Rooms were nice and clean, but a little small. What we were missing was a place to sit outside. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet pretty much the same every day and a little boring. Overall a satisfying experience.

I have mixed feelings in writing the review on the Aonang Paradise Resort. Firstly, its location is ideal as it is about 10 minutes walk to the beach and there are plenty of shops, restaurants, currency exchange centres etc on the way so there is plenty going on. The hotel grounds are well kept with gardeners working throughout the day maintaining the gardens and so all the rooms are hidden away in a nice maze of greenery and plantlife making it quite romantic. The room we had was Deluxe Premium Cliff view (hut H2) and the view of the cliff was excellent from these huts. However there were a few problems such as mosquitoes. You expect a few in a location like this with all the plantlife but we were bombarded with them and it was clear the room hadn't been cleared of them before our arrival. Also the air con was very noisy and there was a bad smell of sewage from the bathroom. The door to the bathroom is located in the centre of the room by the bed and the living area and has a frosted glass window pane. Therefore it was possible to be seen having a number two from the main living area. This room was not acceptable so we moved to hut H1 which had none of these problems. Again the bathroom door in H1 had frosted glass but it is located on the far side of the room meaning you have your privacy. The room is well insulated against noise but there was very little noise anyway, even at night from the bars which are not that far away. The pictures on the website are misleading. Some of the fittings and furniture are showing their wear. A typical example is the towel rail in the bathroom where the raw plugs are starting to come out of the tiling. There is no bathtub, only a shower meaning wet rooms which can be slippy. The biggest joke is the swimming pool. If the pool is empty it is possible to do ten strokes before turning round. Also it is only about 4-5ft deep so forget it if you want to swim - go to the beach. The breakfast is ok. If you arrive early in the morning there is plenty to eat. Arrive later and well you have to start asking them to stock things back up. This is not a problem and in a way a good idea as it saves on overcooking and waste. The problem is is that you have to wait around. They do make omeletes and various other dishes to order which is good. The wifi is not free and from the huts not reliable. I found it very slow and could only obtain a reliable connection by sitting at reception. Eventually I found it was quicker to use their machines which are hard wired to the LAN. Overral for those of you on your first trip to Thailand you may be impressed with this hotel but for me who has stayed all over Thailand, I have been in and seen better;- and for far less of your baht.I am not saying the stay was bad and the hotel staff are very friendly and willing to help out - especially the reception lady but we liked krabi and by day 4 we were eyeing up other hotels to stay in if we ever returned. Anyway enough waffle. I hope this is seen as a fair review and that it helps you out Ian & Pairorh

Not as nice as it looks in the pictures but I guess that's true for any location. The room was small with bare minimal furnishings. The more expensive rooms looked nicer than ours. So if you re getting one of those, you should be fine. We had everything we needed - including a fridge in the room. Pool was small but nice. Shower by the pool is awesome - kind of like you re showering outside. The breakfast had a little bit of everything which was nice but because the restaurant is partly outside, there were bugs everywhere. Service was impeccable. All of the staff were so great and helpful. They really make your stay nice and try to help out with as many things as possible.

A few friends of mine who went to Krabi before recommended me this place to stay. This resort had earned their name right. it's like staying in paradise.. Hotel reception was awesome with some welcome drink and very accomodating staffs. The room which we stayed was a deluxe room, clean, free of odour, good aircond and hot water shower. I love the part where their housekeeping staff would fold a different creative creation out of the towel daily. The resort was surrounded with greens and mountains at the back.. which is perfectly relaxing. Although there's limited varieties for breakfast food, but it is just good enough. Shuttle bus service from the airport stop and pick us up from the hotel lobby itself, saving u to walk few doors away just to wait for the transport. It's only around 10 mins walking distance to the Aonang beach, at i bet you wont even feel it as there's alot of attractions by the roadside along the way to the beach. Again, if i were to go there for the round, i'll try out their cliff room which i heard is even more spacious and comfy. Thumbs up to their friendly staffs !

Staff was nice. We went in slow season so the breakfast was good, rooms clean, pool quiet. Don't know how the hotel is in busy season. About an 8 minute walk to the water.

