Accommodation and facilities:
OK, maybe I was expecting a bit too much from this hotel... but the pictures on the website look amazing and it is in Koh Phi Phi, one of the most beautiful places I ve ever been. Well, first of all the beautiful pool is not on the beach like the picture shows... We got a sea view bungalow and the room was in a very poor conservation. The air con was leaking not only water, but also ice drops! The toilet flush was partially broken and the door to the lovely outdoor shower didn't close... so we had a fleet of moskitos inside the room. At night there are lots of night clubs on this beach playing super loud music, so it is impossible to sleep before 2am! For the breakfast you have to chose between a couple of options... we chose bread with eggs and ham... it was one slice of bread, 1 egg and half slice of ham! I ordered one pineapple juice (you have to pay for any extras) and it was tasting horrible...I asked the waitress to change it and guess what! She said that nobody had complained before, so the juice was fine and didn't want to give me my money back! Unbelievable! TOTALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The view was amazing and the pool was good but overall the rooms were very standard and no where near as good as others I ve stayed in for the same price. Only about 5-10 mins walk to everything u need but nothing is that far away cos the island is quite small. The breakfast was average. I wouldn't stay here again.

You will appreciate the location further from the noisy centre. Ask for the seaview bungalow at the hill. After quite a bit of hike you will be awarded by the amazing view on the beach and the ocean. Room was clean and bathroom was pretty spacious. Free pickup service at the port. Recommended!

We really enjoyed our visit at ViewPoint. Some steps up to our Bungalows but well worth it. It was an amazing view... I really wouldn't have missed it. The pool was really nice, also with an amazing view. Simple rooms but clean and comfortable. Nice staff and totally a great visit. I would absolutely stay at ViewPoint again if I come back.

No problems - Except - The location is great but severely effected by noise pollution from the many bars on the beach. I like to party but 4 AM is a little late for me, sorry. Authorities need to sort this befor Phi Phi goes Poo Poo...,

Tog superior room men inte så bra standard som vi hoppats. Men perfekt utsikt över stranden. Fick gå ca 100 m dit dock. Mycket hög ljudvolym från stranden! Hade öronoroppar, även våra tre tonårsdöttrar! Otrolig partystrand. Snål frukost men ok. Fin pool med perfekt läge. Phiphi är mest för ungdomar nuförtiden. Men vacker plats. Vi stannade 3 nätter och åkte på båtutflykter på dagarna. Beachen har lågvatten och känns varm o grumlig på dagen. Men hade en bra vistelse och kommer säkert återvända men till andra sidan ön som verkade lugnare.

This was my second stay at view point and as usual they did not disappoint. The location, views, and resort is beautiful for the money spent and more importantly the staff and service is friendly and great. The lady who helps with trips and travel plans is an 11 out of 10. She is always happy and friendly and is full of knowledge and goes out of her way to assist. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone on phi phi as long as u plan to be out past 11pm...

I went to Phi-Phi Viewpoint resort for 3 days with my girlfriend and 3 other friends 25 to 28 Dec 2011. The resort has the best location and view one could ask for. The rooms are really clean and nice for a very cheap price. The swimming pool is great with the best view. Breakfast is really small, 1 egg, 1 toast, 1 bacon and coffee, but better than expected for that price.Great accomodation on Phi-Phi thank you very much!!

The Room was ok but the bathroom was dirty and moldy and the same at the balcony. Breakfast was the most poor I ever have been served at a hotel,and the staff were not nice. It was really loud as there are several bars on Loh Dalum Bay that play loud ravish music starting at around 10pm until 2:30-4:30am. The thing is that the sound waves reflect off of the water and are heard LOUD and clear in the room. The actual location to restaurants and the view is really great though. Overall I really like this place but the late night music can hinder sleep if you are a lighter sleeper.

In all i nice bungalow complex with a nice pool overlooking the beach. Our room had a outdoor private shower with sea view in addition to the one inside, a nice touch to the otherwise fairly descent bungalow. NOTE: bring earplugs if you like to go to bed before 03:00, though the every night beach party no more than 200 meters away over the bay is very loud.

What an amazing place! We stayed in a Hillside Fan Bungalow Sea View and it was great. Clean and spacious bungalow with a very nice balcony and a breathtaking view! The bungalow was up on a little hill but it was a nice walk (5 mins from the beach) and a good morning exercise. Amazing swimming pool with great view over the bay. Two downsides: (i) loud music at night coming from the beach and (ii) breakfast not interesting at all, better get some snacks/drinks from the local shops and enjoy breakfast on the balcony. I d definitely go back!

