quiet and beautiful location! Super if you want to stay away from the crowds. Don't go here if you want a buzzing nightlife scene... Room price is ok, but they charge you for everything else which makes it (too) expensive . Communication with guests could be better & more friendly too (if new guests arrive @ koh phi phi pier, the resort charges them for the transport to the resort, & tell this áfter the boattaxi arrives @ the resort...)There is nó other way to get there with luggage! (apart from the 1 hour jungle hike across the hill) . friendly restaurantstaff though, but limited menu for vegetarians.

Very beautiful place, very relaxing. If you stay in the top bungalow, be careful about your staff left outside .. everyday we had a guest ... a MONKEY enjoying her breakfast :)We stayed there 5 nights and we did the trips around. The staff should be little bit more polite, especially one pretty thai girl who tried to cheat on me, maybe to earn extra money :0) and she was very naughty. Guys at restaurant were wonderful, talkative, gave us advise etc. Sure if I go back to Phi Phi I would stay here again, mainly for the cool bungalows, sea (at Tonsai there are too many people so a bit dirty. I would recommend to the Beach resort to have a little kitchen for people where we can boil e.g. hot water any time we wanted. We asked them for hot water for my own herb tea and it was pretty problem....obviously I am not paying to the restaurant.

Very bad surprise. The hotel seemed to be located in a pure paradise but it turned into hell! Such a bad service, employees don't care about you and just ask all day long your room number, room number even for a question on touristic spots on the island. It is very difficult to come back to the hotel once you reach Tonsai. One night we had to book another hotel in Tonsai cause the manager didn't want to send a boat to pick us at the port.. He was so rude! I heard that a mother had no choice to end-up in a hooker hotel with his son for one night... They are absolutely unforgettable. I highly recommend you to avoid this hotel even if the beach is nice. Moreover all drinks foods and other additional services are very expensive (x2 or x3 compared to Tonsai).

Pp relax is a cool place that helps to relax outside tonsai. The bungalow was clean and beds are comfortable. Phak nam is a good location to make half day trip to bamboo and mosquito Islands, the staff is very welcoming and for french people who can't speak English, ask for Nicolas. If you want the bars and nightlife in Tonsai, better not go to Phi Phi relax because the transport can be expensive with the long tail boats.

Will not stay again. All of the comments posted below are entirely accurate. I don't know what I was expecting being dropped off on a remote beach but we really were bored out of our minds for the 2 full days we stayed here. Would be a good place for finishing a novel. No AC, no power in the day (which means no fan running), cold showers, few activities, somewhat unhelpful staff, horribly night sleep. Not a great experience for us, who enjoy keeping busy during our holidays.

The worst resort I´ve been. I paid for 4 nights in a Coral Beach Bungalow and only slept one night how bad it was. The resort only has electricity from 6 pm to 6 am. The bungalow had no TV, no air conditioning, no fan. Low wifi and only in the reception. And no free. The bed had many fleas. I saw other guests suffer same like us with the fleas. No warm water in the toilet. And the people can look at you when you stay inside toilet. You listen everything from your neighbors. The Bungalows are only separated by two meters. You can not leave the resort, to visit places, by walk or by car. Only by boat and you must paid much money to visit other places. Next to the beach live the employees in poor houses without electricity. They use batteries and when batteries finish throw it to the sea. I could sea more 100 batteries in the rock´s sea. You can see a lot of fishes and craws die about the batteries. Incredible!! When we leave the hotel the next day from arrive the responsible employee didn´t ask anything about what happened. We didn´t mind lost 3 nights. I think all the money you paid is 100 % profit for them. Don´t spend anything with the guests. You can be sure that you can find much better hotels in Phi Phi Islands and much more cheaper. We find it. This resort is the worst choice.