Our family (8 adults and 2 kids) stayed 4D3N in Aonang Paradise and totally enjoyed our stay. My parents stayed in the Mountain View Suite while the rest stayed in the Deluxe Cliff Rooms. We would recommend the Deluxe Cliff Rooms as its brand new with all new mod cons plus cheap minibar - our only complaint would be the low water pressure in the shower. The front desk team is exceptional and always try to accommodate our requests. The breakfast selection could be better but no complaints as the service staff were friendly and helpful. As we stayed during low season, it was very quiet which we liked although we understand the hotel was fully booked during our stay but it didn't seem like it. Its more quiet at our end but we prefer it like this -very convenient as there are lots of shops, 7/11, McDonalds, travel exchange, banks and eateries outside. We will definitely recommend to others and would stay again!!

Its a small hotel. I think has been recently renovated but certain things need improvement like bathrooms.....doors.. Though we got good offer.. one extra night free for two nights booking... .. A bit away from the beach also.. the only best thing about the hotel is their Staff.. specially the girls on the Reception. They are very pleasant.. always Smiling and ready to assist.... Breakfast little choice for vegetarians..

What a lovely, quiet, well located and friendly resort... booked 2 Deluxe rooms - both clean and comfy (bungalow A5 recomm as it has a recessed, more private side-balcony). All staff happy and helpful... I read many recent reviews mentioning low shower nozzles... the wall hose mounting has TWO angle options, dumbos!. While in Krabi I checked out many resorts I had short-listed before booking Aonang Paradise online... None of them would make me book anywhere else than this resort whenever in Aonang, Krabi again.

We loved the different animals they made with the towels daily. - Waiters at restaurants are sulky and do not understand simple requests for different types of eggs. - Families with very young children and the physically handicapped may wish to note that there are a lot of steps in this hotel. Not wheelchair- or pram-friendly.

