Accommodation and facilities:
Värsta hotellet på resan! Hoppas inte att vi fick en nyrenoverad bungalow för den var sliten, ful och bjöd inget på något extra. Vi bad om både hårfön och vattenkokare för att kunna göra mat till vår bebis men de kunde inte ge os något av det. Vattenkokare kunde vi få om vi betalde 500 bath! Restaurangen var ett skämt. Dålig service. De glömde bort vår sons pannkaka och när den väl kom var glassen till slut, trots det fick vi betala lika mycket. Otrevliga och nonchalanta servitörer. Poolen var fin men det fanns inte skugga nånstanns på hela anläggningen för oss med med små barn. Hela poolområdet stank bajs från toaletterna. Det var så äckligt att vi inte klarade av att vara där. Vi lämnade efter två dagar, trots att vi skulle vara där fyra. Vi klarade inte av stället och då har vi ändå bott budget och var vana med billiga hotell.

Nakara Long Beach Resort is a very good location. We stayed there from feb.10-15. The room was great, had just been renovated and was a very nice room with a great balcany! The breakfast that was included in the price has a lot to be desired, not very good at all. Very poor choices and not very fresh. We ended up going elsewhere. There is no coffee pot in the room so you have to get coffee in the restaurant and you are not allowed to bring back to your room. Once you leave the breakfast area you cannot go back in. It is a very nice resort however the management our very cheap and nickel and dime you to death. Overall if you can get past the cheapness of the resort and just relax and enjoy your beautiful surroundings, then all is okay. We had a very nice time, we just did not let the little things get to us!

When we arrived the Resort in the morning we were allowed to check in hours before normal time :) A nice and quiet place with bungalows from 10 to 150 mtrs from a beautiful and quiet beach. Some of the bungalows are newly renovated and others are not. We stayed in one of the latter and cheapest, standard bungalows. It was clean and more than good enough for us and our nearly 3 yrs old son. It was the bathroom that suffered a bit. The wallpaint was somewhat rare and all the water from the shower didn't drain properly, but everything was cleaned by the staff each day. The pools and area were nice and clean, good and cheap food, both free and payable Wi-Fi in lobby, nice and helpful staff. The bar and restaurant was nice, but they could have been more structured when ordering and delivering the food and drinks. The first day we were amazed by how they managed to be so unstructured, but it got much better during our stay. If so happens, just take it with a smile. You re on vacation :) Thanks to Le, Anisa and Joy in the bar, Mo in the restaurant, the chef and the other staff :) We will certainly consider this Resort next time. Maybe we will afford to book a De Luxe or Superior bungalow, without it being really necessary.

We had a great vacation at Nakara. We stayed in a standard bungalow with our two kids (1 and 4 yrs) and were very satisfied with the room (had one double bed, one single and a baby cot). The pool area was good, and included a big pool for children. The location of the hotel was superb (situated by the sea). The breakfast was great, offered different kinds of bread, egg, fruit, yoghurt etc. The restaurant was also good with friendly staff. Free wi-fi was offered in the lobby (in Phuket it costs 100B/hour).

I loved this resort. I d been on a lower budget for the earlier part of my trip, so this was a welcome break from that! There was the occasional russle of rats in the ceiling!!!! But as long as they stayed up there it was ok! The room was nice with a decking area, safe, shower was powerful enough, tv, mini bar etc. Nice little paths running between the bungalows. Lovely pool(s) and the beach is beautiful. Great for swimming etc. Nice deck chairs on the beach with (only slightly aged) umbrellas. I only bothered with breakfast one of the days. It was okay - a bit disorganised but I had turned up towards the end of b fast time, so that may be why. Reception v helpful - I booked a trip from there & was collected by boat just out the front of the resort. Also booked my onward travel from there too, which was perfect.

I don't know whether it was my error or not (poss put that there were 2 people, not 1???) but the total cost was almost twice more than I had thought it quoted me. In the end, it was a lovely place, so it was worth going a bit over budget.

The bungalows was not very good. It rains through the roof in some of the bungalows and it was open space between the door and the wall. Much mosquitos in the area. The staff was very nice and the beach was beautiful with nice restaurants and bars at the beach. Short way into Saladan where it was shopping and restaurants. Nice place.

Hotel is only a litlle 3 star, but it has a wonderful placement at the Beach. The morning Restaurant is awfully, but rest of the Day the Restaurnt is very good & reasonable , strange ? I will not describe the Room, because the Hotel, first gave us an unrenovated Room, although we were promised a renovated Romm ! SiameServices helped us to get another, much better. Do not ordered if You not are garanted a renovated Room.

