Отдыхали в этом отеле с 9 мая по 15 мая 2012. Месторасположение отеля-отличное. Сам по себе отель- староват, конечно, но в целом-нормально. В бунгало убирали каждый день, белье и полотенца меняли каждый день. Однако- дают по 2 полотенца: 1 полотенце для тела, а другое- зеленое- пляжное. Не хватало маленького полотенца-для других потребностей. Когда у нас что-то упало под кровать и мы ее отодвинули( отодвигается очень легко- на колесиках) - то под кроватью был жуткий слой грязи и пыли- с полгода точно там не убирали! Возле входа в бунгало стоят кувшины с водой и поварешками- чтобы ноги от песка смывать- так обслуги никогда воду в них не наливала. Нам приходилось самим выискивать способы наливать туда воду (ведра-то в номере нет). Мы обрезали 5-литровую бутылку от питьевой воды , потом с душа туда набирали и носили в этот кувшин. Довольно однообразные завтраки: практически каждый день одно и то же. В завтраках мне, например, очень не хватало хотя бы одного блюда тушеных овощей в соку- чтобы была хоть какая-то подлива к рису. Потому как рис по-тайски суховат. Еще замечание (если администрация отеля обратит внимание, конечно)- чтобы молоко для кофе-чая- стояло на подогреве. Практически все время приходилось пить кофе с молоком в теплом виде, что не очень-то приятно. Очень не понравилось обслуживание в столовой во время заказа обеда или ужина: садились за грязный, плохо протертый столик. Когда официант приносил заказанные блюда, то даже салфетки на столик не клали - там вот вилки-ложки на грязный стол и подавались. Также не на каждом столике стояли вазочки с салфетками. С этим у них большие проблемы. Когда покушали- то счета на оплату не допросишься и официанта не дозовешься. Приходилось ждать минут 15-20. В столовой очень старые столы и стулья. Стулья страшно жесткие, тяжелые... Задница, извините, на этих стульях просто каменела. А вот в рядом стоящем ресторане (звездой побольше) - на таких же стульях лежат подушечки. По столам с едой могут лазить кошки- поэтому не оставляйте свою еду без присмотра. А то, пока ходите за забытым куском хлеба, ваше блюдо попробует какая-нибудь киса или местный скворец. Когда обедали или ужинали- все время с моря дует сильный ветер- прямо в лицо, что очень неприятно. У меня с блюда листики зелени просто слетали. Горячая еда быстро остывала. А вот в ресторане рядом стоящего отеля- на этот случай прикрывали окна прозрачными пластиковыми шторами. Но не в нашем отеле. То есть заботы о комфорте гостей в этом отеле не видно. Но еда в ресторане отеля- очень вкусная. Цены- самые дешевые среди других отелей. Но мы все -равно выбрали бы этот отель, потому как это самый экономичный отель на Западном побережье.

The hotel itself is located directly at the beach, has a nice pool and a great looking garden with enough privacy for each individual bungalow. I wouldn't save money and take the fan room again, the room was moldy and humid and just too hot in March to be value for money. Sheets are changed daily, staff is helpfull but the staff in the restaurant was slow, untrained and clumsy. Don't waste money on western food in sand sea resort, stick to thai. Highly recommended is the bbq fish there and a dinner table with sunset view. Pick up service worked nicely and their mini market is one of the cheapest ones on Railay beach. Slight drawback is that Sand Sea Resort is the pick up point for all the boats and dozens of exhausted travellers will wait infront of the restaurant. Be aware that Railay beach is very flat and at low tide looks like a swamp, we didn't know that and were disappointed in the beach quality.

Sand Sea Resort is situated almost in the middle of West Railay Beach with a path that leads to East Railay. Their restaurant overlooks the beach and the food and service is great. We asked for an air conditioned bungalow with twin beds and there is enough space for two lots of luggage. There is a pool, mini-mart, massage and booking office for tours. They also offer a transfer service that includes getting you to and from the longtail boat with your luggage without getting wet when the tide is out. I love this part of Thailand and plan to come back next year.