Beautiful resort, but worst management ever. The staff is very unfriendly and never smile or say something friendly. Good morning or How are you is too much trouble for them. Two nasty situations we endured during our stay: FOODPOISONING: One hour after dinner at their beautiful restaurant, 3 of us got the worst foodpoisoning ever. Next day (checkout day, without any sleep (diarrhea and vomitting)) I informed management about this. They didn't care. They were only urging me to leave our two bungalows at 11am. When I paid our food&dinner bill in the restaurant for the last 5 days (20.000 Bath) I told the lady that I didn't want to pay for last nights dinner since it was poisoning. She called management and he got mad and started shouting that we were the only ones in the whole resort and that it was impossible we got food poisoning from their food. We didn't go anywhere else for the last 48hours and breakfast that day was a fruitmix. So I m 100% sure it came from their food. Afterwards I spoke to some pale looking people at the resort and found out more people got foodpoisoning the night before after eating various dishes. So the manager lied to me (those sick guests also told management that same morning, so he was aware of this) We did get some expired medicine from the staff though ;) NO SERVICE: we booked two standard bungalows: one double for me and my girlfriend (1900Bath) and one twin for two friends (1800Bath). The double one was awfull, small and very dark with big gaps in the walls. One night we found a spider in our bed (size of your fist including legs) and asked management next day if it was possible to change bungalows. This was not possible since they were fully booked. This is not true since other standard bungalows were empty the next couple of days. She was just too lazy to help us out and laughed at me for this request. The twin (cheaper) bungalow of our friends was much nicer, bigger, with solid walls and glass windows. We had to spend our last two night at their place since my afraid-of-very-big-spiders-girlfriend didn't want to stay in our bungalow anymore (me neither ;)). BTW we used the mosquitto-net, but the spider found an entrance anyway. During our whole stay we really got annoyed with the unfriendly moody staf. One guy is great though. His name is Tuna without the a , something like Tun. Find him!  Or better: don't go here untill the management and staff get renewed!

Reservation service:
My contact of SiamWebHosting made a big calculating mistake. The rates are per room. She send an invoice using the hotelrates as price per person, per night instead of per room, per night.

Overall it was a great place to stay, would definately recommend Phi Phi Relax for those looking for a relaxing getaway. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, really helpful booking services if you re wanting to arrange any further hotels/transport/excursions. The room (Relax Double Bungalow) was perfect for what we wanted - simple, clean, quiet and bigger than we d expected! The cold water showers were actualy a welcome relief from the heat, and the lack of electricity in the daytime wasn't a problem (we were on the beautiful beach all day!). The only thing that perhaps could have improved our stay was air conditioning, the fans in the room are great most of the time, however, during the night when the mosquito net is down you can't really feel the full benefit of the fans! (Although we did know this would be the case when we booked and it certainly wouldn't put us off going again!) The resturant was nice, tried a variety of dishes which were all really fresh and tasty. The prices for food weren't as cheap as other places, but still reasonable. Good selection of drinks. The beach is more of a natural rugged beach, lined with lots of trees and rocks. We re not into water activities but apparently it's good for snorkelling. During the time we stayed (July) it was very quiet, we stayed for 7 days, probably wouldn't stay longer than that due to the lack of air conditioning. But definately a great place to stay if you want to see Koh Phi Phi and neighbouring islands away from the hussle and bussle of the main town/pier area.

Reservation service:
Booking process was prompt and very straight forward. Found pre-payment for accomodation suited us better, nice to know it's all taken care of before the trip.

spent in the hotel two nights from 6th through 8th march. stayed in a relaxing bungalow with a fan (1800 BHT/day). wooden and a very cosy one. 1) very nice place , secluded and quite. only 2 min from the beach and you can enjoy snorkelling in the limpid and emerald water of Andaman sea!! a lot of fish and corals. also can meet urchins, about 50 meters from the beach , be careful and dont step on them. we were told to bring repellents but there was not any mosquito. you can rent a mask for 50 BHT/day, no fins are available. recommend to rent a canoe (we took the one for the whole day for special price 600 BHT) and took just a fascinating trip around the north half of Island. There is a message service, cant tell more since we didnt use it. 2) The staff was VERY friendly and ready to help you! after two days we wanted to prolong our booking , but the hotel was totally booked , the lady at the reception (its a pity we dont know her name ) was so kind and helped us with another hotel ,not far from this place and we spent there another 3 unforgettable days. 3) Rastaurant was alright ,they provide both Thai and Europenian food. Good options for Breakfast, there were Thai and American breakfast or you can choose something from the main menu (the breakfast was not included in the room price). Omelette with vegetable and cheese was very tasty. 4)Internet and WiFi are available from 6pm to 11 pm at the reception for rather reasonable price 5) you should be aware that: electricity is available from 6 pm to morning; the cleaning in the rooms is not daily but every two days from your arrival; show water can be a bit salty. BUT all these things were just minor and actually we didnt take care of them. we did enjoy our staying at PP Relax Beach Resort and will recommend you!!

