I like the hotel and i have stay there many times... I didn't like that they have joiners fee for everyone stay in room after check in. I had to pay 600 baht when my friend stayed 1 night in my room.. I stayed alone in a double room so i had already pay for 2 persons...

We stayed for 2 nights in the Prince Palace Hotel. The room has seen better times, despite we booked a non-smoker room, because we have two little children, there was a terrible smell in the room, seemd as people have smoked in the room. The staff was very unfriendly, especially at the breakfast. 30 min. before 10 o clock, the staff went around in the breakfast room with a bell and a sign that breakfast finishes at 10. And at that point of time they did not fill up empty foods and stopped making omlets etc. The pool and location was good.

We rented the three bedroom suite for 3 persons for eight days. They provided two coffee mugs, we asked for a third, they said no,they did not have! The hotel provides 2 small bottles of water free per day, valued 10 baht but if you drink the others they charge 70 baht! We purchased our water around the corner at 711 but the hotel upon checkout tried to charge us for 4 bottles! Manager thought twice and then apologized. The hotel is nice, but they nickel and dime you for everything including wi fi...in my opinion you are better off going to a smaller boutique style hotel where the extras are included! The area is in the wholesale garment district and terribly congested. Compared to other choices out there!

Accommodation and facilities:
Best value for the money, stayed in a three bedroom suite, excellent for large family. There are a number of good restaurants in the hotel, two good pools, and some other stuff. The drawback is the location, you do need to take a cab to go anywhere;around 10 min to Khaosan road or MBK. Some other people have commented on the English skills of the staff, we had no problems, and staff were helpful.

Vi bodde i trerumssuiten som var väldigt skitig,kvarglömda saker under sängarna och damtussar stora som sparvar bakom gardinerna.Frugan fick en obehaglig överaskning vid ett toalettbesök när en kackerlacka kröp fram bakom vasken,då bodde vi ändå på 19:e våningen. Hotelet var starkt fokuserat på conferancer/möten osv det var där de la krutet för de såg ut att få en kunglig behandling,hotelet ligger i en del en bit ifrån händelsernas centrum för en turist plus att där var mycket trafik för att vara Bangkok så reserna till och från shoppingen tog en väldig tid.Skulle inte rekommendera detta hotelet till mina vänner och inte heller till er som läser detta.Är thailands besökare sen 89 och har bott i Bangkok många gånger i fortsättningen kommer vi att bo vid silom som vi brukar göra.

Good central place as a base for visiting Bangkok. Easy to access from airport and all taxi drivers knows the place.Kind staff, nice hallways and restaurants. Lovely pool areas.Hotel rooms were worn. Wallpaper loose or missing in several places. Low standard cleaning with dirt in corners and toothpaste under zincks, mirror frames and cupboards. Broken glass and used condome packets from previous guests. Smoke and boose smelly rooms, all though we reserved non-smoking room. Cockroaches in the rooms.Old fashioned internet access service. Breakfast had a wide range of food, but most without taste.

When I asked for more for 5 people, I was told we would get more, but didn t. My wife and I we travelled a lot all around the world and I have to say that we did not have a great impression of this hotel.It is a huge building in the City centre of Bangkok but extrimely dispersive. Rooms are not very clean and toilettes too. Price attractive for standard room. It is ok if you need to spend only one night in Bangkok, anyway we preferred the ROYAL PRINCESS HOTEL LARN LUANG,almost the same price but better service and very nice atmosphere.

It is a very big and nice hotel. A bit confusing before you get the hang of it. The service is very good,even if some of the staffs english weren´t that great. The one bedroom suite we had was okey,even if I found that there were no window in the livingroom a bit challanging. The breakfast was okey,have had better at hotels with lower standards. The situation is ok. Not in the citycenter but close enough to go there by tuk tuk for around 100-200 bath. The picadilly pub was closed!!! Witch it said noting about on their webpage or in the information at the hotell!!! That we found to be dissapionting!!! The poolareas are nice. The bigger one darawadee is quiet since there are no bars or anything,you can´t even buy water,but it is much more relaxing then the otherone. The roomservice is great,and as we found it,cheep.

