Schöner Strand, die Bamboo Hütten sind ganz nett, der Pool ist Ok, der Staff ist sehr unterwürfig und wird wahrscheinlich nicht gut bezahlt, denn so unfreundliche Thais hab ich in den letzen 8 Jahren Thailandurlaub noch nie erlebt. Auch das Englisch der Rezeptionsbedienstenten lässt zu wünschen übrig. Waren nicht fähig den Code der Visacard einzutippen, da der Chip kaputt war!

Lovely place right on the beach. Nice pool and poolbar. Nice rooms. Great breakfast. If i go too Koh Mook again i will stay att Charlie beach Resort. Sorry to say that the serving people in the resturant was not so friendly that is common in Thailand. I really do not no way? There is absolutly no shopping close so take sunscreen and spray for the mosquitos with you. There is a very expensiv minimart at the hotel.

Good standard and nice location. The beach is quite good, not as white sand as on Sivalai resort beach but the atmosphere is way better here according to me and my girl friend. There is a mini market at the resort but the prices are awful and there isn't much to buy either. The pool area is nice with a simple pool bar. Many hours were spent with a book on a sun bed. Not to crowdy. The hotel restaurant serves the typical Thai food and western choices seen everywhere on tourist locations in Thailand. They are indeed very fast on serving you and the staff is friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel if you plan on going to koh mook. You get around the island easy with the longtail taxi boats for a quite reasonable price.

I had expected more from this hotell. It was nice situated at the beach. The bungalows was ok, but not so high standard as i had expected. There was no posibility of upgrading because they were all the same.The sheets and the towels felt dirty. There was spots on theme that hadn´t been washed away. It was expensive to eat at the hotell so walk by the minimarket and eat at the small restaurants on the way to the other side of the island. The breakfast was poor. The staff was friendly.

Charlie Beach is a very nice set of bungalows on a beautiful beach. From the village you can walk across the island to the other side in 30 mins, and get a tuk-tuk back. There is not much on the othe other side, so if you are going to Koh Mook Charlie Beach should be the choice not Sivalai.

This is a god resort with nice bungalows in a green enviroment.The closness to the Emerald cave does it even better..Kho Mook has a not so long, but a very fine beach very you can snorkling at the cliffs to your right hand side. Not very much to see, there is no corall but a few fish. When you are bord of the beach- take a walk to the other sida of the island. There is a little village and it is always interesting to look around!

The arrival to Koh Mook Charlie Beach Resort gave us a good first impression. Nice swimming pool and the staff was friendly and gave us good service but everything was a bit expensive, the prices at Charlies minimart were more expensive then the restaurants prices next door at Koh Mook beach Resort. We had a small bungalow. Inside the bungalow there was a bed with a bad mosquito net. There were big holes in it. And the sheets smelled bad, like they never had been washed. So I slept in my own travel sheets every night. When we got to the bungalow the second evening we saw a big rat climbing up the pole in the left corner. The rat disappeared out between the wall and roof when we came in. I woke up several times each night when the rat moved around and inside the walls. I think it lived in there. The third evening we came in we saw it again so I went to the reception to complain. The receptionist called some staff on her walkie-talkie and there came four people who searched for the rat. They didn’t found it after one minute of searching and started to laugh at us. They just said that it was ok. It was not ok. The rat came back. We also asked if we could change bungalow but they just laughed. There were rat droppings everywhere most in the shower area. Without exaggeration we got over 100 mosquito bites together while sleeping in the bungalow. The last day we got a snake in the bungalow I removed it with the broom, at this point we didn’t care to tell the staff, we just left. We had a small bungalow. position fantastic but rooms just boxes, shower, air-con, fridge etc. all worked but no character, very much a family resort. menu food great but seafood BBQ and all drinks very overpriced. the little restaurant at the end of the beach was much better (they also arranged our tranfer to Trang for a fraction of the price of the hotel) A beautiful location, we re pleased we ve been, but 2 nights was enough.

A really nice place. A lot of bungalows but it never feels crowded. The breakfast is really good and the bungalows aswell. The beach is really nice for children and it is very close to the Emerald cave, which is a exciting place. The only drawbacks where the price in the restaurant. Eat at the other places at the beach or in the jungle. Also the supermarket is very overpriced and does not have so many products. We took a scooter to the supermarket in the village, much much cheaper.

