden inte var något vidare just vid detta hotellet. Det fanns finare stränder om man gick över en kulle.

Avoid this place! Everything about it is overprized (the rooms, the resturant and the minimart) and quite uncharmy. Instead, look for a place on the other beach. There you can find family bungalows starting from 1000baht/night and up. We canceled out booking at Koh Ngai Resort and stayed in a bungalow at Mayalay Resort instead and loved it!

Location is good, room with good view as requested. BUT the management team seem like that they were not really for the special event that they were planing. ( if they were planing at all ) VERY disappointed for the Gala Dinner 1,500 baht / person which ONLY drinking WATER for the dinner AND not even a soft drink. You have to buy other drinks from the bar. I work for the hotel for a long time and never see GALAR DINNER with water. Is this a new business model for the service industry? Next time when I book for any resorts or hotels with special event, I will definitely checks for the details and menu before paying. We came to celebrate NEW YEAR on the island which was only once a year and this was we got from the resort. I was not sure that they knew how to organize the special event. I will go to a more professional one next time with brand name of services. I felt like it was a fault advertising, when I booked for the room, nobody mention for boat transfering's cost. I did not realize the cost hiding of boat between manin land to the resort until I was in front of the front desk when I checked in. We were a guests at the resort. ( To be fair, it should be less than 450 / person. We were staying at the resort, they should provide all guests with transportion or at least a resonable price )DO NOT ASSUME FOR ANYTHING.

Agent and the resort should communicate better because both of you try to do business together. I booked the room for 5 pp.( paid for extra bed ) when I got there, the resort set up bed for 3 pp with very poor condition of extra bed for 900/night. I got to show them my booking paper to clear this out,they tried to charge me more for another extra bed. Yes, I got 2 extra beds, it was not like my original booking that said I would have a family suite for 4 pp. + 1 extra bed. The resort said that this was their standard family room which was not like you had advertised and showed on my paper of booking. Agent should go and see the resort you have represented to sale the room and make sure that you are understand the room type of each resort before you are telling your customers. If the resort can not deliver what you advertise, please let the customers know and decide if they want to stay or not.

We had a really bad experience at this place. Foremost the resort seemed kind of deserted, the beach was really bad. The food even worse... When we wanted to chech out before time, the receptionist got kind of cranky. Our first (and only) night was in a room, where the aircon was dripping water down to the bed, which ofcourse we turned off. So when I told the reception about it the day after, they said that it wasn't and accused me of lying (between the lines). So... We found a perfect resort down the beach, with good service and nice food.

Just comming home from bangkok this very morning, arrive Arlanda 05:52 after a pleasent fly with Thai. Koh Ngai resort is avery nice hotell, we live in a poolbungalow for a few days and join the tour to emeral cave, hotell sell packages, very nice indeed. But the resturant at hotell will be mutch nicer if the hotell management could fix some candlelight insted of those clear lightball in the ceiling. Cover that lights in the evening and the place will be just perfect.Even tablecloth could help up. It will be more of an romantic touch, looking out over the bay from a candlelight resturant. /M

We stayed here one year ago, that's why we came again. But not for 3rd time as it seems that the price/quality are no more in line. Unfortunately the hard wind from the mainland made it impossible to enjoy snorkelling or kayaking in the sea. Resort is isolated from the main beach, so there was not much to do. We decided to go to Koh Lanta asap.

This hotel is not up to standards compared to the high price. The service is good and the room was of an okay standard (even though it did not correspond to the name deluxe room by far). But the quality of the food was below anything we experienced in Thailand before! It was about double the price of most other thai restaurants and it was by far the worst food we ever got in the country. Considering that visiting any other restaurant is quite a project, I would not recommend this resort. (Having read the guest book at the place, we also know that we are unfortunately not alone thinking this way.)