We had booked superiour bungalow. They were dirty (very bad cleaned)and needed to be renovated. After one night we upgraded för the luxury bungalows and it was so much better without costing to much. They were not as old as the superiour ones. Well worth the extra money! Still the cleaning could be a little better. The breakfast was ok but not very much to choose. The beach and the water was nice but there were bad sunchairs and parasol. We stayed moustly all the time at the pool that was very nice. The location was good.

Ordinary resort, ordinary bungalows. Staff was using the free internet connection to download torrents, which slowed down the connection considerably for the guests. The restaurant had awful service. Extremely slow, forgot what you ordered. When the food at last showed up it was not what you ordered in the first place. Most of the time it was nothing but chaos! Really bad. Very good location though.

We had an beach bungalow for two weeks. When we arrive the room was clean but in the two weeks of our residence they didn't clean realy. In exception of the rezeption the service is terrible. The service at the restauant have not so much work but they were to lazy to collect the empty bottles from the beach or pool... so the facility is dirty!

Mycket trevligt på long beach resort. bodde i den största beach bungalowen med utsikt över hela stranden.2 vuxna 2 barn 6,8 år. mysiga billiga resturanghyddor längs stranden.även hotellets priser var ok på mat och dryck.andra hotell längs stranden var mkt dyrare på mat. bra pool för både vuxna och barn. totalt 3 st pooler. 1 för vuxna lite avsides som ville ha lungnt enl skyllten adult only . åker gärna tillbaka hit!!

Not so satisfied. To big and crowded hotel to get cosy. Nice rooms though, but the cleaning left more to wish for. Better places to eat on both sides of the hotel. Not very good service, especially in the restaurant wich was very slow and overprized! Broken umbrellas and sunbeds on the beach. Very much families and first time visitors! If You want to stay at Long Beach, I recommend choosing a smaller place north of Nakara.

We was upgraded to luxury bungalow and it was very nice and big enough for three persons with a terasse and 50 meters from the beach. There are bungalows with sea wiev on the resort. The breakfast was not the best but you can find restaurants close to the resort which serving better breakfast. The price for the bungalows are a little to much but you are paying for the nice location.

We were pleased to hear that we have been upgraded and as we arrived to the rooms we have received a beutiful Villa with connecting doors between the 2 rooms. It was really perfect for us. The staff were very friendly and the hotel is very good situated at the beach. It is very calm at the end of Long beach. With easy access to Saladan, 130 bath for the 4 of us.

Our stay was delightful. We have been to many sea-side resorts in Thailand and Nakara Long Beach was among the best. Excellent beach side location and the staff members were friendly, charming, and helpful. The food was good, but there did seem to be some inexperience with the western menu--one-time mix-up of an order (wienerschnitzel served instead of jaegerschitzel with mushroom sauce) and staff did not seem to know how to serve crepe suzette. We would definitely stay there again on a retunr trip to Koh Lanta

Although the public areas of the resort are rather nice and the beach is great, the standard of rooms are very poor and the service from the staff is not acceptable. We changed rooms 3 times during a 5 night stay here. Breakfast is not organised and is of poor quality. Broken lights on pathways. Unsafe electrics in bathrooms. Our shower was hanging off the wall with exposed live wires close to the shower head. Noisy air con units that literally shook the bungalow when it was turned on. I would not recommend staying here.

The hotel was a big disapointment. The only possitiv thing to say, was that the pool was good. The room was old and the bed felt like sleeping at the floor. The bathroom was dirty and they used old clothes for isolation number of places. We got sick eathing at the restaution. Breakfast was such a disapointment. The kitchen was placed next to the toilets...! You could hear and smell...

Very nice and worth the price, cleaning good and changing sheets daily. Stayed for 10 nights, brekfastbuffé, food at the restaurant ok, with low prices. We lived in a bungalow almost at the beach, didn't yuse the pool but it looked quite nice. Nothing to coplain at, and the staff is very helpful.

The rooms have been renovated and there is a lovely new swimming pool, but there is very little shade now as they have cut down the beach front trees. The breakfast is still only just adequate and if you get there late there is little to chose from. Good position and geat beach.

This hotel is heading towards an end. THey sell themselves as a 4 star type hotel and when you first arrive it seems like it could be, until you walk into your room and actually see the resort up close. The first room we had, a delux, which is the second best, was tiny by thai standards and horrible and grimy. it looked a bit like a prison and there was dirt on the walls and a disgusting bathroom. The bungalows all look great from the outside, but when you go in.... eugh. The resort in general is not being looked after either with dying palm trees and rubbish scattered around in the areas along the path between bungalows. There are also a bunch of wild dogs allowed to roam around the restaurant area. very unhygenic. also noticed the only cleaning of the restaurant tables was with a grimy cloth and nothing else, no spray nothing. breakfast was pretty terrible, when food or juice ran out, noone bothered to replace it. staff weren't particularly helpful. i almost broke my leg falling through a step that hadn't been nailed down properly. nice pool though!