The beach and snorkeling off the beach was wonderful, a lot of corals and all sort of fishes . Some of the small and vicious dared to bite me, which I m sure they regreted afterwards. A lot of longtail boat traffic right accross the corals and swimming area was at times annoying. The resort trips were very reasonably priced and went to good locations. The restaurant was reasonably priced with good Thai food though the Seafood selection and preparation were a disappointment. The staff was kind of indifferent led by the example of the on site management. Be forewarned there are plenty of mosquitos in the bungalows. Bring a good repellant. And the bungalow shower water is brackish and not heated which is not that big of a deal for unspoiled travelers ready for adventure. Speaking of which, be sure to take a hike through the jungles to Ton Sai Bay. The hike takes about an hour and you'll be rewarded with a wonderba view. Hike back from Ton Sai is more difficult and is, sort of, test for fitness. Nice romantic place but no go back for me :)

the hotel is really relax , everyday stay on the beach, looking those fish and seafood in sea, very funny life. not expense food, not expensive massage, very relax life. The staff are very nice and willing to tell a lot of tips. While the room is quite terriable, no electricity until 18:00, no TV, and need bath with sea water... but maybe that is what's called relax. It is still a nice place

Bungalow was ocean view but ocean was barely visible through the first line bungalows. Anyway, bungalow was roomy, clean and cozy, had 2 fans and mosquito net (very useful in the area). Anyway, having A/Cs would be highly desirable as it was very hot during nights. Water in the shower was a bit salty and cold, but at least not stinky. Surrounding is very clean and cozy, lots of floral, quite long and scenic beach. Ton Sai village can be reached by walk in 40 mins through the mountainous woods, but its quite exhaustive. Cozy and quite big restaurant right on the beach. Nice surprise - boat was waiting to pick up us from the main port although we did not order it. Although it was not for free but it was a lot cheaper then taking a taxi boat.

Its a great place but I decided to inform the lady at reception in a nice way that alot of the guests I spoke to was unaware that they have to pay for the longtail boat between the pier and the resort on arrival and departure. Even though its not a huge amount it does leave a sour taste in ones mouth. I also work in the tourist industry and wanted to advise the lady that it might be in the resorts best interest to rather include it in the room rate. I was then treated in quite a rude manner and she even went to the restaurant to make sure Ive payd for the longtailboat on departure which I did but due to a misunderstanding between her and the lady in the restaurant it didnt show and she came straight to me to repremand me in yet again a rude manner.............Is this really worth the 300 Baht?????

I ´don´t recommend this hotel. It is too exspensive for the standard that they provide. Half the price and it would be okey. We had a reservation for five nights but we checked out after two. We were very dissapointed with the hotel and the location. There were nowhere mentioned in the add for the hotel that there was only cold water in the shower and electricity only from 6 pm until 3 am. Because of the hotels location you have to go by longtailboat if you want to go into town .(It´s a one our walk) These boats are not available after dark so you have to stay at the hotel and eat at their restaurant. They were not really interested in us as guests, more of our money. Before you even got to order they asked for the number of the room. We had a feeling of mistrust. The beach is ok but because of the corals in the water it is almost impossible to take a swim without cutting yourself. The bungalow seemed ok at the first glance. Very cosy with mosquito nets over the beds. When I went to bed the first night I had to remove rat poo from the sheets.

Paradise found! Pipi Relax Hotel is an authentic place to scape from the world and just relax. Wonderful location at the north side of the island, in front of the coral reef and in front of the beach, behind you, just the jungle. The staff is very kind and helpful, they always try to give you what you need. The bungalow are quite good and extremely clean with no mosquitos, beachfront bungalows are a must but no hot shower. The restaurant is really good, a wide offer of continetal and thai cuisine with an affordable price. The best came at night, with the specialities they offer, fish from the island and good seafood. They also have special day trips and half day trips aroun Ko Pipi islands, kayak and internet. I would repeat again!