Etablissement très propre, bien entretenu. Le personnel est particulièrement attentionné et très serviable. Nourriture excellente malgré une carte un peu limitée pour les séjours de plus d une semaine (surtout pour les enfants). Le seul reproche que je ferai, c est par rapport aux excusions proposées (snorkeling trip), il n y en a que 2 et elles sont onéreuses pour ce que c est (avec beaucoup de monde !!). Nous avons vraiment passé un agréable moment en famille sur ce petit quoi de paradis qui dispose de magnifiques fonds sous-marins à quelques mètres de la plage.

resort vecchio ed anche trascurato. Camera (delux)pulita, ampia ma molto spartana (del resto siamo su un isola)con camminata in salita impegnativa soprattutto se non piu giovani. Consiglio bungalow. Staff molto gentile, amichevole e soprattutto professionale. reef discreto, consiglio di andare a nuoto verso paradise beach (armati di buone pinne e soprattutto buone gambe)

A great and a very relaxing place with good service and food. We felt kind of isolated since the resort has no neighbours and it wasn't easy to get to the other resorts on the island. The prices were about the double compared to Koh Lanta. We could go there again but we recon that 3 nights would be enough.

Second time for this hotel and nothing has changed: Good service and very friendly personel. Hotel is nice hideaway from almost everything and you can really relax and recharge your batteries. Deluxe room we stayed this time was really nice with lovely view from balcony. Only disadvantage was that in room there was no closet or other place for your clothes and stuff. Bathroom was large with basic things, but no shells for keeping your shampoos etc...

This place was GORGEOUS and our room was great! However, don't go during non-peak season. We had originally booked 6 nights here, but since it was non-peak season and there were only 3 other guests besides us, they had ALL the amenities shut down: the internet cafe, electricity, restaurants were only on partial menu and there was NO entertainment, the massage/spa, pool bars, stores (couldn't buy suntan lotion, snacks or bug spray), any and all boat tours and ways off the island were shut down - there was nothing to do. So avoid Koh Ngai (the whole island) during off-season, but I would highly recommend this place during peak season. We had the beach front cottage and it was simple, but the view was magnificent. Our porch overlooked the beach and the pool, yet was under a tree so it was cool and relaxing. The pool was nice and the grounds well kept. We d go back but ONLY during peak season. In fact, we managed to trek through the jungle to get to other resorts and this was, in my opinion, the best on the island. Final answer: avoid the whole island of Koh Ngai during off-season (stick with someplace more touristy and busy), but choose Koh Ngai Resort during the peak season.

They also booked our transportation from the Trang airport to the island, which involved a bus and a boat ride. Very positive experience with siamwebhosting.

Position of the Hotel is good.Everything is close to the beach. The possiblity to do some beginners snorkling at a coral reef together with lots of colorful fishes is a bonus. The service and food is OK. We stayed 5 persons in an air conditioned family room. The Standard of this room is not the highest but compared to price we could not complain. We recommend anyone going to Koh Ngnai Resort to join the 3 Island tour arranged by the Hotel. It was a great experience visting an even better coral reef for snorkling,then the Emerald cave (a must to visit) and a couple of other good spots was making the day unforgettable. Go here if you want to relax and get away from shopping,bars,background traffic noise and longtailboats roaring outside of the beach continously. Instead you will have to enjoy the noise of nature (insects,frogs,cikadas,birds,fish splasing)in the surroundings of the hotel. Teenagers might get frustrated and restless at arrival. But booth our teenage daughters admitted that they liked this place and what it can offer after some days of nature adventure . We all would like to go here again.

stayed in a villa which is about 3rd level up hill but has sea view, very comfortable. Staff at resort were extremely friendly and helpful, if an item not available at the resort happy to order it in from the mainland, the reef has suffered some damage and is fished however still provides a worthwhile snorkling venue. we will return.

We stayed 6 days at the resort and could have stayed longer. We are not people sho like resorts but this was so nice and calm, with wonderful snorkeling waters just outside the poolarea. Good food and nice room. We stayed in a Delux room and it was clean and nice with a TV that had many international channels that worked well. Many of the rooms are up a hill so you should be fit to stay at a Delux room. Cheaper rooms and expensive bungalows are closer to the water and in lower terrain. Service at the only restaurant is many times very slow and you need a lot of patience with them. Many Swedish families with children at the resort when we stayed there. Nice if you have children too but might be irritating if you are looking for a romantic holliday. Water can only be bought at the bar! And at 60 bht a bottle so bring lots of it! Very few items can be bought at the resort store so bring everything you need. You can walk to another beach from the resort but this must be done dure daytime because it involves climbing and walking through forest and there are snakes and huge lizards in the area. Snorkeling gear can be rented at the hotel for 150 bht a day. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!