Nice hotel and we lived in a superior bungalow near the beach. The staff wasn´t so friendly, but okej service. A bit expensive hotel, so next time I go to Krabi i will stay in Ao Nang instead and take a boat to Railey during daytime. The west side was very expensive, so whe walk to the east side att the evening and have dinner. Lovely beach!

Hi, we stayed at Railey for almost 12 nights in total. Some of them here are Sand Sea resort. Here is a review of Sand Sea followed by a generall discription of Railey/Ao Nang. Sand Sea resort We booked sand sea resort since our other accommodation was full. The bungalows are quiet and clean. The services personal swift and professional. The pool was ok, but a little bit shallow. The worste thing with Sand Sea is the price and the restaurant/breakfast. There are other places that will give you the same standard of living for less money. If you don't need a bungalow Princess resort offers the same quality of living for less money. Also the pool and breakfast is better there. The breakfast... Somehow they never have lids on the fruit and it is crawling with flies. Disgusting with 50-100 flies per fruittray. We also tried to eat at the restaurant. The problem was that it was halft full and that is way more than the staff can handle!!! Both us, and some other groups I may add, had big problems to get any of the waiters attention. They just stood chatting by the kitchen. I think half the restaurant left without getting their food or ordering. That said when you don't eat at Sand Sea it is a nice place. I recommend it if you are prepared to pay a little bit extra, don't want to take any chances regarding your accommodation and you want a bungalow. Or if Princess is full. ;-) Generall restaurants Here is the deal. The example from above is not unique for Sand Sea. It is a general problem on many of the resorts at Railay. Don't be fooled to think this is the Thai way of service. It is not. Believe me. It is just a bad habit that the Railay resort restaurants have. So if you want service and food within the hour of your arrival take a walk to a restaurant instead of staying in your resort. There are some that are ok but I would recommend the restaurant that lies in the same building as the Last Bar(It is named the Last Bar) at Railey East. Very good Indian food, but don't worry they have great Thai and fresh seafood as well. Railey now and before: I have been to the Ao Nang area three times. Now, 2003 and 2004. And for those of you that have been here before I just want to tell you.... It is way, way, way more exploited(and expensive) now. Mainly resorts and the backpackers have almost(only almost) left. There are also much more people here and the beaches crowded in high season. If I come back it would be for the wonderful climbing. Even though Phra Nang beach (Hope I got the spelling right) is beautiful there are other beaches in the archipelago that are less crowded and almost as nice. Beaches Other than Phra Nang the beaches are pretty dull. They are full with loud longtail boats and the water is “dirty”. Better at the islands. Don't stay at Railay and Ao Nang beliving that those beaches are nice. Thare are way better ones. Prices Ao Nang and Railay is very expensive for being Thailand.... If you can do your shopping anyplace else , do it. That includes everything from suits to T-shirts.

I have stayed in the fan bungalou and had no problem with the high temperature inside. This is the cheapest hotel in Reiley west. The disadvantages are the monkeys and squirrels jumps on the roof and poor restaurant. Hovewer I would recommend it for good sweeming pool, location and service.

Beautiful location! Right on the beach at Railey West. None of the rooms actually have a beachfront view, the restaurant and pool are on the beach. The pool is gorgeous. And the breakfast is great. The fan rooms are not so fresh, but the a/c rooms are nice. Take the 10 minute walk to the Phra Nang beach and hang out there for the day.