WONDERFUL resort. Perfect match with the name. We liked this one the best of our total 4 weeks stay in Thailand, although the facilities were the most basic of all the ones we stayed in. Great snorkeling from the beach. Very friendly staff. Special thanks to Chuk who showed us where the anemone clown fishes were and treated our sons foot when he stepped on a sea-urchin. We didn´t feel the food was too expensive, as I read in other reviews.

Really a quiet, nice and beautiful place on PhiPhiDon, deserving the name Relax Beach . We enjoyed ourselves hanging out, having good Thai food, beautiful swimming and snorkeling at the beach. The only bad thing was that we had to leave after only three days again. We had a beachfront bungalow with fan, which was nice and tidy. We recommend having some DEED-containing mosquito blocker, otherwise those can be a plague. We can only recommend this hotel, its remarkably friendly staff and good facilities. 9.5 of 10 points!

Accommodation and facilities:
Both me and my husband did not stay the intended stay at Phi Phi Relax Beach Resort, we ended up leaving after our first nights stay. The resort was nice looking from about 100 feet out to sea, and we were excited. Although that excitement left quite fast as we first noticed that the beach was quite rocky and definitley not as the pictures on there website had shown. We were quite pushed into checking in, we had met a nice couple on the beach and the staff interuppted our nice conversation to tell us we needed to go to the office. I think they should of definitely let us do it in our own time. The man who seemed in charge was decent, although a little pushy. He told us they do not run the power in the day time, and that is what really threw us the loop. The website never mentioned this, and we find it important to run our computer etc. We had booked the most expensive room, and internet was included, but not for everyone else, which I think is bad. Also for the price we were paying it wasn't worth it. The power off, no coffee pot as advertised, only cold shower, bathroom smelly, mosquito net unhelpful. One thing we did enjoy was the restraunt food and staff, they were very nice and I would go there to eat again. The resort was also quite aways away, and the hotel does not include the longtail boat transfer which is about 20 minutes in your booking cost. They charge you and additional 150 baht per person, which again should be included. Our booked room also included a complimentary massage daily, which I did. I though it quite funny as they only have one massage-woman and two beds. Anyway, the lady was truly lovely but the whole hour felt like a sandpaper massage, I think she needs some pampering for her hands. Working all day massaging with oils doesn't seem to keep a persons hands smooth. I almost had to stop. We booked into another hotel for our second night on Phi phi which was 1/3 the price and we enjoyed it much better. I am sorry but I cannot recommend this resort. Possibly for an elderly couple who do not want much noise, pampering, or a good swimming or snorkelling area. :(

Reservation service:
I very much enjoyed the booking process it was simple easy and I would do it again. Thank you.

This hotel I think is very good if you want to live simpel and just relax. The beach and the nature around it is very nice. And the food was great. The staff also was very nice and helpfull. But if you want to get in to town you have to take a loangboat and that can cost you betwen 200-800 bath, depans on when you want to go. The problems we had with it was the heat in the night (no aircon) and most the mosquitos. We left one day earlier becous of them. But I dont regret that we went there. We got a C48 Coral Beach bungalow which has the best location to my mind. Our friend stayed at Garden View and it was very basic. I wouldn't stay there. Food's great but pricey. We spent 5000 THB for 3 days for 2 people. Unfortunately, we re too active people and missed the chance to relax. If I could, I would stay longer.

Phi Phi Relax Beach Resort

Accommodation and facilities:

The hotel is great, just know what you re looking for in a resort. This place is pure tranquility and relaxation and you are definitely stuck there unless you take a hike or an outrageously priced taxi (600 baht stated price). But, for a few days, this is just what you need for an island vacation. Ocean View room was gorgeous, no problem with mosquitoes. Food was delicious and the staff was very accommodating for a romantic escape. Decent snorkeling and the hike through the jungle to the view point and city was a fun excursion, though not for the faint of heart (or lungs). We also stayed in Tonsai Bay in the city and absolutely hated it b/c of all the noise and nonstop party action Phi Phi has become. Wished we had booked more nights at the quiet Relax Beach instead.

