Lanta Casuarina Beach Resort is nestled down Koh Lanta, the spectacular island of Krabi province. This charming resort resides on the sparking white sand of Pra Ae Beach, known as “Long Beach”, just 70 kilometres from Krabi International Airport. Merely 6 kilometres away, you can reach the Sladan Town and Saladan Pier where you can board the ferry or speedboat to explore the surrounding islands or mainland. Accommodation and facilities:
We booked 4 nights but stayed only 3. The location is pretty close to Saladan Pier by taxi or motorbike (for rent) but Long Beach is filthy, tide bringing empty bottles, shoes, dead wood and other stuff. The color of the sea had nothing to do with our expectations. It was brown! The staff does not care the cleanliness of the place (an empty bottle and a plastic box remained by our terrace throughout our stay). The staff is pretty nice but speaks poor english. We would also like to mention that April is already the end of the season and we were nearly alone staying there.

We missed the little extra of service that really makes the difference. The service wasn´t bad but not extrordinary either. F.ex asking the receiption to get a local telephone number wasn´t possible. The Wi-Fi you paid for ran out before the time expired. Small things perhaps but still annoying.

Very nice hotel, noise from busy road is not heard, not developed on both sides of hotel means not noisy. Not all hotels on beach-this one is. Best beach on Lanta. Clean water-no glass on beach, wide beach, only chest deep long way out. 5 min walk on beach to bars and to even more shallow swimming for small, pool good, shower at beach/pool, Book trips from town is cheaper. Trips pick up at beach. swimming area roped off so safe from boats - few boats. Internet very, very bad, beds and pillows rock hard-had backache from it whole trip. 100B for 2 to Saladan about 10 min. Best for families or quiet couples. Go with the flow and you wont be disappointed.

Nice hotel right by the beach, 15 minutes by tuk-tuk to Saladan. The first room we got was a standard room facing backyard which we didn't like since the balcony was hidden behind some huge plants and we had no view at all. The room was basic but clean. Second room was a superior on second floor, not a big difference in room interior but over all and with the view a lot nicer. Pool area is really nice. Breakfast was ok, the staff was nice.

We booked two beachfront villas and were expecting something really nice for a relatively high price. The villas though were completely run down and what was even worse: dirty! If you can get a cheap rate for a normal room, go for it as the location by the beach is really nice...but don't think that with paying more you will get something nicer.

The Lanta Casurina was a really nice resort to choose. It was everything it was advertised to be.Rooms were clean and spacious and all the staff were friendly and pleasant. Not the place for younger people looking for nightlife but a great spot to stay with good facilities for all ages including families.Our only problem was that we couldnt stay longer.Oh well may get back sometime in the future.

The beach is not good and it is not possible to buy any fruit shake on the beach because of the resorts. I will not recommend this hotel to any one, only if they want to stay at the resort and eat the same place every night. The price is high comparing to other resorts in Thailand.

The worst nightmare in Koh Lanta. The staff was totally useless and the room was a disaster. Do not go to this hotel. The only thing good about this plase was the beach. The staff tried to charge me for an broken umberella 400 bath, witch we never used. They do had a busboy who looked like our new swedish king, Daniel W. keep on the good work Vickan

The resort was a bit of a dissapointment. We stayed there for one week in July. Maybe it was due to low season, but staff did not really identify themselves with their mission. When we arrived at night, they found out that electricity in our appartment did not work - why was this not tested in advance while cleaning the room? The shower water was either boiling hot or quite cold, the room service did not clean properly and did not try to do their work when we had left the appartment. Instead they showed up at late morning when we have come back from breakfast and a walk after two hours. The beach was dirty beyond imagination. Maybe they do not feel responsible for the beach wich is directly in front of the resort? Breakfast was a laugh. Two slices of toast, two sorts of jam, a tiny glass of fruit juice and a cup of coffe. In addition some ham and sausages and either a scrambled egg or omelette. If we liked Muesli, this was an extra to be paid, and egg pancace as well. Pretty strange, that policy, as all the other hotels I know offer a good buffet. Staff did not care much. Example: We ordered coffee and a little jug with milk, and when they brought a second cup of coffee, they forgot the milk and we had top ask again. This procedure became everyday routine during the stay ... We were one out of only two or three families who stayed at the resort and staff did not find it necessary to prepare the deckchairs at the pool for so few people. And so on and so on ... Altogether, although the place was nice, the beach was lonely and the installation itself seems to be okay, this is not a recommendable place. Ko Lanta is a considerably dirty island anyway ...

Surely the worthest staff ever met in a Thai Hotel. Unpolite, rude, and unhelpful. Good size room but extremely DIRTY! Bed and bath laundry has definetly to be changed. Breakfast under the average. NEVER AGAIN HERE!!!

Accommodation and facilities:
I was really suprised at how bad the service was (especially the front desk). Among the worst I ve seen. The delux oceanside room was run down and dirty as well. Musty bedding, grimy bathroom, etc. On the good side, the garden area was nice and the sunsets wonderful. We were there at the end of the season, so not many people and the sand bar was closed. I would not return.

VERY BAD, PEOPLE NOT HONNEST. WE HAVE RESERVED A ROOM WITH GARDEN VIEW AND WE RECEIVED A ROOM WITH GARBAGE ROOM. IMPOSSIBLE TO CHANGE. WE STAY ONLY TWO HOURS IN THIS HOTEL AND RECOMMEND TO SIAMESERVICES TO REMOVE THIS HOTEL FROM THEIR SELECTION..