We traveled with 2 young kids and expected to arrive on a nice quiet resort. really disappointing!!! don't reccomend Railay for kids. much more relaxing and beautifull places elsewhere. biggest mistake we made on our 3 week trip! too busy and noisy for us. long tail boat's engines running all day. loads of daily travelers all over the place (restaurant and pool and also passing through resort to get to eastern side. food was awful (spaghetti with ketchup sauce, hamburger which looked like fried fish and was hard as brick!) , bad service. no room service. We got a Junior suite. room was large and nicely decorated. clean too. too bad the suite next door was being built while we were there... Safe was broken but fixed within less than an hour. We booked 7 nights and left first thing in the morning after breakfast which wasn't the best...and not so clean. we almost flew all the way back to kosamui to our previous hotel but then found a resort half the price and 10 times better in kolanta.

medium hotel. the beach is beautiful and the resort, which is right on the beach, from what I heard has the best price of all the resorts on the beach. We took the best room and it was big, had a jacuzzi, but thats about it... all the rest was nothing special. The reception service was smile less and the breakfast was OK and had yesterday dinner. On the last day there was no running water in the morning, couldnt get an answer why.... any way - if you can - book a better resort, if not, this resort is really OK but thats it...

We (couple age 50) had the Junior-Sweet-Cottage in front row next to pool. The Cottage was nice, everything okay, the whirlbathtube in the bathroom super! BUT the rate for this cottage on Krabi is too high - maybe because it is on the popular Railaybeach. Railaybeach surroundings beautiful - the beach itself very crowded, very noisy because of the many going and coming longtail-boats.The massage-girls are often nuisance on the beach. The hotel-staff specially reception and restaurant was unfriendly and desinterested. Breakfast was okay -if you are there at time and not later than 9.30. (Finished at 10.00) If you are sleeping long and hoping to get nice breakfast at 9.45 am you will be rather disappointed.Buffet nearly empty. If you are keen on nightlife of Krabieast you are on a good location. Next time we would look for accomodation on the much quieter Ao Ton Sai beach to the right.

Although the bungalow, facilities and location were good, I think this resort is very overpriced. The staff were surly and disinterested (the only smile we got during our stay was from the porter). The resort also doesn't seem to trust it's guests at all. They asked to keep a passport (nowhere else we stayed asked for this and I think this is actually illegal..) and in the room there were prices for everything (towels, kettle, pillows), in case you damage or steal anything in the room - bit bizarre! Breakfast was pretty awful. It seemed to be mostly comprised of leftovers from dinner the night before. I ve never seen Spaghetti Bolognese at a breakfast buffet before! Overall, the resort is nice, but given the downsides, I would only recommend staying here if you get a really good deal, as for what we paid, we definitely didn't get value for money.

Our second stay here. Nice hotel in a beautiful place. Good value for the money we paid. Great location on the west side of the Railey beach. Stuff, facilities and breakfast were average. At all, it's the best place on the west side for travelers with limited budget. Отель хороший и недорогой. Бунгало расположены на западной части Рэйли бич. Супериор бунгало в котором всегда останавливаемся выглядит вполне прилично. В номере есть термос, две бутылки воды ежедневно. Душ стандартный для тая. сантехника хорошая новая. Окна до пола. В окошках маскитные сетки. Кондиционер хороший. Лучший выбор цена/качество, если хочется жить на западном рейли не за дорого. На ресепшене полно трансов, персонал в ресторане немного тупит. Проблем за время нахождения в отеле не было.

Super Resort !!! sehr saubere Zimmer, schöne Gartenanlage, toller Pool, riesiges Frühstücksbuffet das keine Wünsche offen läßt. Aber das allerbeste ist immer noch die Lage am Railay West mit dem schönsten Strand den ich je gesehen habe. Von hier kann man tolle Ausflüge mit dem Speedboot nach Honk Island oder Phi Phi unternehmen. Im Restaurant kann man außerdem noch gut essen.

This was in the perfect location on the west side of the island. It was absolutely fine and I recommend it for anyone who has emphasis on what they do in the day and just need a sound, comfortable room at night. The room was perfectly clean, bed comfortable and had a well-stocked mini bar, and the pool was great. Restaurant food was so-so but being located next to everything else that's pretty much irrelevant. I stayed in the superior AC bungalow. It wasn't fancy but good value for money.