When i originally booked this hotel i was a little nervous about going as the reviews i read were mixed. I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and wish it could have been 3 weeks, this resort is faultless. We booked a beach front room and the rooms were stunning. The windows open up to the beach and you have the most amazing view of the sea. Use the mosquito net as i got bitten a few time while i was here although my partner didnt get bitten once. The food was tasty and the staff overall were very polite and helpful. Although there were children staying at this resort the beach is big enough to get away from them if you want a quiet stay. Will definately be returning.

Once in a lifetime hotels name and reality match. This place is all about relaxing. Some people might say this place is little spartan, nothing unnecesseary in the rooms, just fan, beds, bathroom and above all beatiful beach just a stonethrow away. Restaurant is ok, service could have been little more efficient. They have interesting paying system, just say room number and pay later. Of course it's easy since you won't have carry wallet around all the time. But it also causes disturbanses for example two packs of cigarettes almost cost 800 Baht. PhiPhi main village is pretty far away, 0,5 hours by longtailboat or 1 hour walking through the jungle. From my point of view it's not such a bad thing, small village full of twenty-something yuppies... I strongly recomend this resort for you if you re looking for really relaxing holidays. Suitable for parents with children also, for my amusement about 40% visitors seemed to be travelling with children

Accommodation and facilities:
What a beautiful place! It was our honeymoon and I couldn't think of a nicer place to be. We took a boat ride all around KohPhiPhi and from outside appearances the Relax resort by far looked the best, not to mention with cabins closest to the beach. Prices were expensive for cocktails (200-250 baht, beers were 70-80 baht), but were always beautifully presented (the bar staff turn them into artworks). Food was reasonably priced and actually really really good. We stayed for 4 nights and wished we could stay for more. A great place if you have the budget - unlike the rest of thailiand - KohPhiPhi is quite expensive (similar to what you d pay in Australia). But can't wait to go back there. The staff were really nice and helpful, plus a big shout out to the boys (neung, Soz, Num, Andrew) who sorted everything out and were the best hosts possible.

What a great place. Quiet. Great for a good love life. We are a senior couple, the stairs on our original unit was too difficult for my wife to manage, so we up graded to a more access friendly unit on the beach. WOW! Did not mind cold showers. Bathroom was couple friendly. Mattress was comfortable. Misquito netting is a nice touch and keeps the nights comfortable. Sure beats camping in a tent. Front verandah was private with a couple of towels. Massages at the spa were terrific. Thai food was great. A lot of coral in the water. Good for snorklers. A great place to return to if you enjoy basic and have a great partnership. It is that dream shack on the beach! Though it may not be for everyone.

I am not sure whether it was the snake in our bathroom or the rat that ate my backpack that got me on the wrong side of this accomadation. I am well travelled and i understand these things happen in a jungle setting. What i really didn't like about Relax resort was its focus on the Thai bhat and how expensive food and drink is. Management is well aware of its captive market and so expect prices to be double that of Ton Sai for what is fairly average cooking anyway. I understand it may cost a bit more to ferry food in by longtail boat but when your making thousands of baht daily charging people taxi fare for the longtail boat trips anyway....Cmon!

We spent 2 nights at Phi Phi Relax Resort. The beach and facilities were great. There were a couple of comments from our family of 5. All of us found the silk top sheet provided for the beds really uncomfortable. We would have slept much better if we had had cottong top sheets. We understand the limitations of the sewerage facility there but if they could get to the stage that toilet paper can be flushed down the toilets it would be far more pleasant. They only other thing was that they turn the power off in the early hours of the morning. Whilst we understand the requirement to save on power it means that the fans in the rooms go off and it gets very hot. Those were our constructive comments. We loved the atmosphere and the staff were fantastic. The food was great and our time there was very enjoyable. We had 3 teenagers with us, (19,17,14) and for them it was too far from the noise and partying to have stayed any longer. However, I consider that an advantage!! Thanks Melissa Fairbairn

Food and location where really good. Excellent snorkling just off the beach. Staff where very unfriendly. Only cold showers in the most expensive rooms. No Aircon available. Power only available for a small part of the night. Food and drink alot more expensive than in tonsai. Only way out of phi phi relax is by long boat, min 150bht. Walk in to town really nice but strenuous, takes about 45min.