Nice rooms and nice pool area. The service level at the reception was very varying. Sometimes the staff at the reception appeard slightly ignorant but sometimes they were extremely helpful. Overall we had a splendid time at the hotel. The location on the beach is perfect with access to many small bars and restaturants.

Well, the hotel was located right on long beach. You could see a glimse of the sea from every bungalow. The bungalows was really big and nice. The hotels pool was really big and nice. However, it was not clean around the bungalows with a lot of rubbish laying around. The staff was really bad on english. The hotel offered laundryservice. It took us three days and a lot of trouble to get our laundry back. They didn´t know where it was.. The hotel staff seemed comfused and the service was poor. The breakfast was really bad. They didn´t fill it up.

We had a lovely stay here in Nakara. The staff were sometimes a little slow with bringing out the food but the bungalow was clean (the air con worked very well), tidy and the resort had a lovely atmosphere to it. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The pool was a good size and having the beach only a few meters, was ideal. Also we stayed at peak season but the beach was quiet and clean. Although we were only able to spend a few days at Nakara i would love to return back there.

Nice reception as we arrived (drink) and very friendly staff, although most of them do not have enough English skills to understand your request. We arrived during the last couple of weeks before high season, and the hotel was still under construction (noise), eg we couldn't use the bar nor could we get a massage. Pool is ok, sunbeds available, however, no shades. Breakfast is so bad (or even worse) I recommend you buy your own bread and jam in the local minimart. Rest of the food is good, although they might have shortage in seafood sometimes... Beachfront villa is perfectly situated. Never seen a better one for a better price. Big rooms, a/c and fan, water pressure for shower is poor, room was cleaned everyday, perfect cleaning staff!

pro: 1. nice bungalows con: 1. according to the staff they NEVER exchange the water in the pool, they just put chlorine inside, therfore the water is salty and dirty 2. the breakfast was the worst I did ever experience in Thailand and I had been to Thailand about 15 times 3. the service is more than bad, e.g. we put the used towels down to the floor in the bathroom to get new ones - they just hang up the dirty towels again Ko Lanta is very nice and I will go there again - but never again to Lanta Nakara!

We were a bit disappointed as the resort is unfinished beyond the edges of the photos on the SiameServices website(with rubbish lying around) and the rooms, pool area and reception are very run down compared to the photos. Also the water in the pool itself wasn't very clean and the breakfast was pretty average as the food wasn't fresh. However, we found the lunches and dinners there were very good and the staff were friendly and helpful and the location was excellent - just a short drive to Saladin and the beach that it is located on is Long Beach and it is a beautiful beach with clean, fine sand and clear water with no rocks at all and was lovely for swimming and sitting by the water. I would recommend you stay at Long Beach near Nakara but save your money and stay at a resort without a pool along that beach because you don't need the pool and it's not very nice to swim in anyway!

Simple clean accomodation. The bungalows are quite cute but they do heat up during the day. Unfortunately they messed up our reservation request of 2 single beds (2 mates travelling). They changed us to a larger room but we still had to share a bed. Not the end of the world. Our travelling partners had trouble with the entry to their bungalow - she fell through the wooden planks which had rotted. Reception apologised and fixed it immediately. The resort in general is showing its age. Don't expect lush landscaped gardens and neatly trimmed grass - this is a little more rough (or perhaps real ). We didn't use the pool as it was in full sun - would be nice to have some trees for shade. The restaurant food was simple. The Pineapple Shakes were great! The resort has a bar on the beach which was lovely at sunset. Watch the massage ladies on the deck and at the beach-side of the resort. Two of my companions on seperate occassions were asked to pay more than what they had agreed before the massage. The beach is lovely. Not very many resort beach chairs unfortunately. Loads of restuarants up and down the beach. You should try one of the bars at sunset... Beautiful.

2nd time here in a few years. Resort has been upgraded with a pool and now has a resteraunt on the sand and on a massive deck next to beach. Food is nice and quite cheap compared to other places. There are now a few more restaurants up and down the beach so its not as remote as it used to be. Rooms are good for the price and almost all of them would have a glimpse of the sea. After paying for seaview i think i would just hire any of the AC bungalows as they are all so close and identical in build that it wouldnt matter. You get a free buffet breakfast which is a nice touch for the price hike compared to 2 years back. The lanta long beach resort is right next door and they are the same owners and have a shared reception. So i assume you could use there pool etc. Advise for something to do - hire a bike and take a trip down to the south of the island and eat at the VIEWPOINT restaurant which is halfway down the island and clearly marked on most maps. Eat at the second one which is half way down the hill, the lady makes the best thai food on the whole island and presents it all like your at a 5 star hotel even though its costing just over a dollar or two (AUD). Also the Thai Milk Ice Tea there is awesome.
