This hotel was far below expectations This is the type of hotel you would expect to pay 800 Baht for I was booked for 10 days but left after 2 We kept losing all power in room and hallway because the breakers kept blowing There was no hot water for the shower and the shower was broke so you has to hold on to the shower head because the holder was broken The shower had black mold in it every morning we woke up with sore throat and all stuffed up There was also big spider webs in shower and bathroom they never did clean them up when you turn on the bathroom sink faucet it is so old that water shot all over out the sides of it one stream directly at the electrical outlet Opened up the bar fridge to find about 1 litre of water pour out Fridge not working Stay away from this hotel there are many around the area for less money that are far better

Pleasant stay although we ve spent time mostly with the tour packages and dining. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. I ve even borrowed a universal adaptor from the front desk staff. Very accommodating! Great stay so far. Great for family with 1-2 kids.

Small and nice hotel but very far into the Soi 8th Located almost at the end of the street. The staff was good but could learn better English. The rooms were clean and nice. The room had an LCD-TV and many TV channels and DVD player. In the reception has DVD movies you can borrow for free. We rented two rooms and traveled with one six month baby and it went fine. The hotel has an elevator. If the hotel has good promotional prices, we will return. The worst thing is that you can not extend more nights at promotional prices if you have booked through R24.org at the hotel but have to make a new reservation via the website. It is bad! Otherwise, we think that the hotel is good.

This was my third stay at Salil. A pleasant surprise since my last visit was the addition of an elevator. This is a nice little boutique hotel, reasonably priced and conveniently located. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Salil is in a quiet part of Soi 8, a short golf cart ride or walk from Sukhumvit and the Sky Train Nana Station. The rooms are small, but nice.

The very first day i go to the hotel with pub.taxi frm Survabhumi Airport with just 35 minutes. There is not confusing with showing your hotel's address to the driver and u'll b there! Arrvd in hotel, there will b very generous and kindly staffs will help and assist all the way til u get ur reserved room. The room services within my 5night stays just perfect and ready at anytime. Transportation with 5-10 minutes walk to NANA MRT station or just ask for the hotel's tuk-tuk to get u there with no charge at all! Very busy street that u can find everything here from delicious foods, massage & spa, hotels, 7/11 24hours convenience shop, and of course taxi/ tuk-tuk. Just get the price on tuk-tuk or taxi and u'll have a very peaceful of mind on ur journey! At night the city become just like what its name The City Of Angel There have alots of handy made souvernies all long the street and here we are the pubs that u sit and get ur drinks and enjoy....

Very nice hotel for the price. Just a short walk from the sky train station. Close to many of the big shopping centers in centrum. In the midle of the town but still quiet in the street around the hotel. Frendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was very good. Good Hotel (Value for Money) I will recommend this hotel. If you need more informations please translate my German report below. Kleines, aber sauberes Hotel und in einer ruhigen der vielen Seitenstrassen der Sukumvit Strasse (Soi 8). Etwa 300 m bzw. 5 min zu Fuß von der Hauptstrasse und somit von der ** NANA ** BTS Skytrain Station entfernt. Das Hotel bietet einen 24 Std. kostenlosen Golfcaddy Service zur Hauptstrasse und zurück an. Super Service. Das Personal ist sehr nett und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Ich kann das Hotel wirklich empfehlen und werde es bei bei nächsten Aufenthalt in Bangkok wieder buchen.

The room is smaller than on the internet. The Aircon was noisy and blasted cold cold air throughout the night. Overall we were happy there and found the location fantastic, quiet and near all the action. We did not plan to stay in the hotel and to rather see the city so this hotel suited our needs. Very nice little place, small room but nicely done, quiet, confortable. A bit of a trek getting up 3 flights of stairs with your luggage though, plus it is quite a way from the main road and the sky train. There is a free tuk-tuk which was available most of the times I needed it (but not on the way back, but it is only 5 mins walk). The staff wer very friendly and made a good effort, though I had to deal mainly with trainees whose English was bad and a few simple requests were messed up a bit by the staff, or they were unable to know what to do. But they did try and their attitude was very good. Nice place, I think worth the money if you don't mind the mild inconvenience of the slightly removed location.

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel. The good points were it is in a nice quiet location. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and it had an excellent shower. One can rent free DVD movies to watch. It had a free golf car on call to take guests to the main road. The free breakfast was quite good. The bad points were. It had no where to park a car, other than the narrow soi outside. The cable TV network was not True Move (which is better for westerners). There is no elevator. In conclusion it is quite a nice hotel to stay in but it is a little more expensive than it should be. I have stayed in Bangkok hotels its equal or better for less.