If you want isolation and adventure, this is the place. This is not a top resort, but it is located at a beautiful beach, reachable by longtail boat from the main pier (you will not want to take the trail through the jungle carrying your luggage). Nice manager and staff. The only remarks: no electricity during daytime, no credit cards accepted, no hot water in the bathroom.

Lot of things they don't tell you besides being beautiful bungalows in a stunning setting. The resort is the only one on this beach, no contact to the town other than paying for a longtail boat transfer (awesome staff running these) or by climbing a vertical hill behind the bungalows. Hectic! The food and drink is very expensive here especially the cocktails(which are very beautifully made). No mention was made that they switch the electricity off between 5am and 6pm so no fan or lights!! Our bathroom was disgusting!! Cement floor, toilet didn't flush & they only collected your used toilet paper every 2nd day(not allowed to throw in toilet). Lots of mosquitos which the mosquito nets fail to keep out. Bungalow very disapointing. Beach very rocky and swimmimg was difficult. Waiters very friendly but manangement staff very rude. Too many kids for a place that's called Relax Beach! We did enjoy the little rest we got & the picturesque scenery.

The resort has been enlarged since november 2008 from 15 to 40 bungalows, but the friendly family atmosphere is still alive! I wonder how long it can stay like this. No matcho-thing here. We spent a wondeful 8 days with two children of one and three, and the remote situation didn't bore us at all. Plenty of possibilities to go out with several long tail boats. The trees give natural shadows on the beach in sunny afternoons. The food wasn't top end, the recent enlargment culd be the cause. The big wooden chairs in the restaurant are a bit unhandy. A little bit help of an interior designer could give the place more warmth. But in the end a wonderful place!

We had a great time at the resort - nice to be away from the bustling crowds in Ton Sai, but close enough to pop in for a morning/afternoon. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. 4 days was definitely enough time there; perfect for relaxing with a book, playing some beach bats, exploring the nearby islands and getting some casual fishing done. Only thing that would have made our stay better was a hot-water shower!

My girl and I spent two nights at this resort and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Even though the weather was not all that great, our stay was made more enjoyable by Andrew and his friendly staff. Excellent food and drinks. If you are looking for a place to just sit back and soak up the peace and quiet then this is definitely the place to be. Was a great change from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas. You don't have all the modern luxuries (hot water, air conditioning etc) like the bigger and fancier resorts, but if you read the reviews you will know what to expect when you get there. Only negative side was the new bungalow we stayed in had some toilet plumbing problems but Andrew and his staff went out of there way to try and fix the problem. Will be planning another trip to Thailand in a couple of years and will definitely make this resort a part of the itinerary. Congratulations to Andrew and his staff on running a small touch of paradise. See you in a couple of years.

What a fabulous place! The location is perfect. I loved it and would love to come back some day. The staff is extremely welcoming and make every effort to help you. The food is fantastic. I enjoyed the hike over the mountain to Ton Sai Beach and snorkeling straight from Phak Nam Bay. The only suggestion I have is to include the cost of the transfer from the ferry and back (charge the same, just put into the room cost). Thank you for everything!

This was the highlight of our stay in Thailand. Great snorkeling, swimming and laxing, friendly happy staff,(many thanks to Manager Andrew and our waitress Juk, for whom nothing was to much trouble, also all the others, lovely lovely people) Good food,(reasonably priced with plenty of choice but unless you have your own snack food and drink or make the 45 min pituresque hike to Ton sei, you have to eat and drink from the resorts menu) Quaint Thai style cottages on stilts (clean and comfortable, bed and bathroom only) right on the pretty much deserted white sandy beach, absolutely wonderful, back to basics though,no power during the day, limited power at night, enough to run the small fan but not enough light to read by when mosquito nets pulled,( plenty of light, company, and internet service in the dining area) Cold water only, (no big deal as mostly its hot) Advertised massage unavailable (may have been because of the off season) The above are only comments so that travelers know what to expect, they do not detract from this gorgeous place, I hope it stays just as it is, pretty and unspoilt, not too many people, no Tuk Tuks and no shops. We will go back and have already recommended it to many of our friends.