The hotrl meet us at the pier collected our luggage and showed us the way. its a bit of a walk. very good location butifull surondings Nice personel. but the rooms are very poor for the price You pay we had seawiev delux. no real bathroom a very small toilet dificult to get in to, no real toilet paper just som silky tisue. the wash basin was in the main room. only one bedside lamp bedside tabels did not match. the television stand damaged by water. I would not go back to this hotel without a real make over of the rooms

The manager/owner is Chinese. Very rude man. We stayed in a beach front bungalow with an a/c that did not work properly and the manager said it seemed ok. We had it set to the coolest temp and was sweating all night. offered us another room but with a view of a big rock instead of the beach for the same price. not a very friendly hotel. All the water is bore water I think and salty.

Very nice room with a lovely view from the big and cozy balcony. The staff in the reception was very helpfull and friendly. The location was good with beach, shops, bars and restaurants near by. The negativ things about the hotel was the breakfast. It was very poor. The staff in the restaurant did not seemed to be so intressted in the guests. The water in the shower was burning hot and there was no cold water. The pool was very nice but the water could need a good cleaning. It was also a pitty that the bar or the minimarket not was open in day-time so you could not get any cold drink or something when you were sunbathing at the pool. If you re not so fuzzy this is a nice place to stay in. We will be back if we can.

Location is amazing, overcomes the lack of facilities and poor service. No safe deposit in the room and they charge to use the one at the front desk - actually charge fro each access ! Pool has an amaxing location and view but no umbrellas, pool bar closed the first night so no refreshments.

Very beatiful view from my bungalow at Phi PHi viewpoint. Bungalow was large, clean and comfortable. The shower had a leak so it took me 30 min to take a shower. The menu for breakfast was not interesting at all and safebox is not free and just in front of reception so not so safe as they see your deposit! Boys makeup were at reception!

This was by far our favourite hotel during our stay in Thailand - 4 so far. The view was spectacular and we would defy a 5 star hotel to be able to improve on the view over the bay! We chose a fan room which was a gorgeous bungalow on stilts with a big balcony. We has a TV and a fridge in our room. The showers although cold were quite refresshing a almost warm during the day because of the heat of the sun. There are no actual steps to the bungalows, just sloping paths. You will be a bit out of breath but it's only a 2 or 3 minute walk for the amazing view. (In fact I would say that fab rooms have a better view and are more private that the air-conditioned bungalows lower down.) Also very pretty gardens with lots of Bougainvilla and gardeners hard at work. The small negative is that you can hear a bit of music from the beach bars. But this hotel is located far away from the slightly mad centre of Phi Phi but is close enough to be convenient. Receptionist was very helpful with advice on walks round the island and we used the in-house travel agent Anita to book a snorkelling trip round PhiPhi Lay which was very good value at 450 bahts each by longtail boat. all in all, highly recommended and we will come back again.

The location of our fan room is just perfectly nice. We managed to see the beautiful sea. The breakfast was good too. There is a balcony for you to sit on laying chair and just relax and enjoy the beautiful scene. However, the room was not new and we felt the floor was not clean enough (a bit slippery and sticky). The tap water was a bit salty when we brushed teeth and bathed. Nevertheless, we like its independent building structure for our own privacy. For those who cannot hike too much, the fan room might not be appropriate as they were located highly. We would stay there again if we go again.

Incredible!!! I was skeptical when people were writing about the hike up from the beach. Our room was perfect, with a beautiful view of the water and the beach restaurants and clubs, and was 30 secs from the beach. Breakfast wasn't much, but again it was free so.. ;-) Service was great, rooms were clean. make sure u bring ur own shampoo though. Oh, and the infinity pool was FANTASTIC!!!

Good hotel, good room (fan bungalow+cold water), but staff is 50/50. Located some away from the village. Hotel have a big green&flowered territory from beach up to the hill. Our bungalow was in the middle of way to the hill. There is a great wiew! But for old people it could be difficult to go 3 minutes up to get this room. For us it was ok. Room was with fan and cold water, but we never switched on the fan at night, and at the day time it was ok. Water at the day was warm - good for shower, but not a big pressure. Room have a refrigerator, TV, free water every day and a big balcony with 3 chiars and table. Breakfast was included and good (a la carte) but you need to choose eggs or fruits - you can not take it together. Good staff and coffee. :) Swimmig pool is not deep (1.5meters) - we use it only once. But, I have a bad experience at this hotel. First evening we came, my beach shoes was stilled by somebody from steps of our bungalow (it was about 8 pm and we was in room at thus time!). One hour later, I tell about it the men on reception, but he said - it could not be and he has a bad english - so no result. :( 2 days after somebody from staff steel another pair of shoose from our bungalow (we was not at the room) and it was not cheap shoes. I go to reception again and women call to staff, who cleaned our room, but it was no result too. :( If not this 2 thefts the hotel was ok.