Very good value for your money in every way! I am very pleased with my week. Extra plus for the staff (both nice and efficient), the breakfast buffét and for how clean everything was kept. Random remarks: a) The Internet service was a joke. Or put in this way (I was stupid enough to try it more than once with the same outcome): Speed - about 3 sites/hour. Cost - about 60 bath/site b) Daily extra cost for using the pool 200 baht/person

We came from Koh Kradan and compared to that this was like comming back to civilization. In a good and bad way. The good thing was that here the staff are nice and polite and speak english, the food is good and menue broad. The bad thing was that the beach and water compared to Kradan was crap (Kradan is SPECTACULAR in that way). After the kids had been in the pool for 2 days me and my wife where really fed up. There is not much else to do. The walk to the other side of the island is too far to walk with children. There are 3 restaurants and a mini market which is expensive in Thai measure. The bungalow (beachfront) was expensive but nice. I warmly recomend that you take the boat from here to Koh Lipe which is a bit lik Koh Phi Phi was 20 years ago, don´t miss it!

The water in the pool was not as clear as it could be, but none of the kids got sick, so I guess it is only sand and salt that gets dragged in. Ideal place for families, and a small beach the kids to roam and hunt for crabs with flashlights by themselves

The bungalow was very nice, breakfast buffé had everything you could wish for! Staff made scrabled eggs on demand, coffee served as many times as you liked. The bungalows are ok, basic, you get what you pay for. In general the food was very good on the island and the New Years Eve party on the beach was really something to remember. On the bad side was the beach bar, playing music (including singing visitors) loud late at nights - something which makes us considering not going back to that resort.

Has been working very well. What I find challenging though is to decide and pay 100% in advance for specific dates when you reserve the bungalows 8-10 months ahead. The resort is not willing to pay back anything during high/peak season if you want to leave a day or two earlier even if, as in our case, we payed for 42 nights (6 persons - 7 nights).

This is an adequate hotel, but nothing special. They seem to cater to families who make it a destination vacation spot. The rooms are good size and baths are large. The food is marginal and rather overpriced. The beach out front is best for sunbathing, although there is some snorkeling.

Great island, very good snorkeling and very nice beach with white sand. A perfect place. Take a walk around the island. There is a boutiful nature. There are also several restaurants (with cheap food) and a little supermarket. Charlie Beach Resort is a very nice place but too big and the restaurant is very noisy and not cosy. The food is ok. But go to the other resturants and take a walk to the others resorts especially if you want to meet with thai people (or go to Koh Sukorn). But we will come back to this island because of the opportunity to snorkeling.

Fantastic beach. Breakfast was delicious! We stayed in a Bamboo Chalet Fan, the smallest bungalow we ve ever stayed in though the bathroom was ok in size. We got what we paid for, so nothing to complain about. Nice pool, which was highly enjoyed by the kids. The restaurant was nice at night when all tables were moved out on the beach. There were 2 other small restaurants on the beach, not part of the resort, and we recommend a visit to both of them, they both had great food. I thought that the hotel was reasonable value for money. The rooms were clean and tidy and the provision of beach mats, minibar and safe were all useful. Our bathroom was not very pleasant thought as there was a urinal placed directly in front of the toilet. Location is good as beach is very nice and lots of excursions from resort.

This was the highlight of our vacation. Charlies is a really nice resort. It is really clean and cosy. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. Koh muuk is a quiet and peacefull place to relax in beautifull surroundings. Good breakfast. In the evenings the hotel served dinner on the beach. The hotel had a small pool with poolbar that was really nice with a lot of sunchairs around it.

Lovely place! It was like paradise to us, not so many turists,nice and friendly staff. We could easily have stayed much longer there. Next time we go to Thailand we´ll definitely go there again.

Hotel was ok. Rooms are clean, functional and friendly. Only stayed a night there, so can't say much about staff or atmosphere at hotel. The restaurant is a bit ugly, but at night they set up tables at the beach so you can still have a nice dinner under the stars. The beach is not so great, no shade and not so good to swim. We would go to another beach next time on the other side of the island.

Accommodation and facilities:
This was the third tim we visited Koh Mook and Charlie Beach Resort and we still like it as much as the first time. The Island is very nice and the resort offers very comfortable bungalows. The restaurant offers many good dishes and a barbecue with nice fish- other seafood- and meatdishes. We might return for the fourth time!

We were very disappointed with Charlie Beach Resort this year went back after having a wonderful time there last year. It has nearly all been taken over by a sweedish charter company, hence the need to build a swimming pool Although we tried to book a beachside bungalow as early as August they were all reserved for them, as were all the best positions of the other bungalows. We ended up with a view of the kitchen which smelt very unpleasant also the garden looked like a rubbish site. Cleaning was not very thorough in five days they never cleaned the bathroom mirror.only made beds and emptied bins. Would definately not go back there again.
