Excellent room, location and service. Only improvement would be hooks on the bathroom door to hang towels. For some reason many hotels seem to overlook this. If the people who designed the rooms slept in them they would notice these things!!

Navalai has a really good wiew and location by the river. We are over all satisfied with the hotel. Actually they have the BEST thaifood ever in the restaurant. We ate there three nights in a row! The poolarea is nice and clean, nice staff at poolbar. Unfortunately we didnt see the Front desk staff smile even once. That is our only complaint!

Очень симпатичный, спокойный отель на берегу реки. Завтрак в ресторане на свежем воздухе у реки оставил приятное впечатление. Номер был очень удобный,все необходимое в нем есть. Обслуживание тоже на уровне. В целом нам отель понравился, жаль что не успели покупаться в бассейне на крыше, надеюсь в следующий раз исправим...

Hotel trs agreable, avec des chambres confortables (nous avions pris des chambres Deluxe ). Sans doute un peu bruyantes ( nous avions opte pour des chambres cote rue pour cause de budget). Mais cela ne nous a pas empeche de bien dormir. Quoi qu il en soit, hotel tres bien situe visiter bangkok. Tout se fait en bateau. De plus la terrasse et la piscine donnant sur la Chao Phraya est tres agreable. Attention cependant : compter bien le nombre de peignoire dans la chambre : ils nous en manquait un et ils ont voulu nous le faire payer.

When we arrived we could not get one of the rooms we booked. We had to wait four hours even though we booked the room month ago. Asked for compensation and was offered a drink in the bar, no thank you, I can buy my own drinks!Ended up with with free breakfast for our child. for three days we had to argue about breakfast coupons the staff had thrown away the first day.It is okay the staff do not handle English very well, but the staff serving in the restaurant was a disaster. Completely without language. The price level on rooms and food and service is to high compared to what you get.I recommend to cross the road and book the guest houses. you get simular rooms (without river view)quality,service and food in top (you can communicate with staff) and in balance with price( a third of Navalai room prices and half food prices).

The hotel is located in a nice area, you can take the boat directly from the hotel's side and go to historic places in few minutes. Furthermore, it is located near Khaosan road where many bars and shops are located. We took the river view room which was very pleasant and very comfortable. Swimming pool on the roof is very nice with a good view on Bangkok. I hope to come back another time. Another good point : we had to leave our romm at 12h00 am but we had the possibility to use the swimming pool until 20h00 am.

Have stayed at Navalai River Resort before and wasn't disappointed with our stay again this time. The location is wonderful on the river, short walk to all the craziness of Khao San Rd, with various bars and wonderful choices of food. The rooms spotless and kept spotless during our stay by housekeeping. All in all a great hotel at a reasonable price. Breakfast gave just enough variety, but we are not fussy. Just don't like the 1000 Baht security deposit system, but I can live with that.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Navalai River Resort. We found its location fairly central - very close to the backpacker's area, but a big trip to the major shopping centres and Siam Central Skytrain station (we caught a cab with a meter for that trip). The room was very clean - except the shower curtain had mould on it and although we booked a double bed our bed turned out to be two single beds pushed together - which was not uncomfortable. The breakfast was buffet style with a large range and our room also had a TV with cable and a DVD player. The roof top pool was great and a lovely way to cool off after a long and hot day at the weekend markets. Overall very pleased and would stay again and recommend to friends.

Beautiful Hotel, nice rooms, stayed in one of the Riverview rooms so had a nice view as well, excellent location , rivertaxi stop right in front and Khaosan Rd. within 10 minute walking distance with plenty of bar/restaurants in between. Good breakfast incl.Nice place overall and away from the heavy traffic and exhaust fumes of Central BKK.

The second time in December the room especially the bath was worn. the sink of the bathtub didn't work, the water stood after showering. the shower curtain and edges of bathtub were full of mold. not nice. i wouldn't go there again, despite of the location.