Stayed for three nights in one of the superior bungalows. I think the difference between the superior class and the next one down is air con as opposed to just a fan, as I wouldn't describe the room as superior. It was adequate and clean, and fine for a short stay. The bathroom had an enormous shower / wet room which had only a shower attachment head with quite weak water flow, so that could do with an upgrade and better use of space. The white towels had seen better days for sure - they were old, greying and hard. The lighting on the pathways between the bungalows definitely needs improving, as it's really quite dark at night, so you might be advised to bring a small torch with you. The pool is small but nice, and overlooks the beach, and gets quite a bit of shade in the day, so it's a nice cool dip in the heat, and doesn't get really hot so you feel like you re in a bath! Staff service is pretty average. Many of them seem totally disinterested, but there were a few who were friendly and helpful. The restaurant menu is quite extensive but breakfast selection is poor. If I were to return to that side of the island, I d try one of the other hotels.

När vi skulle ut på vår ö-luff valde vi att landa på Sand sea resort de första dagarna. Det är ett fint hotell som ligger perfekt vid den långa härliga stranden. Vi bodde i ett ljust fint aircon delux rum. Barnen uppskattade poolen mycket. Den var ren och fin när vi var där första gången. På vår väg hem tre veckor senare var den tyvärr smutsig och inte lika inbjudande.

Good location on West Railey beach, but at the top rate the bungalow is certainly bad value for money. Lots of mosquitoes (how much can it cost to have mosquito nets on the beds I wonder? Breakfast choice was not great with lack of fresh fruit juices. About the beach the only pity is huge the number of boats making a racket all day long...I don't think I heard the sound of the waves once from the beach.

Vår bungalow, Sweet Cottage som vi bodde i på Sand sea resort var fantastiskt bra, rymlig och lyxig. Bokade 2 extra bäddar till barnen och trots det kändes det inte trångt. Boendet ligger intill stranden. Frukosten var bra, som serverades vid stranden. Personalen på hotellet var trevliga och hjälpsamma. Middagsmaten på hotellet var sådär. Vi åt hellre middag på grannhotellet Raily Bays restaurang, där maten var super med god service, till bra priser. Sand Sea Resort ligger på västra sidan av Raily där stranden är fin. Man kunde även promenera från hotellet till den fantastiska vackra stranden Prah nan, vilket man skall göra om man åker hit. På Prah nan finns även kvinnogrottan att beskåda. Promenaden dit tog ca 7 minuter på en spännande anordnad stig. Stranden på östra sidan av halvön vill jag inte rekommendera ngn att bo vid. Stranden där är mer träskliknande, än en fin strand. Vi är mycket nöjda med vistelsen på Sand Sea Resort och Raily där vi bodde i 4 nätter.

We got the deluxe fan bungalow and it was ok for the money. They were very helpful at the reception. The sales person at the minimart was very rude and dont use the restaurant only if its necessary, coz the food was allright but they have the slowest service in the world, but you can eat somwhere else. I'll go back next year and stay in sand sea! :)

Our stay at Sand Sea Resort was fantastic. We stayed in the Cottage Suites and they are neat and clean and pool and restaurant facilities were everything we were hoping for. There is on alcohol for sale at the restaurant but they are happy for you to byo for no additional charge. I would recommend this place to anyone!

The room was big, perfectly located right in front on the beach, with sea view, just one little street to cross. Still the room looks old, not decorated at all and the walls look dirty (dead mosquitos, stains...). It's just value for money but so well located on a very peaceful and nice beach, with loads of little restaurants right on the smooth sand that we really enjoyed our stay there. We'll come back and ask for the same room.