Upon arrival we were notified that our room wasn't ready and were upgraded to a family suite that was basic but clean (no phone or clock in room). The shower pressure was way too hard and there were two shower heads for hot and cold with a fidley temperature control. The included breakfast was basic but substantial. The location of the hotel is about a 5min walk from the main market/pub area whcich is good as the noise at night is extremely loud and we could hear it on one occasion but due to the position of our room it was bearable. The hotel affords a great view of the bay and the neighbouring islands. We asked if we could remain in the upgraded room and was told one cost and then charged more when we extended our stay. The staff had limited english and don't expect them to fall all over you, they do port your luggage to and from the warf which is a definate requirement. I was stupid enough to leave money in the room and on return back to Australia I found that over $500 was missing from my wallet - there is a possiblity it may have been taken at our hotel in Phuket, but I seriously doubt this as we stayed in a 4 star hotel and it is highly unlikely that the staff would risk their jobs (the maid even had a name card and photo in the room)plus there was extensive security. I will be notifing both hotels of this theft. All in all Phi Phi is more expensive than Phuket and I believe we paid too much for for what we got.

They rent very old rooms that ( Sea View AC) for more then 3000 !!! Baht. 6 Years ago they rent the same room for only 600 Baht. View is fantastic. But room is old fashioned, with moskitos - large but not worth the money. Every night you here very very nerving boom boom music from town from 9pm till 3am. Without earplugs you cannot stand it.

I had a bungalow. everything was OK. the room,pool,breakfast and cleaning. i had nothing to say until late evening, the hotel is located at the far end of the Lao Dalum beach, and in the middle of the beach you have IBIZA BAR! they start to play music around 7-8pm and stops around 3-4am. I could feel the bass in my doublebed all the time. and some songs my windows could chatter! If you are out all night and comes home VERY late this might be a good place to stay. And if you have a family, DONT stay at this hotel!!! I understand that the hotel cant be responible for the bar at the beach, but when you are on a vaccation you want a good night sleep! If you choose to stay, buy some good earplugs!

The bungalows were lovely! Very tidy and tropical-styled. We had a bungalo with a fan which was great! Really cheap and good. The pool outside was amazing!Phi Phi was breathtaking! Though there was no buffet breakfast in the hotel which was a pitty but the food served was still ok.We had to walk a bit up the hill to the bungalow, which was safe on the other hand in case of evacuation etc. The hotel charges for a reception deposit box which you get a key for and every time pay for reuse (around 0.50p-£1.The location is really good and from the bungalow you can see almost like from the viewpoint! really recommended for someone looking for a cheap stay!

We stayed in the smallest bungalows on the upper row. They have magnificent views and a big balcony, but inside they are very basic. The rooms have 3 beds, 1 double and 1 single, so although they are big and airy there is no space for a table to sit down and work at, and the upper area has no internet, only the reception and restaurant area. Breakfast is good value and includes juice, tea-coffe and a choice of different food from the menu (omelet and toast, ceral and fruit etc.) The pool area is located in a great spot, and the pool seems clean and well maintained. Sometimes crowded and a little small if you want to do some real swimming, as you have to turn after every five strokes. We had good experiences with the reception staff, but were a little put off by the room staff when they started throwing stones at a lovely, beautiful lizard on the wall of a bungalow... come on, get a life and even if you dont, respect the animals and dont make unneccessary noise!! In the nighttime, from around six, there is noise enough from the nearby bar, so dont expect to sleep until around 2 am when they turn down their horrible disco music with the loud bass that is just impossible to cope with for more than a week at least. All in all, a great place compared to most other accommodation when you take the price into account - if only it was not for the bar we would have stayed even longer, but sleep is a necessity for us - without it we dont get to explore the island.

The bungalows were in a good condition. Simple but okay. The Cleaning was alright, but my mirror in the bathroom wasn't cleaned on top since weeks. But the biggest problem was the discothek at the beach (Ibiza-Bar). The noise every night until 4 o clock in the morning is an unacceptable impertinence for paying customers. Because of the music it wasn't relaxing to use the nice balcony. I can not recommend to anybody to stay in this bungalows at the hill accept you want to have big eyerings. So 4 nights with just 3 hours sleep was not holiday, it was a torture. It's a big shame for such a nice island close to paradise. And the receptionists answer to get to the police by yourself is not that way you should solve problems.