Very good hotel, exclusive and nice. A lot of space. Two big pool-areas.Situated at the 11th floor of a big shopping mall. Very nice breakfast. Quite comfortable rooms, great view. Far away from the skytrain and underground. You have to pay 300 TB if you want to use the fitness center.

Some of the personal in the reception does not speak English very well. We did not get a confirmation that we booked a larger room, although we emailed the hotel twice. The staff was not co-operative when we are in a hurry in the morning to get to the airport, instead they slowed down the process.

Exclusive hotel, big and spacious. Quite comfortable rooms. Grand view. Two nice pool areas. Located on the 11th floor of a shopping mall. Valuable breakfast. Excellent Hotel located in the old Bangkok, immersed in markets and channels. Discrete the rooms of the tower C. in my previous residence was in the A tower and the rooms are certainly better. I reserved a double bedrooms suite for me my wife and my two kids. The room was incredible ! Really comfortable ! best value I found in Bangkok. Bobae tower for the shopping, 2 swimming pool for resting. A excellent breakfast in the morning. A great staff to guide you. Whoa !! Excellent !! I use to come in Bangkok often for my business and I am sure I will come back to this hotel again. If you come with your family, just close your eyes and jump in !!!

It was out thrid stay at the Prince Palace Hotel, i like the hotel and the brekfast is great, the swimming pool is very nice. The only draw back is that the cab drivers do not seem to keen to go to the hotel if you are to far away. We found this on a number of times and it was a real hassle.

We have been here for the second time. The rooms are clean and the staff was mostly helpfull if we asked. They were always friendly, but sometimes they didn't know about their own hotel. It was helpfull to be able to speak Thai.

I had booked a 1 bedroomed suite and hoped to get a big room in the old section of the hotel as many times before when I stayed there but I was allocated a small room in Tower C.This was bit of a downwer.The hotel itself is stunningly beautiful and the resataurants good.The check in personnel are not as attentive or helpful as they were in previous stays,not willing to put themselves out too much to help.Overall a good value hotel but they neeed to look at the rooms and to let their staff know that the customer is God.

Very nice hotel! A little bit far from the main areas thou, and not any places around to eat at, and the hotels food was very expensive, so thats the only comlaint we had. Would gladly stay there again!

Hotel was nice, and in a good area for the experience of real bangkok and the people. The night clerk who eas working when we got there at 4am was very good and let us in the room early at 6:45am which was awesome, but the two day receptionists were rubbish and not helpful at all. We needed house keeping to put some stuff in our room but instead of getting hold of them they put a phone in my hand and told me to sort it out. And you have to pay extra to use the gym which was a dissapointment. Apart from the rubbish receptionist it was a decent hotel, but i would not go back as that was enough to put me off

we arrived at the hotel on 27/12/07 with two friends on their first visit to thailand we spent a wonderful time in pattya and krabi and would end our holiday with 2 days of shopping in bangkok, on our arrival we decided to have lunch at the 11th floor pool restaurant which turned out to be a mistake. by now being used to the warm and very friendly hospitality of the people of pattaya and krabi we were taken aback by the lack of friendliness which the Thai people are known for at the pool restaurant we ordered 5 meals and drinks the drinks arrived and about 20 minutes the meals minus 1 spaghetti bolognese. we asked our waiter about te meal and he assured us it will follow shortly we all waited in order to eat together after 4 requests I asked to speak to a manager the reply was that there was no manager till the evening eventually the meal arrived 50 minutes later by which time everybody had eaten not to let their food get cold it appeared as if the staff avoided us deliberately instead of being honest about messing up our order which we would have accepted better than being avoided.needless to say we avoided using the pool restaurant again. That evening we dined at the sushi restaurant which turned out to be an excellent meal with the traditional hospitality of the Thai people, our compliments to the staff at that restaurant the evening of our departure we decided on the Prince cafe we once again ordered drinks as well as a bottle of french wine from the drinks menu [we did not enjoy the house wine from Chille which was presented on our table ] we waited a long time for our drinks and asked repeatedly what happened to our drinks order [in our tradition and possably all over the world drinks are enjoyed whilst waiting for your meal ] eventually our food and drinks arrived simultaneous minus the bottle of wine when I asked about the wine i was told it was not available. in my opinion if any item on a menu is not available remove it from the menu or alternatively train your waiters to know what is not available instead of waiting till the last minute to tell you the item is not available they eventually offered me an alternative wine halfway through our meal, at that point I was very agitated and told the waiter to get lost. This was our 3rd visit to your hotel and also the most dissappointing one, we have referred all our friends and family to your hotel in the past whom have booked with you I also felt embarrased in the prescence of our friends travelling with us after telling them what a excellent hotel the Prince Palace is only to be let down by your restaurant staff's lack of professionalism as for the rooms and reception excellent as in the past