It´s on the best side, Railey west. You cannot bath on Railey east. Quiet, kittens playing in the garden outside of our cottage, many squirrels to look at, the hotel personnel feeds them from their hands. Nice pool and restaurant directly on the beach. Good varition regarding the breakfast, different things diffent days. We booked a cottage with fan because of the price, so we were a little worried about the heat. But we had no problem, we didn´t even use it in the nights because my husband thought it was cold when it was on. No complaints.

Sand Sea is on a beautiful beach. Our room was comfortable and very clean. Unfortunately, my attempt to get detailed instructions to get to the resort was not very successful, though we did manage to arrive in one piece, even if we had to emerge from the ocean with luggage on our backs. :) The daytime staff was so friendly and kind, but the nighttime hosts were more difficult to work with. There are plenty of places to eat around the resort, and the pool is a lovely alternative when the tide comes up too high to lay on the sand. Railay Beach is gorgeous and this is a great place to see the view.

After having been at Railay each I m quite sure that we will not go back there again. Sand Sea Resort is not that bad, but the high price level, the non-personal service and the crowded reception/restaurant extremely close to the crowded beach, simply doesn't make it a cosy place to stay at. The feeling and description you get on the website is a magic land with your own privacy , but Railay Beach is one of the most commercial places we bumped into during our journey in Thailand. We stayed in a bungalow that didn't feel as fance as on the pictures but a quite old and torn one, with a dead cockroach stuck in the bathroom window for our entire stay. So a minus for the cleaning staff there! Otherwise really no complaints for the stay, but it was simply not worth the high price, and you can surely find nicer places.

Отдыхали в этом отеле 12.04.09-16.04.09, тип номера – Superior air condition. Отель можно оценить как твёрдые 3*. Плюсы: Отель расположен прямо на пляже, причём, на West Railay, который выгодно отличается от East Railay по чистоте, пейзажам, отсутствием помоек, запахов и строек. Сам пляж West Railay – небольшой, соответственно, все ресторанчики, магазины и турфирмочки находятся рядом с отелем. Ресторан отеля также находится на пляже, вечером в нём очень романтично: ветер с моря, горящие фонарики. Бунгало – очень симпатичное, хотя и не очень новое, сама территория отеля – зелёная, с небольшим прудом, на территории растут кокосовые пальмы и манговые деревья, по которым в больших количествах бегают местные белки, бассейн – чистый и симпатичный. К территории отеля и номеру практически нет никаких претензий. Уборка номера - качественная, убирались ежедневно, ежедневно же меняли полотенца. Минусы: Завтраки не понравились категорически. Я обычно не очень придирчива, плюс, много путешествовала (в том числе в Тайланде была в трёх отелях), так что сравнить есть, с чем. В этом отеле были худшие завтраки из всех, что я встречала. На выбор было представлено 5 горячих блюд, из которых три были неизменными: вафли, копеечные по стоимости сосиски со вкусом резины и поджаренные яйца. Остальные 2 блюда ежедневно менялись, но обычно были не очень вкусными, из дешёвых продуктов, поджаренные на плохом масле - ощущение, что питаешься в дешёвой забегаловке. Выбор фруктов был, но иногда они были «с душком», из выпечки и сладкого к чаю – только тосты с джемом. Вообще, в ресторане этого отеля цены на блюда были самые низкие (что плюс, конечно) из всех пляжных ресторанов и при этом блюда – самые невкусные и некачественные. Можно 1-2 раза поужинать, конечно, чтобы составить своё мнение (с ужинами ситуация всё-таки лучше, чем с завтраками), но вообще очень рекомендуем кафе Flame Tree на этом пляже: по ценам – средне или чуть выше среднего, по качеству еды – отлично. Ещё одним минусом были потёртые и дранные полотенца в номере, такое убожество я опять же встречаю в первый раз. Это при том, что отель был недешёвым, если сравнивать его с другими отелями на Railay. Терпимо, но не очень удобно было то, что сейф находится не в номере, а на рецепции – не набегаешься. Хотя спасибо, что вообще есть. В отзывах об отелях Тайланда принято писать о персонале и обслуживании. Так вот, в отеле в этим всё в порядке, нареканий нет, но если сравнивать с другими отелями Тая, персонал был чуть менее услужлив и приветлив – в других отелях старались изо всех сил услужить и угодить, тут с этим более прохладно. Подводя итоги, рекомендую поискать другие отели на Railay, а в этот ехать, только если уже нет иных вариантов, подходящих по цене и местоположению.