Phi Phi Viewpoint is on the outskirts of the main part of Phi Phi Don and is therefore quite a walk from the Pier. However, they make up for the location with a beautiful view of the island from the bungalows which are situated on the hill. The bungalows are spacious with a balcony, but are mosquito infested so remember to bring some repellent. The pool is quite good, although small and there arent enough deck chairs and breakfast is also good. Overall a pleasant stay.

I would not recomend this hotel to other travllers. We were booked into thid hotel for 6 nights but checked out after only 2 and went back to Phuket instead. I had read a number of bad reviews prior to my stay here and had I not already paid in full for the stay then I would have made other arrangements. There were several reasons why we left early ; - The pool is very small and there are only 8 sun loungers around it, which get filled up very early. This would not be a prolem if the beach was good however the water is too shalow for swimming and at it's deepest only came up to my knees. Becuase of this when the tide goes out, it goes out for miles, so you are even unable to paddle unless you walk a long way. I here this beach and Ton Sai beach are theworst for swimming and Had I known this before I would have booked into a hotel on another beach. Also the first night in the hotel I was bitten 10 times on my face by either bed bugs or by some other insects which managed to get in via the gap in the patio doors. As other people have said the walk into town, although quite short, it is not very pretty as you have to pass lots of damage which has not been cleaned up by the tsunarmi. Ton Sai village is not very nice either, the streets are very narrow and full of back packer type bars which in an evening have their own touts who try to harras you into visiting their bar. This reminded me Magaluf rather than he paradise island I was expecting. In hindsight I would not have stayed on this island and would just have gone for one of the many day trips from Phuket, where at least I would hvae seen the nice sights instead of the horrible ones. If you want to spend time on a small island and are looking for paradise then Phi Phi isn't for you, and you should try one of the multitude of other Island that can be found in Thailand i.e. Surin Island or Similan Islands.

we was staying there for 5 days in a see view bungalow with the number v7. we was paying roundabout 2.300,- thb. the view was very nice and the room was realy big. sometimes the water in the bathroom was not clear. looks like a brown riverwater. but if we let it flow for a longer time it gets clearer and cleaner. the bedcovers were also not realy clean and wite. the stuff in the kitchen was smoking while he was cooking. at the pool we were missing some umbrellas for the sun.

This place was pretty great. It's a hike from the pier, but, if you locate the Viewpoint Staff that is waiting for you, they will take your bags for you. And they'll lead you through the town to your room. Viewpoint is located perfectly far enough away from town so that you don't have to hear loud music when you sleep. But, sometimes there's a beach party that may cause some noise, but it's not bad enough to keep you up. We thought the staff were very nice. There was a cool 0degreez pool with a good bar that served cocktails poolside. From the pool, you have a perfect view of the beach. Also, just down the road there's a really cool hangout called the Sunflower Bar. It's cheap drinks and food and pretty tasty. The only bad thing is that the path from town to the resort is poorly lit and badly paved. It's no problem if you bring a flashlight. We stayed in the Fan Bungalow. It's easily the best rooms in the hotel. Sure, there's no hot water, but you don't need it. With the location of these bungalows, you get lots of airflow so that you can stay cool very easy. These rooms have the best view on the island. Your balcony is your own private Sunset Viewpoint. You can stack your fridge full of cheap bears from town and have a great pre-party at your room watching the sunset. The Fan Bungalows are a small hike up the hill but they re worth it. They re private and have big beds. Also, the concierge at the hotel offers cheap travel and tours on and around the island. The people are all pretty helpful. The hotel breakfast is good too. Pretty slow and not very many smiles but it's good enough. I d give this place 5 out of 5. Location. Location. Location.

I think that this hotel is by far the most peaceful hotel on the island (not counting those hotels that are far away from everything). The staff are very helpful. The beach front room is very nice and worth it. And the pool has the most amazing view. I just hope that the path and construction between the hotel and the town will be done soon. It just a little hard to walk when it rains. But everything else is great.

we did not expect our hill view appartment to be a ten minute walk up an extremely steep slope. The fan offered no relief from the heat as it was incredibly weak. Barely saw the staff to be able to comment on their attitudes, but I did recieve food poisoning from this hotel's restaurant. Ko Phi Phi itself was a very big let down with beach party noise booming through our room every night. Beaches were filthy, not the paradise we had hoped for.

If you book a bungalow with fun, you will have a great view to the bay but... 1) the insects can get into the room easily via the holes of the mosquito net or under the doors. 2) you can not direct the fan as you want, it is fixed to the ceiling and turning around. 3) old and used stuff in the room, no way to put or hang your things and cloth... they do not invest to renew the bungalows. 4) no way to get a smile nor from the guy at the reception, neighter from the staff of the restaurant.