I have visited numerous Hotels in Thailand, this was my second stay in Ao Nang, I originally stayed in the Cliff Hotel which is in a similar setting to Ao Nang Paradise Resort. We loved the Cliff's setting and wanted to try and replicate it but give another hotel a chance to see what they could offer. I will try and write a fair and balanced review on this Hotel. First impressions, this hotel is tucked away from the main drag nicely in a way that allows you to indulge in a little piece of paradise. The grounds are extremely well kept, numerous gardeners beavering away all day. The reception desk staff are impeccable, one particular lady made efforts to address any issues we had with the hotel in a dignified and reassuringly geuine manner. Reception staff organised Thai Boxing ringside tickets at a reduced rate - this was refreshing as in my experience most hotels try and make a profit on tickets sold through the hotel. Language is understandably a problem in most Thai hotels regardless of star rating, so some patience is required when communcating with staff. This particulrly applies to Ao Nang Paradise kitchen staff, although errors made were rectified relatively promptly and not replicated. Reception staff regularly enquired about my pregnant wife's morning sickness, and on occasion even sent a bowl of complimentary fruit after they had noticed I went to breakfast without her. I thought this was a nice gesture. We stayed in the Cliff View room, lovely setting and well positioned facing.. the cliffs, surprisingly. Wildlife is in abundance here, so expect a few ants in the room, this isn't a great price to pay for the magical setting this resort offers. This hotel ticked a lot of boxes however I think it is only fair to raise some negative points for people who are considering their stay. Television is advertised as cable tv, of the English speaking channels there were limited channels that were not affected by a reception. I understand that the location of the Cliffs near the hotel will affect this. It was not an issue for me but if you are a TV person then bring some DVD's or buy them from town for 100BHT a disc. Air conditioning is effective, infact may be too effective. I fiddled with all the settings but was unable to find a mediocre temperature that was comfortable. This is ideal if you are coming back from a hot day at the beach, but if you re waking up after having it on all night it is not pleasant. I was regularly having to wake up in the middle of the night and turn it off. The contemporary furniture although adequate is slightly tired, and could do with a lick of paint. I didn't consider the decor in our room to reflect the price we paid. The Wood chipped bed looked as if had seen some action. The shower here was sub-standard. Hot water should be ubiquitous in a hotel with the word paradise in it's name. On the first day I raised this issue with the recepton desk staff who immediately delivered a chap to test it in my presence. The water was luke warm, and the chap was unable to make it any hotter. I understand that in a busy hotel there may be limited hot water, but I counted only two occasion during my twelve night stay when I had water which I would describe as slightly hotter than warm, but not hot. I raised this issue with the reception staff and requested to speak to the manager as my pregnant wife was regularly waking up chilled from the air-con in need of a hot shower. I received no correspondance from the manager. The welcome pack in the hotel room reads The Paradise Pool provides the perfect place to lay back and enjoy the resorts peaceful and sunny environment The pool, as I knew before arriving was small, but I am not exactly a ten lengths before breakfast kind of person, so this did not bother me. I like to lay on a sunbed and enjoy a cocktail in the afternoon. Unfortunately during my stay there were a rowdy family with a couple of teenagers who dominated the tiny pool with inconsiderate noisy splashy ball games and unnecessary shouting. I raised this issue with the reception staff who told me they would make the manager aware. They left a few days in to my stay so it wasn't so bad. Numerous balls and pool toys remained beside the pool after they left, I am not sure if these toys belonged to the hotel, but I think it's a poor decision to allow ball games in a pool of this size and location. Also I d imagine the hotel would make more money from the pool bar if they discouraged such behaviour by the pool. Ao Nang is a busy resort so this hotel as explained earlier offers a bit of peace. Unfortunately there is a venue next door that pipes loud karaoke style cabaret style singing. This did not affect the room we stayed in but I remember feeling sorry for people staying in rooms in a closer promixmity to this venue. I would recommend asking the hotel about this before booking. WIFI is available in the hotel but at a price, I forget the price per hour but it is definitely not competetive with the 1BHT per minute rate available on every corner in Ao Nang. This hotel should offer free WIFI!I have stayed in 3 to 5 star resorts in numerous resorts in Thailand and I have never paid for internet during any of my stays! On principal I decided to take a two minute walk and get internet elsewhere! No manager appeared during my stay, I didn't receive any correspondance in person by letter or email from any manager or assistant manager. I was told that the manager was sick after the third time I requested to speak to them. I felt sorry for the reception staff who were having to act as a messenger and field complaints via telephone to the manager. In summary, this is a gorgeous hotel in a lovely setting. The two female reception staff literally run this hotel which is a testimony to them. I would consider staying in this hotel if the issues raised were rectified, however as there is such a large choice of competitors I believe I would not stay here again.

We stayed 8 days in February 2010 at Aonang Paradise Resort and we loved it. We stayed in a pool villa - large and with its own terrace with sun loungers. Terrace located off against a large rock and green area so you have privacy. The pool is not large but very delicious to cool itself in. hotel area is very fertile and is kept nice and clean. Hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the cleaning is also in the top. There is a buffet breakfast which is also ok. If we come back to Ao Nang we will definitely stay at Aonang Paradise Resort again.

Nice quiet place, we had the mountain view and it was a lovely room. Ate once it the hotel and that was nice as well. All in all very happy, staff all pleasant, room great, bed great, shower great(ish). Small pool, but a fair few nice loungers around it. Location is quite a walk to the beach, but this also means its quieter, you can get tuktuk motorbikes for 40 baht if you are too lazy to walk. Theres a restaurant called Aree ba ba on the left as you walk to the beach, basically a bamboo carry on with a barbeque outside, we ate there once and it was ok but expensive, it is ALI-ba-ba, robbing b***ards. If you want great seafood at reasonable prices, take a tuktuk past nopparat thara beach, turn left at the T junction and its on the right, the restaurant is called Krua-tara, has a sign outside saying after tsunami in english. I would advise anyone to visit the hotel it is what it says it is, paradise.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Lovely view from the Delux Premium Cliff view room. It was cozy except that we had difficulty drawing the curtains without an attached rod or strings. The wooden furniture needs paintwork. The bathroom was big and the shower was excellent but the grey and gloomy cement wall makes it look like a prison! The bedroom would look more pleasant with some wall hangings. The pool is rather small. We enjoyed the serenity of the whole place though it's a long 15-minute walk to the beach. Because it's the low season, the staff offered us extended checkout time on our last day there. Great thank you to the staff of Aonang Paradise.