We stayed there 3 days. Everything was ok, staff very friendly (mainly ladies). Hotel - clean, very well located. Room - (River breeze) as on pictures - the only issue is pier, where at 6am starts coming boats which makes lot of noise so you cannot sleep well, but on the other hand, the river is so famous so you can enjoy view on water trafic . Breakfast - better standard, you can find all you need (fruits, eggs, sausages,...) Price - Room equipment equals to prices, however you can find cheaper hotels (question of location). Restaurant is not bad, but you can find much better in same price or cheaper on same level. Generally, we were satisfied, because of clean room, location and service level.

This place was GREAT! The location is awesome. It is right on a boat stop, which is extremely convenient for sight seeing. They had the best breakfast buffet out of any resort we stayed at in Thailand. The roof top pool also offered a fantastic view of Bangkok. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great staff.

El hotel esta muy bien situado,con un muelle en la puerta para moverte por el rio, muy cerquita de khao san road, y se puede ir andando tranquilamente algran palacio. En los alrededores tiene restaurantes, un bar de copas con musica en directo, internet. Estuvimos en una habitacion con vistas al rio, muy tranquila, bonita y limpia, con una vista muy agradable y relajante.Lo unico malo es que de noche el aparato del aire acondicionado de afuera hacia algo de ruido por lo demas muy bien. Very well located, with a wharf in the door for moving by river, near khao san road, and can be walking calmly to gran palace. In the environs it has restaurants, a bar of glasses with music in direct, Internet. We were in a room with view to the river, very calm, pretty and clean, with a very pleasant and relax terrace. The only thing bad it is that at night the apparatus of the conditioned air of outside towards something of noise by the other muy well.

Little scary as we pulled up in a cab way past midnight because of the construction around it. Walked down what seemed to be an alley in the dark and found a well decorated front desk. They gave us the honeymoon suite which turned out to have a great view of the river and a giant picture window that looks into the shower from the bedroom. Never seen that before. Breakfast in the morning was the best we had in Thailand. The ferry stop 13 is literally located at the back of the restaurant, so it is simple to get to the sights after breakfast. So after a scary first impression from the street at night, it turned out to be our favorite hotel of the trip. I will be staying here again when I return.

5-10 minuts walk to khao san road. 20-30 minuts with Taxi to MBK centre. The rooms are not very sound proof, which is anoying because of nearby construction work and thunderstroms. The rooms get very fast hot which requires setting the AirCon to maximum during the night. Because the hotel staff were excellent I rate this hotel 4 of 5, instead of 3 of 5.

The hotel is new, spotlessly clean & the rooms are lovely. We had a river breeze room overlooking the river and the restaurant below. However, we only stayed for 2 out the 5 nights we booked as we found the hotel too noisy for us. The walls & very thin so noise can be heard from adjoining rooms as well as coming & going of guests & hotel staff arriving around 6am). Also, being by the pier, we were disturbed by the ferry boats. Nice hotel but not for us.

Très belle prestation. après 11h de vol cela nous a fait plaisir d arriver dans une chambre spacieuse, super lit décoré à la Thaï, très reposant. Face à la rivière c est vraiment l idéal, cela fait oublier la pollution de la ville. Le personnel est sympathique mais un peu distant. Sinon c est un très bon point de départ pour visiter Bangkok.

Hotel lep in tudi cena je temu primerna. Lokacija ob reki Chao Praya, kjer se lahko takoj odpelješ na izlet po reki. Nudi lep razgled - sploh pa iz bazena na krovu stavbe. Moti naju pa, da ob prihodu ni nihče od zaposlenih odnesel našo prtljago v sobo. Problem je bila tudi elektronska kartica za odpiranje vrat. Tudi to težavo sva sama reševala in ne zaposleni na recepciji - (povsod drugje, je težave reševalo osebje). Zajtrk je obilen in raznolik, lokacija pa je tudi blizu Kaosan Road, tako da so nakupi zelo blizu.Dobro bi bilo, da pred namestitvijo pregledate sobo, saj je imela najina kar nekaj pomankljivosti. Naslednjič bova izbrala drugo lokacijo. Naprimer hotel Trang - pol cenejši in odličen. Hotel beautiful and also price is this appropriate. Location next to river Chao Praya, where can at once take away on trip round river. (Station N. 13) He offers beautiful wiev - at all from pools of aboard buildings. He is disturbing us, that none from employees took out of luggage to room next to arrival. Also elektronic card for opening of door was problem. Also this problem are alone rescued and no employed on reception (ewerywhere elsewhere personel were rescuid problems) Breakfast is plentiful and diverse, location is also close Kaosan Rd.- so that purchases are very nearby. Good be that you check room before placing, because was having our quite a few deficiency. Next time chose other location - for example Hotel Trang - half cheaper and excellent.

