Many people in the front desk and talking loudly. No one come to look after me when i arrived there until i went to call them. In the morning 9am I went to have breakfast again Many people in the front desk and talking loudly. On the desk that they prepare food for us very dirty. Many food drop on the table and maybe other guests already used the plate or cup still there. No one tidy it.In addition, No cup for coffee, No knife. Very messy on the table. But they has many people in the front desk still talking. One man just waiting to receive the ticket from us but didn't check anything for us. My room has cigarette butt in the bath room. I am so disappoint for this trip.I come back in Wang thong this time coz I had been stayed before. The food more nice. Moreover, The guest room has been renovate that look good. But service, staff need to be improved. Thank you.

Stayed here fir the third time. Even though improvement on the room had been done, it still feel a bit run down. Dont even bother to wake up early for the breakfast - cold and stiff bread. One good thing though its free wifi at the lobby area - can catch up with emails from office (not good thing to do when you are on holiday though).

This is my third stay at the Wang Thong. A very old hotel that was probably the best in N. Thailand in it's hey-day with a huge bar and ball rooms with ornate fixtures and marble, but now it's a bit run down. Still a nice staff and close to the Myanmar border and shopping near-by makes me come back. I ve only had trouble getting taxis out of there to show up on time. Not the best of rooms, but passable.

This hotel in Mae Sai seemed to have a lot of guests...However,strange enough\r\nduring our stay only 2 persons in the hotel understood english a little and none of them worked in the reception.(??????)The persons in the reception did not understand a word of english when f.ex. trying to deliver 2 Vouchers for 2 paid nights at the hotel.They also tried to charge us for 3 times more than was the correct sum of money when we checked out.The hotel is good ,but very used rooms,the owners must take out a lot of profit without given investments back in repairs etc.The breakfast is not the best.If there is a better choice of hotel next time I visit M.Sai, I will choose that.

Deluxe room was clean and my bag was carried up for me. The pool area is in a horrible shape, with plants dead or dying. Water level was too low and the filter pump seemed to be turned off. Hotel is o.k for a visa run i guess... I didnt get my promised Myanmar view, instead i had a view onto an appartment building on the third floor. Nothing much to do in Mai Sai, but they have a karaoke and some shopping (market) every evening.

This hotel is located near the border of Myanmar and very convenient to stay. But around here, if you want to take a meal, there are only outstanding restaurants. (actually some restaurant is exist but no customers in there) I think this is good situation for foreigner to enjoy Thai local life style. And further in Myanmar, at Tachleik, my first impression is dusty atmosphere.

First impressions were great, however, at a closer look we realised that this hotel was of a budget accommodation standard. The toilet would not flush properly, the 2 lamps on the wall were about to fall off and various light bulbs were not working. The power point behind the bedside table was exposed and could be considered dangerous. The breakfast( eggs were cold and the toaster was not working properly ) At least they had lifts whereas all the other hotels we stayed in we had to carry our belongings up steep stairways.

Quite chinese hotel. AAaa little old, but ok at a high season price of 950 Baht per night. A great hotel if you are in Mae Sai for a Visa run, or visiting the golden triangle. The food was good too and they have a clean pool. Funny thing was, that the phone in the bathroom dated some approx. 40 years back. Looked russian? Anyway, i enjoyed my stay at The WWWWwang Tong hotel in Mae Sai, which is Thailand most northern city.

Hotel seems to have seen better times. Their website and leaflets show a very nice hotel, which unfortunatly now needs a lot of renovation to reach this goal. Nearly no English speaking personnel available. Have been there 3 times already as I need to stay there and have no better alternatives but standard and service seems to degrade from time to time.

I book Baht550 hotel room, and it turned out to be a fan room without any advanced informed. The bed cover got stained, the room smell humid. The fan room is opposite to air-conditioned room as the building is in L shape, the entrance to fan room is dirty, clutter and being used as storage for hotel supply. First room checked in does not have water, so hotel has to offer a new room. The hotel staff kept on emphasising on fan room and air conditioned room when there is any contact, breakfast was running out and taken long to replenish. The breakfast setting in the hotel was dirty, as some sauce finished. customer use folk to take the sauce from the bottle out left on the table, which made a mess and look disgusting. The juice is not fresh juice, instead it was like cordial type juice.

I heard alot of negative comments about this hotel in this so called undevelop place - Mae Sai. For your information, you will be very surprise when you are really there. The receiptionist is friendly and courtes, the bell boy is kind and helpfull and the best part is even the house maid untiring effort had unlighten me. What else do we want to comment more, for the price we are paying and in return we get clean, good location, friendly and most of all they (Wang Thong Staff) pay us with a sincere smile when we leave the place. My kind advise is, before we want them to learn our culture and custom, let us learn theirs 1st and I can guarantee you, the price you pay for staying there will definitely have a hefty return you can't imagine.