Schönes Hotel, nette, freundliche Staff. Standardzimmer ist völlig ausreichend und schön eingerichtet. Ganze Anlage ist sehr schön in Natur eingebunden. Poolanlage wird von Gästen kaum genutzt (zumindest in Low Season), da viele Kurzurlauber. Ansonsten ruhig und trotzdem zentral. Können das Hotel guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.

This our second time staying in the new Cliffview rooms. This is a lovely section of the resort, overlooking a green forest and lake. 3 for 2 during the low season makes this a great value. The staff is quite professional. We will return again. Krabi is the best.

This hotel is in a good location,delux rooms are ok, delux premium rooms are the best rooms they have they are really nice & modern however the junior suite is really not worth the money we paid an extra £200 for this and found that the bar was the other end of the pool, the sun terrace has a 6ft wall all around it that blocks the sun and the room & bathroom are to the same standard as the delux rooms it is not worth the extra money. The staff were very unfriendly and also don't give the hotel your laundry as ours came back shrunk and discoloured. I would not stay here again due to the fact the manager & the staff have no people skills.Do not book the junior suite it is not worth the money, delux premium are the best.

We had a family room which was really spacious - it is the 2nd time we stayed here and the new pool is in a beautiful location and is great for the kids (adults note it is only approx 15m) Breakfast was great. Low season rate, combined with pay for 2 nights and stay 3 nights, make this an excellent value. We chose the larger and newer cliff-view room. The attention to detail in design and construction is very pleasing. The view from the room, overlooking the wild greenery and the dramatic limestone cliffs, was stunning. The staff at this boutique resort was well-trained, available when needed, but otherwise unobtrusive. Only a 5-6 minute walk to the beach; many choices for dining available nearby. Try the Blue Mango, my favorite.

Très heureux de notre séjour. L endroit est calme, très bien pour une famille. Personnel très accueillant. Site enchanteur, belle piscine, bonne bouffe. L ensemble est bien isolé et on ne sent pas la frénésie touristique du village d AoNang. Très bons restos tout près. Eviter les restos près de la plage.

There was enough space in the familyroom. We did not have a terrace, and there were many moscitos. It was a long way to the beach. The staff was helpfull and friendly.

We got double bed room for 2 adults and 2 kids. The location of the resort was great - it is not crowded. We liked the setting - individual huts. Outside the hotel, there is so many restaurants and we had our dinner there for four nights. The room is clean and tidy. The pool is small but facing the hill which is nice. The staff were polite and responsive.

Lovely hotel a 10 minute walk from beach and longatil service. Room was small though and we booked a superior double with an extra bed for our 5 yr old so it was very tight!Breakfast was very good. Staff were very helpful and friendly and hotel pool was a bit small for the size of the hotel, but very nice and spotlessly clean. If we came here again would book the family room or mini suite. We had a lovely stay at Ao nang Paradise resort - it's good for couples and families.

Very friendly, helpful staff. A lot of Thai hospitality, always smiling. Hotel clean. But for the bungalow room is very simple, poor furniture, unconvinient little place. shower/bathroom with toilet is very bad little place, the room should cost much less!!! Not value for the money we paid. Pool area too primitive. Also there is a construction work ongoing close to hotel restaurant, so during breakfast you hear noise, drilling. Conclusion: the room prices are definitely too high for such a hotel.

We used the hotel as transfer hotel and stayed just one night - thank god. The only acceptable thing was the breakfast. The rooms are not very nice (although we had the junior suite which is supposedly the best room), it is located about 10 minutes walking distance from the beach (which is not that great, either) and the service is bad, from what we experienced. Staff either don't want to help or they just can't as they don't speak English at all. Cannot recommend the hotel at all.

When we arrived nobody helped with our luggage. There are stairs to arrive at the reception which is not very welcoming. The rooms are nice but with a very old bathroom. The breakfast area is too small and could be better. The location is very good, only a short walk to the beach and centre of Ao Nang. Staff could be more helpful. When I had problems with the internet connection they just said nothing about it. Accidentally I broke a small glass table and they charged me 15 euros which is very expensive for Thailand. Aon Nang is an average accomodation.Could find better.