Best kept secret! I am very pleased with Salil Hotel. It is a charming little boutique hotel just far enough froom Sukhumvit to be peaceful and quiet. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The coffee shop has very good coffee by any standards-not the bitter stuff in many restaurants here. The free golf cart to and from Sukhumvit is very handy. Everything works:plumbing electrical, Wi-Fi. I sense there are brains behind this hotel.

Nice hotel, its my third time in this hotel . I had a nice superior room at the top floor ( Fourth Floor). only draw back about this hotel that it has NO elevator. Getting to the first and second floor is no problem , but to the third and fourth you will feel the kick in heart unless in your good shape. The Salil is a lovely hotel, in very good condition and with helpful and pleasant staff. It's not cheap but I would say you get what you pay for here.

Small, simple, quiet but good. Very near to the main road Sukhumvit and Nana BTS station. The golf caddy service from hotel to the main road vv. is fast and reliable (for those who want to walk, a walk is also possible)

9/10! amazing hotel. good location (nana station on sukhumvit 8), kind and courteous staff, rotating breakfast menu, free dvd rentals, golf cart transport service to and from skytrain, clean rooms. small caveats: uber-tiny bathtubs and thin walls with little barrier to sound.

The staffs of the hotel are friendly and helpfull. Eventhough it is located almost the end of soi 8 but the free buggy ride to and fro hotel to the main road is helpful. if you walk it will take u around 10 mins. The room is a great escape from the busy sukhumvit life and for sure i would come back there again. If you prefer noisy life outside the hotel and quiet and calm inside your room, than this is the place for you.

This hotel is lovely and clean, however when I checked in there was a staff member lying on the floor in my room talking on her mobile phone. Rooms are great, but there is no lift and no ground floor rooms so if you are disabled in any way or find stairs difficult then I would not recommend this hotel.

salil hotel is a bit far away from the subway,but the most problem is :the hotel is not quiet because we heard many noises,the walls are not enough big but staff are friendly.

Room size fine. Large nice bathroom. Aircon quite weak and takes too long to cool the room. Lots of tv channels but mainly thai and arabic and no espn which is disappointing. No lift. Friendly staff. 10min wlk to BTS station but free tuktuk. Buffet breakfast only average. Free dvds to hire. OVERALL: WIll probably stay elsewhere next time as can get cheaper accom of same standard in similar location.

The Salil Hotel is a pleasant small hotel that offers more than the price would indicate. Comfort, quiet neighbourhood, pretty rooms (not big but very comfortable), the only thing is the occasional noisiness by quests who return during the night to their rooms.

The Salil is small and clean hotel over 3 floors. The rooms are small but clean with good size showers. The food is good by Bangkok mid-range standards. The desk and lobby staff are freindly. Wireless braodband in the rooms is a plus. There is a free golf-cart to run you back and forwards to the main Rd (Sukhumvit). 8 minute to the sky train. The only sore point is I asked for a non-smoking room and it was clear they allow smoking in it (ashtray and cigs in the mini bar for sale), so it was musky. Lucky the air-conditioning worked well. I will stay there again in August.

It was a nice hotel but bathroom is bit small. no pool was a disappointment. people are good not english is problem. the only thing i dont like was, they charge 200 bhat for laundry bag which was not there with us... rest all is good.

We truly enjoyed this quiet, nice hotel in buzzing Bangkok offering us and our kids a relaxing and comfortable surrounding. The room was good, the little restaurant very pleasant. Unfortunately the usual sex tourists also discovered the charme of this hotel.

This hotel is a new two floor, just opened few month ago.. they have around 25 superior rooms , and around 2 deluxe rooms. if You are single , a superior room is excellant other wise move up to deluxe room. The hotel in general is cozy, practical, and efficient. it can give you access to all parts of Bangkok as the Nana BTS Station is near. The Hotel TUK TUK service to main road was very helpfull. Breakfast was good , They serve eggs , bacon , fruit salad, corn flakes, bread, milk coffe, juice...etc with the choise to sit outside on the patio(nice). Its a nice on the budjet hotel, and would stay again there..

This is a wonderful little hotel. I throughly enjoyed staying here. The rooms are clean and tidy. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great. The whole place was just lovely. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is a little way from the main road, the hotel does have a golf cart that can drop you off and pick you up. It is in a quiet part of town but still very close to the sky train and main attractions.

Quite deep on Soi 8, the TukTuk is on call and responds very well. The staff are very plesant and helpful. The rooms are small the bathroom was the high spot very modern. One big drawback is the lack of an elevator. The food menu, limited, but tasty. More of a guest house than hotel.
