Accommodation and facilities:
The upper (cheaper) cabins are not clean. The beds are smelly,the shower and toilet were not that clean (It was old, but i do not mind that). Since we d already booked we were given the option to move to the more expensive cleaner cabins fore extra cash. We noticed that we paid more than we would have if we would have booked directly via a website. We will NOT come back at Lanta Marina! The Bay very beautifull. Although in the water is seemed like very tiny needles were puncturing the skin. Not every one experiences this.

good choice despite bad comments, bungalow and bath were clean, some music from a beac bar was ok, nice view, we enjoyed our stay, staff do not realy speak english, breakfast was ok, restaurant seemed open but no guests so wi did ot try it but nice restaurants and coffeeshops arround

Do not expect too much of this hotel is a budget accommodation in a beautiful place! The hotel is located in the south of the island, near the national park! From the bus station in Saponge takes you to a machine with an open body (previously needed to specify that a transfer to the hotel). The hotel consists of bungalows situated on a hill (quite steep stairs from the beach) with views of the sea and the beach! Quite decent bungalows with garden view, if you do not plan to stay all day in the room! Even the cheapest bungalows installed new air conditioning! The bathrooms are in need of repair, but it can survive, so they perform their function fully, hot and cold water is always in stock! Three types of breakfast with a beautiful view! Wonderful, nemnogolyudnom beach! On the main street behind the hotel shop 7/11 and lots of lovely inexpensive restaurants! A great place to spend a few days and visit the nearby islands.

At the end we only stay 1 night, the room was really dirty, bathroom was a nightmare. And the worst was that workers from the hotel decide to make a party untill 1am!!!!! Never again

Very noisy in the whole bay til 00:30h (Liveband is playing) 2 days in a room we don't have booked between 2 bars. Noisy with no chance to sleep til 04:30h in the morning. Thats the reason for my choices Bad Service and not so good location

Il bungalow godeva di una meravigliosa vista sulla baia di Koh Lanta, ma per raggiungerlo c‘era da arrampicarsi su per una scala a pioli estremamente ripida... vi lascio immaginare il divertimento a farlo con le valigie o di notte al buio. La stanza e il bagno erano sporchi e pieni di insetti. Il ristorante dell‘hotel ci ha favorevolmente stupiti: abbiamo mangiato bene e con un buon servizio. Complice la pioggia, in due giorni non siamo mai andati in spiaggia, ma nessuno se ne e‘ dispiaciuto: la spiaggia antistante l‘albergo era tagliata a meta‘ da un canale di scolo delle acque del paese, quindi fare in bango era fuori discussione.

This hotel was recommended by a good friend. The view was beautiful (seaview bungalow), but we had to climb a lot of stairs to our Bungalow (B7). So if you have a bad condition ask for a bungalow closer to the reception. Staff is friendly and helps you carry your suitcases up and down your bungalow! Anything you ask for, they do what they can. The beach is lovely, but no parasols or shadow, ask for a parasol at the reception (one to borrow for free). We would defenitly go there again.

we had a pleasnt stay and as a family run operation it isnt as professionally run but its entirely a good value. As a older guest i have one recomendation. they are in the process of buiding a aircon resturant and bar, but they really need to buy new beds instead and upgrade the bathrooms. The bed left me feeling tortured and a bit angry when they are spending money on other things

The bungalows have a beautiful view but the rooms was poorly restored. The water in the bathroom zink did not work and the bath tub had dirt that you could not wash away. We also had an ant freeway in the bathroom. The bungalows smelled like it was water inside that had stayed there and buildt fungus. We liked the staff who where helpful. We enjoyed our stay but the bungalow we stayed in was within 5 meters from the other hotels bar. They played loud music until 2 o´clock in the night and since we where there with children it wasn´t at all ok. We changed room after 2 days and then the noise disappered.

Location is about 10km from town but renting a scooter for the day to drive the road up there is worth it. If you don't mind stairs that are reminiscent of those on the Inca Trail, then you won't mind the property. Only complaint is the budget rooms are really not well maintained and water supply is very inconsistent. We were out of hot water for 2 days and one day had no water. Frustrating but you get what you pay for(and sometimes less..)

reception-stuff very unfriendly - particulary the guy! he gave us very dirty bungalows with holes in the roof! the next day we asked for another bungalow and he told us they would be fully booked! It was nt true - we ve got later other bungalows for higher prices - but the were more nice and clean! He only was to lasy to move! restaurant stuff cant t speak English very well - it's not so easy to order something. One day I came late for dinner and the waitress gave me the menu-card. When I had done my selection she told me the kitchen is closed now!! How grazy is that!! location is very nice - located on a hill with nice view. you can find some very nice places for relaxing in the resort.