The hotel was very nice, on the beach, the service was perfect and people very friendly and smiling, always willing to help. The rooms were very clean and again service was perfect. The only drawback, everything closes (swimming pool, shops within the resort) around 8:00pm, so it is a little bit dissapointing. By comparison with other resorts around Raylay West, the luxe of the rooms is lower but the service brings it to the top for this range of price.

Bodde 3 nätter på Sand sea och det kan jag varmt rekommendera. Trevliga gungalows som var rena och fina. Poolen var det dock lite dåligt med sol runt så det var stranden som gällde. Frukosten var lite tråkig men man överlever. Har bott tidigare på Railey Bay resort och jämfört med det så blir det nog Sand sea igen, finare bungalows

Про Sand Sea Resort я бы так сказала: всё супер, сам отель - большая, красивая, зелённая территория, большой бассейн , отличный завтрак, находиться в красивой бухте, только проблема в том что он находиться на пляже Ao Nang, Railay Beach, а туда можно добраться и выбраться только на лодке (15 мин) и если у вас багаж мне кажется с большим чемоданом не удобно, мы там всего на 1 ночь, поэтому багаж оставили в аэропорту в камере хранения и проблем не было.

this hotel is but well located on west railee beach. Service is ok. Breakfast is only average but the main problem is that when you use a car its impossible to reach this hotel you must take a long tail boat each time you want to leave this place. Another thing dont go there in the afternoon with heavy suitcases because the sea is down and you must carry them walking 300 meters to reach the boat most of the time with the sea covering your feet.

The bungalows where very old - and the price too high for it. We had a fan bungalow and a friend one with a/c but no big difference here. The staff was unfriedly: we had to carry our luggage on our own back to the boat and be careful of the cleaner - we lost some money. The beach was good. But when you arrive there by longtailboat you have to exit on the other beach - which is a wet and aching (stones) problem at low tide.

the hotel is very nice. the location and the view of the west beach is beautiful, much more better than the east beach. breakfast is good, staff are nice and the rooms are big enough for couples. the garden needs more care,. the swimming pool is ok. i will recommend this hotel for stay in railay bay. the only problem i faced is the transportation to aonang or namao bays by longtail boat, you have to find a group of 7 persons or more otherwise you will pay more

We stayed in the bungalows with a/c and were very happy with our stay. It's not top notch or newly renovated, but the stay as a whole was very good. It's located on the west side of raylay beach, and this side is definitelty the one to stay at. Only accessible by longtail boat, but this proved to be no large problem. This meant the beache and area was not as busy, which is what we were seeking. So a stay is recommended.

We had a very pleasant experience staying at Sand Sea Resort. The beach was breathtaking, the pool lovely, the gardens beautiful. I have a few complaints that I'll share, but they weren't enough to ruin our vacation! The hot water wasn't always consistent, sometimes going cold in the middle of a shower. Some of the staff was not very friendly - particularly those that worked in the mini-mart and tour buildings. The breakfast got a bit dull - we stayed for 8 days and only one or two dishes changed each day. The food in the restaurant wasn't particularly great (especially compared to next door Railay Bay Resort). We took a risk going in July (rainy season), and alas it rained 4 out of the 8 days we were there. Still, we had a very good time. I think, however, if I were to return to Railay I would probably stay at the Railay Bay Resort, which seemed much nicer and the staff much friendlier.

