Accommodation and facilities:
We arrived from Phangan at the pier, our experience of Simple life started from the get-go when we were found and whisked away to the resort by the free taxi service. From there our check in process was a breeze and we were given a number of welcome coupons and we were very well informed of all the different specials in the restaurant and bar (pizza buffet is a must) The room was spacious and the swan towels in a love heart added a nice touch to the overall presentation of the room. My only criticism would be the buffet breakfast but that is personal preference (I am not so much a continental fan) Keep it up Simple Life!

We loved Simple Life! We had an excellent location--one block from the beach. The rooms were nice compared to the other ones we d seen. Their attached restaurant is cheap and delicious, and the waitresses were very nice. We also got our diving certification through them, and we had a wonderful experience. Nick, our instructor, did a fabulous job. The class sizes are small--my boyfriend and I were the only ones in the class during peak season, and he prepared us very well for future dives. Overall a fantastic experience--I recommend them to everyone.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Simple Life Resort for 8 nights at the beginning of December 2010. Our room was really nice with hot shower, refrigerator, double bed and balcony. The Simple Life Resort staff were very accommodating in ordering us taxis or checking how late the mini-golf course was open. They also arranged a take-out breakfast (in place of the already paid for buffet breakfast) when we needed to leave super early for a dive. We also did some diving with the Simple Life Divers at discounted prices, because we were staying at the same resort. The dive shop instructors and dive masters were really laid back professionals and they definitely made our diving experience fantastic! :)

这是我这次旅行中最喜欢的一家酒店，房间和卫生间都很大，有一个很nice的阳台，最好的是有免费的wifi可以用。服务也不错，前台的服务员很热情的帮我预订各种一日游的旅行团。从酒店到海滩可能要5分钟的路程，但是并没有任何影响。酒店的早餐不那么好，可选择的太少了。而且我登录当地的siameservices，发现登录界面和国内并不一样，而且促销幅度更大，不知道是不是专门针对泰国国内的促销活动。

The resort was ok, but felt a bit sloppy, rooms, service, breakfast, etc. The room was on the 3rd floor and was a good size, bathroom was huge (but had issues with elecric shock when touching the shower faucet - weired). Pool looked ok - haven't used it. Guy at the reception tried to look helpful, but really wasn't trying to help. Breakfast was mediocre with more flies than food around. Housekeeping went through my stuff one day - it was some guy cleaning that day, and not usual 2 ladies. The way I know is one detail of my backpack was left in a particular way that I never leave it in - don't want to give out specifics... Thankfully, I carried all my money on me that day so nothing was missing - but still left an unpleasant aftertaste. Watch out! The safe in our room was conveniently out-of-order the whole time we stayed there and nothing was done by hotel stuff to fix it. The hot water in the shower was greasy and smelled of machine oil the first couple minutes that you run it - and then seemed to get better. AC worked fine, as well as fridge and TV. Free transfer to and from the pier was helpful. In general, I would probably recommend this place if you are looking for a better mid-range accomodation than just a bugalow with a fan - but I would not stay there again myself :)

hotel room was nice. Was not cleaned well. The bathroom mirror and toilet left dirty. The Breakfast was on offer untill 12 pm, wich was good as we could have it after diving all morning.However the yogurt sat on the counter from 7.30pm untill 12 pm without ice or refrigeration. i got sick after eating it. food hadling skills were not good.

This was my second stay at Simple Life. I like the fact that it's new, clean, and central to Sairee Beach. The restaurant is a nice space and great for a post dive get together. The ride from the dock is included and only takes minutes in a newer truck-taxi. Breakfast buffet was included as well. All in I got a new clean room with modern facilities and A/C, two way shuttle and breakfast for BT1900 per night.

In March 2010 huge construction work going on behind the hotel with terrible loud noise which makes staying in the room in the day quite unpleasant. Hotel staff is more unfriendly than anything I have seen in Thailand hotels in the last 10 years.Very nicely decorated rooms but would need very thorough cleaning. Everywhere dustpiles on top of cupboards, dirty towels, dirty tiles in the bathroom on which you even could write on the smeary surface. Has technical issues with shower on which you get electric shocks probably due to a missing proper grounding of the metal parts. Left hotel after 3 of the 6 booked days and after discussing with siameservices customer service which was very helpful und understanding got the money back for this 3 days

Be booked a room in the (cheapest)standard category. The room was big for this category and everything was new. But: in night you can hear and understand every word and every sound from the neighbour-rooms-because of this we had a problem with sleeping (When other people come back 3 o clock in night and talk in normal loudness,we everytime wake up from this and we can understand every word and hear every other sound-if you know what I mean). When other people in night open/close the door of their room or of their bathroom,it is loud, and we wake up every night because of this 3 or 4 times. The floor of the bath-room was not completed 100%. From the bath-room often moskitos come in the living-room although we closed this door always;I think,they find a way under the door,because there is 2-3cm space.

Lovely hotel. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The pool was clean and the location ideal. Beach and shops only a minute away. However, when we arrived at about 4pm we checked in but found that our room had not yet been cleaned from the last person that stayed there. It was no problem for us as we just left our bags and had a look around for a while and it was ready for when we got back. However if you had a long journey then this would be a bit of an inconvenience. The following day our room also wasnt cleaned. We were out from 8am to 4.30pm and the maids knocked on the door at 4.45 to clean it. A bit late as it should be done earlier in the day when the guest are out not after they return from day trips! We just took some clean towels and told them not to bother. Breakfast was good, a wide selection of food and staff were friendly and helpful. There was a bit of building work going in the hotel and around it but from our experience of thailand this is common everywhere. It was only really noisy in the afternoon so not too much of a problem. Other than the cleaning problems i would definatly stay here again it was quite pricey for thailand but definatly the nicest place that we stayed in. In fact we wanted to stay longer but the hotel was booked up!

We stayed 2 nights in a standard room and then 4 nights in Superior. The standard room was just..uhm..standard, and overpriced in my opinion. The superior room, however, was spacious and very stylish (I practically fell in love with our bathroom). The location of the resort is just in the heart of Sairee village but that was unexpectedly quiet thanks to the adjacent buildings. It takes just a couple of minutes to walk to the beach. The staff was very friendly and spoke good English. Overall I enjoyed the stay and had no complaints whatsoever. Just make sure you book a Superior room.

We made a reservation for one week in a superior room. When we arrived, we noticed immediately that we would like to stay longer. The room is great with a really nice bathroom. There is also enough room to store all belongings. The pool is very clean and it is nice to hang around there. The staff is really friendly and they speak good English. To walk to the beach it takes only about 2 minutes. When we come back to Koh Tao we would definetly come back to this hotel because we think it is one of the greatest around here.
