Bungalowen ok!Finns ingen strand utanför området, väldigt mycket sten när man skall ta sig ut i havet. Personalen väldigt skiftande.När vi skulle checka ut så fick vi betala för vattnet, som de sa var fritt till oss när vi checkade in! Åker inte hit igen!

Very nice hotel in a quiet part of WSB. Clean, nice restaurant, bungalows a few meters from the beach. Pool very basic but no need for pool when living practically on the beach. Travelling with two small children and Banpu was perfect for our needs.

Banpu is the nicest, quietest hotel along White Sand beach. Peaceful, low key - not like Kascha or KC where there are just too many people there. Banpu is very nicely maintained, fabulous bathroom with river pebbled walls. Fantastic breakfast - the staff there even remembered that I like fresh chilli in my omelette! Owned and run by Thais - it makes such a difference with the care & detail of the gardens & grounds. The pool man was attentive to any leaf falling, the kicthen staff were efficient, the cleaners even made different animals with the bath towels in our room on a few days! That was fun! Just a delight to stay at. 100m down the beach are all the restaurants on the sand, so it's all there. Banpu is quiet, relaxed, clean & the food is fast and tasty.

Trevlig bungalow som låg väldigt lummigt och fint bland palmerna. Ett perfekt läge på WSB då det ligger i slutet av stranden på ett lite lugnare område. Här kan man både vara lite avskilt eller promenera en bit på stranden för att se lite mer folk och rörelse. God frukost med allt som man kan önska sig med omelett, musli, yoghurt och färsk frukt.

Jäkla skit hotell som inte kan hålla reda på bokningar. Bokade för 7 månader sedan,men inte fan fanns vi med, fick kolla på Aana hotell 5km därifrån,vi tog detta orkade inte yjafsa med folket. Dageb efter kommer nästa folk med samma elände och med en gratislapp på en middag. Verkar vara deras grej att överboka men tråkigt för oss som råkar ut för detta

Hotel service as regards cleaning is excellent but some in the reception staff is below expectation. On my birthday my daughter called on the hotel phone and asked the reception to try to reach me but they were not helpful and no message was given to me. Furthermore the reception argued about one towel which was quite dirty due to a damage and they said they would charge us if the towel could not be cleaned. What was the problem? We asked if it was the first time they had seen a towel with blood on but the woman in charge meant that the problem was ours and not theirs. Very strange!

We were very disappointed when we arrived at this resort. We had booked and prepaid a deluxe bungalow at this resort for 3 nights. Whem we arrived they said they did not have any bungalow at all available for us. When we got upset they only giggled about it and said but we are fully booked ... After some persuasion we got a 2 bed room in the main building and we got some of the money back. Anyway, we had really wanted to stay in the bungalow and it is not the same to get a room instead. Later on we met another customer from this hotel and he had also booked a room and prepaid it and when he arrived they didn´t have any room at all for him so they sent him to klong prao beach for one night and paid for his room in another hotel. It seems like they don´t have any control of their bookings. There is no beach in front of the resort, you need to walk further north on the beach. We would not go back to this place.

Very great location right on the beach (Supparod pier is the nearest pier), cosy surrounding&room, good food with reasonable price, limited car park, good staff even some men at the restaurant didn't smile much, but helpful anyway . Strongly suggest to go to Klongplu waterfall, not so far from hotel, (except in Summer snorkeling is a must) and also try delicious and cheap food at Bangbao bay(quite far from hotel).

Nice hotel, good location by the beach. Staff friendly and helpful, but only two of the staff talked passable english. Breakfast poor and unimaginative. Lots of small ants in the hotel, looking for anything sweet. Sharp rocks on the beach made it hazardus during flood. The best hotel at White Sands Beach for 1200B, but don´t pay more.