Since I booked with my company's credit card (which is not in my name), I was required to get a copy of the card-holder's passport and send the payment through money transfer. It was a little bit of a hassle, especially when the resort never asked to see the additional passport information.

We booked for a deluxe air-condition bungalow (which I suppose is the best considering other rooms), the room was a little bit expencive for thai standars but really nice and clean. Aircon ok. Need spray for insects. GREAT garden where you can walk on.. We didn't used the pool but nice. You can rent for a boat and visit Ao Nang (6 person 200 THB each one way) and they will come back to pick you up. On railay beach there is nothing to do but is nice to drink and talk setting on the beach... really romantic! West side is without dubts the best side. Breakfast and staff ok, nothing special.

Well what can i say choose another hotel, breakfast not good,the hotel just did not seem interested in doing anything for you, did not find the hotel people friendly.The rooms are nice we had a deluxe air-con and i know it is a reasonable priced hotel but never again also make sure you keep things locked up we made 1 mistake and paid the price also hotel did not seemed concerned with our loss just a shrug of the shoulders and that was it also have never stayed before at a hotel were they ask you not to put toilet paper down the toilet place it in the waste paper basket are they serious ?also have read this on other reports about the longtail guys holding you to ransome well thats true to go 15 minutes to AO NANG $1000BHT

Definitely not enough pool lounges to guests ratio caused a few problems. You known the syndrome - towel on the sunbed at 7.00 am and then a no show till mid morning . Breakfast OK. No alcohol served at this resort and other restaurants. Can bring in take away. Bungalows adequate, if a little over priced but it is a pretty isolated area.

excellent location with beautiful landscaped surrounding fronting a nice beach. Stayed at the deluxe a/c bungalow with good amenities and fixture settings. Friendly staff and prompt service as we had asked for extra towels and an air freshner and on both ocassion were delivered timely to the room. Thai food at the restaurant was good, breakfast was ok but it could ve been better with more varieties from the buffet (only 1 or 2 items were changed daily, the rest remain the same, so we got bored on our 3rd breakfast there). Would consider staying there again in future visit but probably would be staying in the slightly cheaper superior a/c bungalow as location wise is the same as with the deluxe's (we ve chosen the deluxe assuming that it'll be closer to the beach)

I stayed in a fan bungalow and although they look a bit shabby on the outside they are great. Although you would expect them to be for 1900 baht! King size bed, toiletries, minibar, chairs on the porch and great location. Room cleaned daily. Breakfast was pretty good too! Railay west is expensive so if you want something super cheap, stay on Ton Sai and just get a long tail boat over during the day. Apparently bungalows there are 100 - 500. Had a great stay at sand sea.

This hotel provides a clean room although nothing to fanciful. You get what you paid. We are given the room at the end of the resort, about 3 mins walk from the reception. Do get a room at the front or middle if you can. Our room is besides the common walkway where pple walk bwt Railey East and West, so we do get some noises esp st night. We did not encountered mosquitoes, so you do not need insect repellant. The food at the hotel is average at best, so we have our dinner at next hotel (I think it is called Railey Viallage Resort). The food there is better.

Booking service is excellent. Just a commnet that there should be a contact number given for airport transfer.

We had asked from adjoining rooms when we made our reservations for two fan bungalows but were not informed that only the a/c units are adjoined. I guess the correct word to use is connecting . So we were given 2 fan bungalows and since our children are ages 1,3,5 my husband and I had to split up, sleeping in separate bungalows for our vacation. That was a disappointment. The staff at the Sand Sea are not friendly or helpful in general, but there are a few pleasant employees. The resort pool was crowded during the day. Lots of families and young children. At night the resort is very quiet which was great since we had our windows open. Fan bungalows for families with small children not used to hot climates isn't the best option!

Reservation service:
I asked for adjoining rooms for my family and was not informed that they were not available. Instead we were given 2 separate bungalows so my husband and I had to split up between the two.
