Spanish. Otra vez volvi a alojarme en el hotel. No sabia como estaba Bangkok despues de la muerte de 60 personas en los sucesos políticos de mayo, y quise quedarme cerca del aeropuerto. Era el 23 y 24 de mayo.Otra vez el servicio de recogida del aeropuerto fue excelente. Esta vez probé a ir del hotel a la estacion On Nuit del skytren que es la mas próxima en taxi desde el hotel. Los del hotel me lo llamaron. Era un domingo. El taxi tardo media hora en hacer 21.3 Km y cobró 160 Bath. Luego en el tren en 15 minutos estabamos en pleno centro. Es muy facil. La misma avenida que pàsa por la puerta del hotel pasa por la estación del sky. Solo faltando unos 200 m (hay un carrefour a la izquierda...estas llegando) hace tope contra otra avenida y dobla a la izquierda. Es imposible perderse.Al dia siguiente hice lo mismo en la hora pico. 7 de la mañana, Tardo una hora por los atascos y cobro 200 bath.Volvi de noche a las 20:00. Tardo media hora 160 bath....IMPORTANTE: pedir a la recepcionista del hotel la direccion del hotel en Thai. La tienen impresa. Tambien te dan un plano. Esto es en general en toda Tailandia.Cuando pides un taxi no lo llaman por TE. Un boy del hotel va hasta la avenida ( 50 m) y pide uno....es igual ir a la avenida y tomarlo. Son los que circulan hacia la derecha.

Comentario en spanish. Veniamos de un viaje desde Buenos Aires via japon. Unas 24 hs de vuelo, Y la gente del hotel estaba alli para recogernos. Estan a la salida de las valijas en el sector entre A y B numero 4. Es el segundo piso del aeropuerto.Me sorprendio encontrarlos con mi nombre correctamente impreso. El hotel muy bien para el precio. Habitacion limpia, Aire acondicionado OK ( hacia 37 C afuera). Agua caliente y toallas limpias. Muy bien !!. Personal atento. NO reservar con desayuno. Hay un supermarket enfrente abierto toda la noche !!. Tambien hay puestos callejeros de comida.No vale la pena duplicar precio por el desayuno. Por 3 o 4 dolares se puede desayunar en el market. El hotel tiene una zona de mesas y bancos fuera donde tambien se puede desayunar lo que se compra en el mercado. Perfecto para una noche. Esta a una media hora de la estacion del BTS On Nut ( que es la mas cercana ). Esto cuesta unos 160 Bath. Pero eso no lo ensayamos fue el comentario de la recepcionista.

Motel style accommodation. The room was simple but clean. Ideal for overnight stay prior to catching a flight, particularly as the hotel will take you from / to Suvarnabhum airport. There is a restaurant and convenience shop close by. Good value for money in my opinion.

Hotel fine and staff friendly and efficient. Some noise from nearby kareoke bars. Taxi driver from BKK airport had hard time to find this hotel having to ask directions twice.

We used this hotel as a quick stopover between flights and it was excellent for this. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the shuttle service was very efficient. I would use it again as a stopover.

I am afraid I can't say that I feel satisfied about the hotel at all. I don't know the reason why the hotel is recommended by SiameServices, but I would definitely not recommend it to anyone else, considering the low credibility of the hotel. If a customer can't get rooms he paid for, what else could he expect from a hotel? Our experience at Silver Gold didn't have a good start. First the car that was supposed to transport us from the airport to hotel didn't show up as it should when we arrived in Bangkok in early morning Jan. 23. And this happened after I wrote to SiameServices to confirm the transport service two days before arrival. Our group, 15 people all together, including seniors and 3 children, had to wait at the airport at 2 a.m. in early morning for the hotel to send cars to pick us up after the airport service counter contacted the hotel. But this wasn't the worst part of the stay. When we arrived at the hotel around 2:30 a.m, we were told that there were not enough rooms for us. We booked five rooms and they had only 4 rooms left. They argued that we arrived too late and they were not sure if we would check in that day, which is totally nonsense. We didn't only booked, we paid for five rooms through SiameServices before arrival, and the best they offered was 4 rooms and 2 extra beds. It was late in night and children were really tired, so the whole group had to accomodate in these 4 rooms and in some rooms, three to four people have to share two beds. The hotel did appologize, but couldn't offer any better solution. They refused to give us any money back, arguing that they offered extra beds. I don't know how many people would accept the logic that 2 extra beds=one standard room, but I don t. We initially chose this hotel for a short overnight stay because of its geographic advantage (close to the airport) and the trust over SiameServices's recommendation, but it turns out this one was a disappointment. I sincerely hope what my families and I experienced at this hotel would be an isolate case.

The hotel was basic and very clean and had everything I needed for an overnight stay. Since I had to be at the airport at 5:00am this hotel was very convenient and also provided shuttle service to the airport. There are convenience stores near by and also a small night market. Besides that, nothing much around the area. If you re staying in Bangkok for more than a few days, stay in town where the majority of hotels are. This hotel is only good if you need to catch an early flight and need to be close to the airport

I spent the night in this hotel on my way from San Francisco to Phnom Penh. I got in late in Bangkok. The driver was there to meet me and take me to a simple, but very clean and comfortable hotel. I had a good night's sleep in a quiet environment with a good breakfast the next morning. It is out of town so shopping was not an option. I would stay there again.

It's useful as a lay-over while waiting for a flight or as a place to head to after arriving before travelling further. It's clean and the minibus to the airport is very useful. However, I had an end room and there was a slight smell from outside with all windows closed. The only real gripe was the early morning racket from dogs that woke me and kept me awake. The taxi driver couldn't find it with a map and three calls to the reception. I did get some food from the market outside and enjoyed it.

Silver Gold Garden was a quiet, simple, and clean place to stay. There was an outdoor Thai restaurant nearby with good food reasonably priced. Other than that, this small hotel is in the middle of nowhere with only a 7-11 down the street to grab a snack. Rooms are small and ordinary, but the beds are comfortable. It was a fine place for overnight. The free van service from and to airport was prompt and friendly.

I booked a room here for my mother who was visiting from the states and stayed just one night before catching a plane back home early the next morning. The following is an excerpt from an e-mail she sent after she got home: After my shower, I went downstairs to have a bite to eat. The manager said the hotel restaurant was open. When I walked in, a very grumpy cook said no, no food, come back 6:00 (PM). When I asked what the prices were for certain dishes, he immediately raised the prices to double. I pointed to the written amount on the menu and he said nothing. Wow. Rude behavior in Thailand is rare up front and personal, but what the heck....not my problem unless I make it so, right? I walked back to the front desk and talked to the the lady manager, who got visibly upset and called the cafe. Lots of words. She said she would report this to the owner because the restaurant was supposed to be open all day for the hotel guests because it's part of the hotel itself. Oh well. I don't want an unhappy, mean person to make my food. Although I was not there to witness this personally, I feel it is a shame that my mother's last night in Thailand was marred by this experience - the point regarding price doubling is especially troubling.