Although some places were in renovation, hotel was still neat and tidy. Room was perfect except water for shower was not enough. Swimming pool was clean and beautiful. People were friendly and helpful. Location is good as massage, 7-11 & bars are nearby. We definately will go again.

We love the room. It is clean, cosy, and comfortable to stay but it will be good to have facilities to boil water and make coffee/tea. Staffs are polite but speak only basic English. Hotel is 5 min walk from beach, shops and restaurants and pretty serene at night. The pool is small but there is a nice view of the mountain just beside.. but I was bitten by many mosquitoes there! The breakfast variety is not wide and the menu remain similar for the 3 days we stayed there. Overall, this is a nice resort to stay in...

nice small resort. room is ok, but shower was not working properly and the water was not hot. swimming pool is small and cute, more like a bigger size bathtub. Most of the staffs are friendly. small hiccups with one of the receptionist, not very pleasant attitude and showing off her temper. overall is good. will go back. Just outside the resort (heading towards the beach), the thai eatery place named AREE BA BA is a must try! we had most of our meals there. Yummy good foods with very reasonable prices, and people working there are very friendly, humble and nice!

we stayed in a standard bungalow. everything was nice, big comfortable room, bathroom ok, especially the pool and the beautiful garden. staff is friendly and helpful. Very quiet and not far to the beach. Food is good, the curries as well. there is a foodmarket between aonang and nopparath, very cheap and delicious thaifood. it's better to rent a motorbike. We really enjoyed staying in ao nang paradise resort and hope to come back soon.

Nice little hotel, good value for money in low season. Pool IS small but still has great view. We moved after 3 nights because of the distance to the beach (which btw is nothing to speak of in Ao Nang to our disappointment). Even though it didn't bother us much, there was construction going on about 4 meters from the bed! Maybe this will be over when the season picks up. Bungalows nice and clean, nothing spectacular. Breakfast ok, again nothing out of the ordinary. As it rained a lot when we were there, we needed more space for our 1 yo. If weather had been better and location closer to the beach, we would have stayed.

Small resort with small bungalows. Rooms are clean but the superior rooms are just enough for 2 people, if you have a kid it will be already too crauded. Shower is OK but the water was not so hot. Swimming pool is nice but quite small. Staff very friendly and speak good english. The resort is just 10min walk from the beach. Just outside the resort there is a thai restaurant called aree ba ba that is a must try, for me the best food at the best price and quite good atmosphere.

Comfortable rooms/bungalows. Very cute. Not good lighting at night though so watch where you re going or you may trip. My bungalow was a little noisy early in the morning - I think there was a business behind my bungalow that was leaning things up against the wall (?) Not unbearable though. Bathrooms are quite dated but functional. Breakfast area is beautiful in the mornings with a lovely view of a nearby mountain. Breakfast itself was simple. Staff were pleasant.

No problems. The 2 payments (deposit then remainder) was a little tricky... don't forget to make the second payment before you start your holiday (for example if you re leaving much earlier than you arrive at your booking)

Very nice resort, silent and with modern + clean bungalows. Breakfast is good, but after 4 days you would like to have some more variations at breakfast. The pool area is good if you would like to escape from the noisy beach. We found that trips and transfers can be booked cheaper in the hotel than via the travel offices in Aonang.

The rooms are very nicely furnished, with comfy beds and plenty of space. The only gripe is with the bathroom - having a shower causes the entire bathroom floor to get wet. The pool area is fantastic - very nice place to relax. The resort is about 5 mins walk to the beachfront and is in a nice quiet spot. For the price, i think the Ao Nang Paradise Resort is good value and would definitely recommend it.

We stayed here for 1 night in a deluxe room before heading out to the islands. The room was pretty, comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly. Breakfast in the morning was good, a small but good selection of Western & Easter cuisine. Poached eggs are cooked to order, which was nice.

The booking service was convenient. It helps to make more than more booking especially during peak season as your first request may be booked out.
