Accommodation and facilities:
We loved most of the staff, lovely helpful smiling people. We loved the breakfast, extensive buffet. We loved the pool with its beautiful view of the sea. The room was passable lets face it you dont spend a lot of time in it. The bed was comfortable, nice firm mattress. It could do with a good clean, especially the bathroom, and broken tiles replaced, it also smelt very damp so we had to keep the door closed. The room generally needed a repaint - it was a bit tired. The beauty of Railay outshone everything else.

unfortunatly the hotel is situated on the beach that is not a nice one.not made for swimming at,full of garbage, fallen trees etc from the surroundings in front of the hotel entrance. seems very strange that the hotel staff did not clean this up.could have made more effort with that instead of their own makeup.

The hotel is situated between a beach and a mangrove. Unfortunately, to get to the hotel, guests have to walk past open sewage and an immeasurable quantity of garbage. Monkeys abound between the beaches, so when trash is put out behind the hotels, it is not put in a locked bin. The monkeys soon get to it and strew it all over the place. If the sun goes down while a guest is at the beach, walking back to the hotel through open sewage, trash, monkey poo and an unlit path can be disgusting. The hotel room was clean when we entered, but the windows in the room faced the sun the entire day, so the temperature was usually 40 degrees or so when we walked into our room. We asked the reception to communicate to the cleaning crew that the curtains should be kept closed, at least three times. None of the three times we requested this was it applied. We eventually had to ask a local Thai to write the request for us in Thai, and then we taped it to the curtains. After the second day, the room was given a cursory cleaning, and towels were not changed. The first day, the clean towels smelled like they d been left in the washing machine for a day: mildewy and wretched. The patio furniture is filthy with dirt embedded in the white plastic. Service: Pretty bad. Typically, when a hotel agrees to serve guests by the pool, we actually expect the plates, glasses, popsicle sticks, and beer bottles to be picked up and put into a bin. We d go back to the pool the next day and the previous day's plates, glasses and trash were still by the lounge chairs. To get a clean table, we had to clean it ourselves. Breakfast: should be hot, but the food was always luke warm or completely cold. Stick to the toast and the coffee. There were no covers for the fruits, so they were always covered with flies and gnats. If I were a backpacker with the intent to have a place to crash, I might consider staying there again, but as an adult professional, I'll never make the mistake of staying at this hotel again. And I will also add this same review to the Trip Advisor. Avoid booking this hotel for adults.

From the outside, the hotel looks new and the grounds and buildings are clean and well-maintained. The rooms themselves were just okay. The bedroom itself was clean and huge. The bedding was totally grotty and stained. The mattress as hard as a board, even by Thai standards and the general furnishings in need of some TLC. The bathroom was also huge but really in need of a total upgrade. There was a dirty earbud behind our door for two days, though I specifically asked for it to be removed and the bathroom cleaned. The staff were very sweet and friendly. The food in the restaurant was also good. Breakfast was also fine. The hotel is on the East (sunrise) side of Railay and is quieter than the busy beach side on the West. There are places to eat and drink on the East side which are far more reasonably priced than the West. The walk to the beach is quick and easy. If they cleaned up the rooms a little I would stay there again.

where to begin, well the first thing everyone needs to know is that this resort is only accessable by boat - and the last boat goes at 5 pm, so if you arrive at 5:15 like we did - forget it. we had to stay in Krabi for the night and then go the next day. Also, the boat will not leave until there are 8 passengers, that took us about 40 minutes of waiting before that happened and over 1 hour on the way back. when the boat arrives you have to then walk about 2 miles to get to the resort, seriously, about 2 miles through heat, and smelly sewage. ridiculous. then you get there and there is no beach in front of the resort, it is on the bad side of railay beach, it is in a lagoon, that is full of fishing boats and sewage and when the tide goes out it smells really bad. the resort was about a 2 star at best, the room was not bad, but smelled because there was no p trap in the shower. the room was clean but the bedsheet did not fit the bed. there are only 2 English tv channels - which is ridiculous as there were no Thai guests in the resort. the best part is the very loud disco located about 20 feet from our room that went until 2 am. when I went to reception to complain there was a security guard asleep on the reception desk. spoke no English. Finally talked to someone who informed me the resort was full which was not possible in low season on a weekday. breakfast was poor, very poor. Overall I would give this resort a 2 out of 10! Please do not stay here!