hello to whom it may help first of all booking on siameservices was siginficantly cheapper than doing it alone. secondly and most important the hotel is great the staff, rhe rooms, the food, the pool, me and my wife where on a honey moon and enjoied it very much. the location is good 7 min from kaosan st. and 7 min from Mbk. the problem with the hotel is that there r no places near by to do laundry, or use the internet, the hotel is much exepensive- that is the only bad thing about it was just perfect

While the hotel is rated as 4 stars, it really is more of a 3 star hotel by western standards. It is a large, sprawling complex in an area known for its wholesale garment shops. If you like that sort of thing, then you are staying at the right place. The staff are friendly, although quite inefficient and somewhat misinformed. We booked a 1 bedroom suite through SiameServices.com but they tried to give us a Superior room. They were quick to fix the issue but did not have any working key cards. So they sent us to our room (which is in another building) and told us Housekeeping will open the door. So we waited outside the room for 20 mins, but no one showed up. After unsuccessfully calling Housekeeping, we had to go all the way back to Reception to report that nobody showed up. It was 11 pm at night and after spending 18+ hours on a plane, we we didn't appreciate the extra hassle. Also, there was a strange odor in the lobby of the hotel that smelled like a mix of the outside pollution and dirty water. Maybe it had something to do with their air conditioning. All in all, for 2000 baht per night, you get what you pay for. A decent room, but don't expect Hilton or Marriot standards.

The best hotel in the worst part of town! The hotel staff were polite and helpful, the Prince Palace Hotel Mahanak decor beautifully designed, and the room comfortable and clean. The breakfast and restaurant offerings were delicious, well presented and well priced. Would recommend the hotels taxi service. The only down side to the Prince Palace Hotel Mahanak was that it was situated in a location far from places of interest in Bangkok, and in a not so great part of town. In short, 9.5 out of 10.

place was nice,but it's really big.i literally got lost coz it's comprised with 4 big towers,including the bo bae tower which is a bargain shop from ground floor to 11th floor.hotel is quite far from the city but i should say that i had a nice stay in the hotel.i would suggest the management to replace the lady in the reception(who looks like a vietnamese), because not only is she rude and cannot speak good english,she's not accomodating to the guest.that's a mean gesture to not entertain your guest well specially you re working at the front desk of a four star hotel.except this flaws,i should say that this hotel is highly recommended.

We stayed at the Prince Palace Hotel Mahanak for 2 nights when we first arrived in Bangkok, it was an amazing hotel for the money 2000 baht a night, the hotel was huge and the pool was in an excellent location. The breakfast was good and the hotel was in a good location for everything we needed. We booked again for when we went back to Bangkok for 1 night while we done our shopping etc. Would go back.

der hotelkomplex ist mittlerweile etwas in die jahre gekommen und angestaubt. das wird aber durch die gute lage wieder wett gemacht. es liegt in der mitte von bangkok, und man kann von dort alles gut erreichen. das personal ist sehr nett. das frühstück war wirklich reichhaltig. im hotel ist ein riesiger einkaufsshop für textilen und accesoires integriert.

A nice Hotel. It is a little Old but with a very good service. You stay middle of the Bo Boe Market. It is the biggest Market of Closes in Bangkok. 50 m from a Klong Taxi Station. Near of China Town. 20 Min (by feet) to the Big Palace. We stay there the 4. time.

The hotel was really nice and clean. The staff was nice but did not speak that good English. We had some troubles getting calls through to our room since the staff could not understand the caller.. If you are booking a business hotel I would maybe think twice but for leisure the hotel was perfect