Friendly staff even if the English seems a little lacking even by Thai standards. The staff was very accomodating. Electric hot water kettle was broken but was replaced immediately. Pleasant one day stay. Swimming pool is a little small but the view to the sea is incredible.

well, we booked for 4 nite staying but as we arrived the hotel,the staff told us that we would need to change to another room after 2nd day so my upset friend asked the reason why we didn't get notice in advance....Again w/o any explanation the staff had re-arranged our room to stay all time. Somwhow I felt they were not professional... Then I was shouted by a staff in buffet on one morning just becuz I was pouring coffee from wrong pot as I failed to notice the sigh of boiling from coffee maker..A/way, I was irritated by his rudeness as I apologized immediately but he didn't response me...The hotel should have more trained crews with more friendly service...And a smile wouldn't hurt.. In general,the atmosphere and jungle garden are great and seafood is also tasty in the restaurant(price is also reasonable compared with others from outside)

I stayed at the Banpu for 6 nights. The standard room at the Banpu was dark but decent, with a limited view of the beach and the water. Having said that, my experience with some of the staff at the Banpu was less than professional. Upon check in, I accidently gave the staff a voucher for a different hotel. I did not discover this until 3 days later, when I inquired about any possible expenses, and was told my voucher was not valid. Although I cannot blame my mistake on the person who checked me in, she apparently did not read the voucher. I could have given her a piece of paper that said anything, and she probably would have checked me in. This same woman who checked me in made no attempt to be friendly. She did not smile, she made limited eye contact, and when I asked her questions about the room she would responed in a tone of voice that indicated I should alreday know these answers, and that she did not want to be bothered. During the daily buffet breakfast, the staff in the dining area also projected a similar attitude as this woman who checked me in - they did not want to be bothered. As for the buffet, compared to other hotel buffets in a similar price range, the food was substandard, in terms of the taste. Also, if an item ran out, even 1 or 2 hours before the end of the breakfast period, it would often not be refilled. And, spoiled fruit at the buffet occurred on 2 occasions. The hotel had construction going on in the main building where my room was located. Unlike other hotels on SiameServices, this hotel did not provide a notice about this. In addition to the noise, there was at least 1 day when the fumes were so bad I could not stay in my room during the daytime. Also, the air con unit, located on the ceiling, leaked water on the floor in the middle of the room. Although the hotel attempted to fix this, the problem persisted each day. If you are going to Koh Chang, and will stay on White Sand Beach, my recommendation is to make a reservation at the Koh Chang Kacha hotel. It is almost next to the Banpu, and the price range is similar to the Banpu. I interacted with the Kacha staff several times, and they were considerably more friendly and professional, compared to the Banpu.

I had used SiamWebHosting before this most recent reservation, and I would use them again. I just have one suggestion. When you pay SiamWebHosting by credit card, they say something to the effect that the bank will convert the charge from Thai Baht to your local currency. And, yes, they do this. But in my case, and I suspect as a rule, they charge an extra 4%. It would be helpful if SiamWebHosting would say this is what the conversion rate is.

This is a very friendly resort and I will certainly stay there again. However the resort does need some serious refurbishment in order to make it reasonably comfortable. I stayed in a standard room which felt very stuffy. The air con unit was rather weak and took quite some time to bring the room to a reasonable level of coolness. One of the twin beds sloped from right to left and I felt I was in imminent danger of rolling onto the floor. The bamboo deck chairs on the balcony were extremely uncomfortable and really should be replaced. Voices talking and the sound of the tv from the next room could clearly be heard in mine, as could the traffic noise from the main road. The view from the balcony was very disappointing - no sea view as claimed in the hotel's brochure, merely a roof and tree leaves. On the plus side the staff cleaned the room efeciently and the bathroom was stocked with a lovely lemon grass scented shower gel. In the restaurant the staff were lovely, but rather shy as only the Captain was confident at speaking English. Her name is Poom and she is excellent, if overworked, poor girl. However the waiters do need training as to when to clear tables and also how to make sure that the diners have everything they need such as condiments. Perhaps the worst aspect of the hotel was the state of the small swimming pool. Despite the best efforts of the pool attendant, the water looked green, cloudy and greasy on the surface. My eyes stang as I used it and went very red afterwards, suggesting an overuse of chlorine. Perhaps the best solution would be for the hotel to change to a salt water system. All this said, I liked the smallness and general quietness of the resort and the very friendly staff. I will try to stay in the more expensive bungalows on my next visit and see if this overcomes some of the problems I have mentioned above. My best memories of the hotel are the view of the sea from the sun beds and trying to chat in Thai with the charming restaurant staff.
