Best location, staff attandace very good. The hotel itsself is a bit run down, right now they have started the renovation. If the renovation is finished this can be a good Princess Hotel again.

We stayed here for the second time in exactly the same room. As always, the staff is very helpfull and friendly. My son got sick and they took us to the hospital with their driver service, helped with all the procedures there and asking them how much all this would be, they just smiled. We are very thankful for this. On the other side, the rooms need renewing. One can see easily that there have been many visitors before.... Nevertheless, we would come back again. Because it is located right in the Nightmarket and the pool - after a hot day - is a wonderful change.

It is so nice to stay in lovely Hotel like Royal princess Hotel it has a very good spot just near the airport and in the middle of all facilities like shopping malls public markets Fast Food shops supermarket, laundries and others. But I have one negative thing I have to mention to your Hotel administration as we are Moslems we use to have water tap for washing after using the WC and this something very important for us but unfortunately we have not seen this facility in your lovely Hotel. Also before I live the Hotel I have seen one of your senior administration or may be customer services officer was standing in front of the lobby having chat with some European residences like English, Americans, Italians, and others but he never bather him self to even took at us or talk to us like he did with others, And this behavior reflect very negative view about your Hotel reputation. He should have treat his guests equally not to discriminate between them. Thank you very much for your concern about us and our tour comfort.

Great location right in the heart of night bazaar however the rooms were not as nice as the photos looked on the website. The staff were lovely and very helpful but quality of the rooms just let the place down. It must have been flash 70 - 80's and they have attempted to upgrade but not quite cut mustard. The fridges are so old they almost look retro-cool. It just needs a bit of an upgrade. Food however was nice and considering the cheap price - you get what you pay for and it is worth it for the location, you walk out the door into the night bazaar madness. Pick up service was good too.

The hotel was very nice. Its was clean and well maintianed. The breakfast was also good. I like spending time at the pool and it was nice and had towel service. The gym was minimal but some basic weights and a tred mid is the most you can expect any way. It was very well located near if not in the middle of the night bazar area. We rented a scooted and was in the midst of Songkran in about 2 minutes. I plan to stay there next year for Songkran.

The Royal Princess has an excellent location in Chiang Mai - right in the night bazaar but yet not affected by the noise. Breakfasts are excellent. We were a little disappointed by the deluxe room we had especially after the ambience of the reception area (you d think you were entering a royal palace!). Overall, very pleasing.

Although not a new hotel, the facilities are very nice and supported by friendly efficient staff - I liked the breakfast concept and all food was fresh and menus rotated daily - noodles/soups etc. Location is very central,walking distance to anything you wish to see particilarly at night at the Bazaar.

Our stay the royal princess was excellent. right in the center of the night bizare area ,a great location. the only real complaint is that the beds are too hard, like a rock, and ended up with back pain every day. however this applies to every hotel I have ever stayed in thailand. the rooms are a nice decor , but not very big , just enough room. The only other complaint would be that they love tiger balm or some incense of similar smell and all the hotel smelt of it. there was a good pool area , just big enough to relax in and a small gym which was good for a workout. Breakfast was a huge buffet included in the price and the food was excellent. Staff were great and attentive with good english ability. overall very good. Rates were about 3250bt per nigh so not super cheap but good quality without paying too much.

Booked two rooms for 5 days including Christmas Eve. Good location if you want to be in the tourist area including the Night Bazaar. Right across the street is Duke's with what seemed like the best warm spinach salad and Swiss mushroom burger in the world after the hotel foot. Breakfast is adequate but the downstairs cafe food isn't exceptional and don't order the cheese burger. Our rooms were not on the Night Bazaar street and were quiet. There are many new hotels in Chiang Mai and there is speculation that the insiders belive gambling is coming to Chiang Mai. The Royal Princess has a lot of competition. The hotel internet rates are excessive but there are 60 and 30 baht per hour access spots easily accessible nearby including one across the street with Skype - when it's open.

Really good location if you like the night market as it is right in the middle of it. Not noisy even at night but I guess I get the higher floor. Like the service of the hotel and the breakfast is good too. Room is a bit tired but spacious. Value stay overall!

Good location right at the night bazaar. Rooms are spacious and quiet with large mirrors. Furnishings and equipment are very old and used. Carpet, shower curtain etc. should be replaced. All in all a fair deal for 2200 Baht/per night. However, prices for any extras in this hotel are excessive compared to what I saw in Bangkok and Phuket. Internet access (works only with wire and you will need assistance to find the plug) costs 250 Baht per hour... Suggest to go Starbucks next door and surf for 150 Baht. Also laundry is twice or triple as much as it could be, so I did this when back in my Hotel in Bangkok.

If you need a room at short notice, I suggest to reserve it with the hotel directly. Full payment to and confirmation by siamwebhosting.com is obviously no guarantee that you have a place to sleep... A day after check in the booking arrived at the hotel so I was happy that I had to pay this bill only once (even I paid 2200 baht to SiamWebHosting.com for the twin room instead of 2000 Baht for the single which I eventually got because I showed up alone). [ADDED remark by SiamWebHosting: The booking was send the day before, however the hotel's reservation staff might be already gone and have missed it. We Apologize.

It was our honeymoon and my first visit to Thailand me and to my husband we really enjoyed the good service the nice hosptality of the staff as they always smile, the room was nice and clean the bathroom is nice, the location is great right next to Mc donalds, starbucks, costa and most important the night bazar, no need for any transportation as everything is near by. In our next visit to chiang mai i think this will be our hotel again and i will recommend it to everyone i know.

This was my first visit to Chiang Mai and I was glad to have stayed at this hotel. Although the rooms could do with some updating they are spacious and clean, and though the bathrooms are also dated the showers were good. The staff are excellent, courteous, friendly and helpful. Food in the ground floor restuarant was great and breakfast had European and Thai choices. Waiting staff served with smiles and class ! Location is excellent being near the night bazzar and also opposite a couple of cheap and decent cafes, with more upmarket ones round the corner. I said I would also give a mention to a female taxi driver named Miss Porn (no joke !) who might appeal to females and families...she was a safe and pleasant driver I would recommend this location and this hotel

Superb Location. Surrounded by McDonald s, Starbucks, and of course right in front of the Night Bazzar. Service is polished, and breakfast is decent. Gym is rather basic, pool is clean. Would recommend it. My family enjoyed our stay. Thank you for the Thai hospitality. Keep it up!

Hotel is clean and decent. The rooms are a bit old, but were clean. Great location. Would have liked the King size bed, but only doubles were available--just too small for two people to share.