We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights on 29 - 31 March 2009 and we re arrived the resort at 1.30pm. When I am check-in at C213 the room is uncleaned and bathroom is really dirty from the excustomers, dust and sand in all over floor. My friends stay at C324 with heated air-con. One of housekeeping staff for our area is not firendly. We hope to see the improvement of the resort then we may get back again soon.

Very friendly, helpful, flexible staff. Clean rooms with a boutique feel. East Railey may come as a shock to first-time visitors as it is basically a mangrove swamp, but it is definitely the right place to stay as this is where all the nightlife is. The beautiful beaches at Phra-Nang and Railey West are both just a short walk away. This was my second stay at Anyavee and I would definitely go back again.

We stayed in a wooden bungalow and it was okay so far, though the bathroom was rather basic. In our opinion, the bungalow was not 40 sqm as stated on the website. Pictures on the website are sugarcoated, in reality neither the resort nor the bungalow look as good as shown on the pictures. Breakfast is a bit humble, many flies around. The airport-transfer, that we have booked, does not work, but they refund the money back. Stuff is quite friendly and anxious. For us it was no problem, that the resort is on the mud -side of Railey, because the other beaches are in short walking distance. Altogether, we must say, that compared to the other resorts on our journey (which were in the same price-range) this was the one with the worst value for the money.

I would NOT recommend this hotel. It is overpriced (though Railay is pricey anyway) and has several major problems. First of all, it is a new hotel and the management is not up to speed. They are nice and try, but the problems are severe. Second, there are NO ocean view rooms to speak of. The ones that are billed as such actually face the mangroves (these are tall trees) and have another property interspaced between the room and the ocean/mangrove trees (the mangroves stink as well). One of these properties is a noisy bar. The bungalows have no views, but are quieter. Yet again, they come with problems: they are shabby in construction and infested with insects, especially enormous amounts of mosquitoes (needed to use mosquito coils, sprays, AC, and provided mosquito net all to cope) and bed bugs. Worst of all, the bathroom is outside and connected via a wooden door that does not close tightly (thus the mosquito infestation). Massive waste of energy for the AC and insect problems are the result. The shower is also only accessible by several highly slippery stairs, which are dangerous even for the well-balanced and fit. Finally, it is quite a ways to reach the hotel, and one must pass through Railay's ugly hinterland -- garbage dumps, noisy generators and construction. In high season this hotel is also by far too expensive. Try to avoid it. Moreover, Railay is overall pricey and badly managed (the generators are extremely noisy). Probably better off on Phi Phi.

Nice place. We stayed in the wooden bungalow which was pretty nice. Bathroom a bit tacky and not much water pressure but overall quite nice. The bungalows are nicely spaced apart and you are not living right next other people unlike other resorts. Overall, I would probably stay here again.

We were a little disappointed with our stay here. A lot of the resort seemed unfinished, particularly the bare concrete in our bathroom! The staff were friendly, the pool was lovely and the room was comfortable. However, the restaurant was terrible - quite possibly the worst food we had in Thailand! We found this disappointing for what could potentially be a really beautiful resort. Perhaps after a few more months of operation it will improve.

Good location on East (Mud) side with everything in short walking distances. Not to close to the pub area so no disturbance from that, but close enough to get home in no time. less then 10 minutes to Phra Nang Beach or West Side so, good spot. Nice pool. The room was clean and nice. Friendly staff. The resturant could be better though.

Stayed in the standard room which was very below standard....on arrival to our room we found the front door didn't lock, the bathroom didn't close, the bathroom doorknob feel off, there were no remotes for the airconditioning or TV, our shower needed fixing, and for the majority of the week our room smelt like a sewer. The resort is otherwise okay, in a good location but I would try another room next time.....

Hotel is new and clean. Swimming pool is nice. Room is really good except the Wash Basin, I think maybe wrong measurement or design, it is too large which blocked the toilet door to be shut. People are friendly and helpful.