We really enjoyed our stay here- beautiful location with just enough night life to keep us out but not awake in the wee hours. Good food, staff, and view! Wish we couldve stayed longer than just 2 nights! Recommend renting a scooter and checking out other parts of the island- not much here in terms of shopping or bars.

We had a great time in this lovely resort, we first had a/c garden bungalow the C2, try not to have this bungalow since in the evening the wind is very hard en the trees keep making lots of noise on the roof, however we changed after 2 nights to Bayview bungalow which is only 2000bath, and slept great! the view is lovely and the resort it self has a great location, 2min to the beautiful bay and quiet beach! The staff is super friendly and the food amazing!

Very nice bungalow, where my sister and I really enjoyed to stay. Great and friendly staff always ready to help, and the beach was amazing. One night the music from the bar was a little loud, but nothing that kept us from sleeping in the end. Would love to come back soon!

Location is excellent in a very nice bay on a hill. The atmosphere of the whole place is also excellent with all the beach restaurants attached and the plants around the bamboo houses. There are also reasonably priced places to eat nearby and a supermarket. It was not true at the end of January that it would be quiet. We could not sleep several nights espcially when there was a staff party with terribly loud singing till 3 am. Even the next day was spilt. The bamboo house I booked had a terrible smell, there was mildew everywhere. I was disguisted with the bathroom and bedclothes. Bedclothes had stains and it was torn and cracked at several places. Quality of toilet paper is awful. However, I think this is the nicest bay in Ko Lanta and there are hardly any people at the beach which is beautiful without trash.

After a VERY long series of flights and minivan to the resort we were exhausted. On first impressions were not impressed with the resort. After resting we gave it a second look and ended up loving the place! Will be back next year!! Thanx to the hotel staff, you made us feel very welcome and comfortable.

We were sooooooooo glad we chose this place to stay at when in Ko Lanta as it was that good we stayed longer than we originally intended. The bungalows have the best views of the bay and are equipped with a good airconditioner, decent bedding and the shower was hot. The only problem I could pick is the rooms where never cleaned for our entire stay and the pressure in the shower a bit low (but thats me just being picky). The restaraunt there serves really good value for money meals and theres no point really looking elsewhere when youve got the breathtaking views to go with it. A nice place to eat for a romantic dinner with good music as well. After dinner you can stay and enjoy mingling with other travellers or the very sociable staff at the bar there. They serve up wild cocktails and put on some great tunes to dance through into the early hours of the morning.Fry who works there as a waiter is always there to help you and make you laugh and he is everyones friend.Most of the staff that work there are just as nice but this man (Fry) stood out amongst them all. I will definatley go back there and recommend this hotel to anyone

The hotel is ok. The seaview rooms are a pretty good deal. Dont book any trips from their agency though. Nothing we bought there were as we were told, and we found out that we had been overcharged. We also met other people who had the same problems with this agency. But the seaview rooms are still a good deal :-) have a nice one...

We liked our stay at Lanta Marine Park View Resort - but only due to the great and friendly restaurant team. The staff there was really friendly, talkative and the food just great. The atmophere in the restraurant and the view were just so relaxing and special. The rooms on the other side were quite dissapointing. Functional though, but without love for any detail. Also not very clean. Front desk was quite chaotic! Make sure you check all your belongings before checking out! They just kept our ID's even after we returned the rented motobikes! But after all, worth staying 2-3 nights, just for the view and restaurant.

We stayed at the hotel for one week with a small child. The staff is kind and talkative but the girl at the reception is rather lazy and seem uninterested in her guests and to help them. The cottages are scattered up a hill so you need to be fit to stay at this resort and you can not use a stroller for your child. We had booked a babycot for our child but they were out of them when we arrived and we did not get one during the entire stay it worked out ok due to a very large double bed. The cottage was very clean, a bit old but in good condition. The bathroom was spacious but simple and we had to use the thai shower many days to get clean due to poor water supply in the shower. We did not have water at all for 1,5 days. The view is amazing and we thought the climbing up and down to the beach was easier than it looked on the pictures. The restaurant is cosy with a great view of the bay but the staff have many problems with the orders and to get the right food to the tables in reasonable time. The breakfast is ok but nothing more, it is served by the table so no buffé . The resort is on a quiet beach and there are not many options of restaurants or shops nearby. The resort is ok for the price and if you only stay a few days but we thought a week was too long and boring, there was also a very strong wind when we stayed at the resort, making the evenings cold and you get blastered by sand at the beach. This is not a very good beach if you have children, it is steep and there is no shadow anywhere (only one tree on the entire beach gives shadow)

the bungelow was fantastic, the location was fantastic. however I find Koh Lanta and the resorts far too westernised in a few years I can see that island turning into the costa del sol such a shame ferang feel they need to take over and ruin things