Accommodation and facilities:
The service is ok, clean huts only they are only cleaned every other day. Some huts at the beachfront have trees in front of them..no view of the sea. The thaifood is nice but some dishes are adapted to tourists. I have never gotten fish filets for a dish that normally consists of a whole fried fish (Plaa saam rod). The staff and the owner are friendly but he's a bit to much focused on making money. When people were using the internet service he got online himself as well which slowed down the connection even more.. But better stay at this resort than on the other side of the island which is inhabited by jaded thai people. They re only nice because they want to make money.. if you turn them down they say nasty things (in thai). The walk through the jungle is nice but you have to keep up the pace because of the moskito s. Once you get over the hill you are invited by rubbish and shamefull shacks. Tourism has both ruined the atmosphere and the mentality of the people (at tonsai bay). Prices on the whole island are doubled up to 500% in some occasions. I bought a bottle of water for 30 baht which normally costs 7 baht. Ok, they have to make up for transfer costs ofcourse but this makes no sense. Overall my stay was ok but noth worth staying longer than 3 days, at night there is power but only untill 0400 or so and your fan will stop, enjoy the heat. People start to work at 0600 and boats will run also at that time, at the beachfront you will notice. So better go sleep early, you will be woken up. Better take one of the huts at the hillside or garden, forget about the seaview. They are building more huts, i m afraid this will become a crowded place as well. In 15 years of travelling to thailand, phi phi has become one of the worst places i have ever seen. Will never go again, execpt for diving there.

The hotel is very rustic, but very picturesque. The room is basic, so if you re looking for a 5-star resort this isn't the place for you. The bathrooms are not a selling point, but they work. There's NO hot water, so make sure you have your shower when you re reasonable warm. During high tide tide the beach is stunning. It is truly something out of a movie. Durning low tide the beach isn't so pretty, but luckily the majority of the day is high tide. The staff and the other guests are what make this resort awesome!! The staff make an effort to learn your names and are very friendly. The restaurant has a variety of food (Western and Thai) and it is all delicious! It's a little more pricery than in town, but it's totally worth it. Make sure to try their shakes! Overall, if you re looking for a nice place to relax and do just about nothing else, then Phi Phi Relax Beach Resort is the place to go!

Expensive for what you get. Okay this is a quiet beach, but nothing more than four walls... Electricity not before 6pm, no warm shower, breakfast not included (and very expensive!!)... This is NOT a resort... We stayed three night and they never changed the (dirty) sheets... An advice : choose this place only if you plan to stay there for sun bath. People who stayed there were very friendly by the way. Lot of French and Scandinavian travellers. They made a mistake in the check out. They ask to pay the last night twice. Be careful of your bill!

We have just come back from our trip to Thailand, during which we stayed at the Relax Beach resort for 3 nights. We had an amazing time. The bungalows are basic, this means there is no hot showers or flush toilets, however none of this matters because you really are in paradise. Our beach bungalow was exactly that, right on the beach. You have to get a long tail boat to get to the the resort, this means you have to pay to get a boat to visit the other islands and the main town during the day. In the night you basically stay at the resort, so be prepared to have all your meals on the resort. They only take cash too! Do not come if you want to party, but if you want to relax, this is perfect! The hotel is locally run and the staff are all friendly, be prepared to wait for food though and don't be too worried if your food gets mixed up too!!! The resort is expanding and we are not sure if this will ruin it a bit, as the greatness of this place was the fact that there were not many tourists and there was enough beach to go around! Having said all this if you are laid back and want to relax then Phi Phi Relax resort is for you! If you want five star luxury or to party go somewhere else!!!

Awsome Away from the hustle and bustle of Tonsai Bay where its full of other tourists spoiling the very thing you went there to see. This place is VERY relaxing minus the hike to Tonsai but nice scenery along the way. When they say the hike is 1hour for a grandmother, they forget to mention thats its for an eventual grandmother and she's still in her 20's and in prime shape. Awsome snorkling area.

I thought I would be able to pay for the entire reservation via my credit card. Should say somewhere that the rest has to be paid in cash. I had to hike to tonsai because I used my spending money for the hotel and I had to go exchange currencies. aside from that it was good.