Boede 2 dage på Navalai i februar 09. Rigtig dejligt hotel, der ligger lige ud til floden og flodbusserne holder lige uden for. Pæne værelser, trådløs internet (gratis) og dejlig stor altan. The Navalai is in a good location with easy access to the river taxis which can get you to most of the main tourist attractions. The Reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful and our room was very well equipped and comfortable with the added bonus of a kettle so that we could have that all important cup of tea in bed in the morning. Our balcony did overlook the side near the main road which was quite noisy and always busy, but you are in Bangkok after all so this is not unusual. The air conditioning was not always adjustable it seemed to stay on 26 and when following the instructions to reduce it down to about 20 nothing changed, sometimes, especially after being out and about in the heat of Bangkok a cooler temperature would have been nice, but it did not spoil our stay at the hotel and as we were only there for 3 nights did not even mention it. The breakfast buffet was very nice with a good assortment of food and sitting in the restaurant outside overlooking the river was very nice. We did not eat in the hotel of an evening but the food we saw coming through looked very delicious and they did a good range of cocktails and you could get a decent red or white wine by the glass for around £3. The roof top pool is a very welcome addition after being out in the heat of Bangkok and it was nice to cool off afterwards. Unfortunately as there were no sun shades/umbrellas available at the time of our visit, it did limit the time we could spend round the pool as it was far too hot up on the roof to sit in full sunshine for any length of time without any shade. I think this should be addressed and also the addition of a poolside bar would be nice, as you are not allowed to bring food and drink up from your room. We found the location very convenient for sightseeing the main sights and would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay there again if we return to Bangkok. We really enjoyed using the river taxi service along with other toursits and locals alike. There is a 7/11 Supermarket next door which is handy for nibbles and drinks for your room. I had a superb massage from the Massage parlour attached to the hotel, I had 2 hours aromatherapy full body oil massage and a face massage and positively floated out of there, it cost around £8 which is v. good value.

Very nice and comfortable the swimming pool at the top floor and the terrace at the ground floor, directely upon the river. Kind and efficient service. We were two couples and both our rooms on 4th and 5th floor were very clean and comfortable, even luxury. But we recommend earplugs -as in most hotels in Bangkok. Thai people seems to love karaoke! The location was perfect by the side of pier 13 where you can take the Public shuttle boot to many places and to the Sky Train to go to, for example, Siam Centre. It is also close to Koh San Road. Good breakfast and also many good dishes in the restaurang. But it was the worse service from the young uninterested waitresses. They did not hear us out when we wanted to order, so we had to call them back several times before we had finished our order. Otherwise everything was good and we will sure be back.

This is a wonderful hotel right on the river and in front of a pickup point for the ferry. We stayed in a room on the road and the room was stunning. Clean,modern and had everything we needed. Free in room WiFi and satelite TV. We kept our curtains closed as the view of street wasn't to great. They do have more expensive rooms looking out to the river which book out fast during holidays. It is a few streets away from Kaho San Road down some really pleasant and interesting roads with good restaurants, chemists where you can get anything you need, cheap massage, haircuts and cheap laundrys done by the weight. Liked these roads better than Kaho San as less crowded. Only noticed one thing. We arrived at hotel before the holidays and the buffet breakfast was really nice and had good variety. However as more people arrived for holidays the buffet breakfast became very ordinary. PS if you book Tours or have massage do not use the ones next to hotel as they are much more expensive. We booked a tour and paid 1/3 more than the people on the same tour. They booked their tour on Kaho San Road.

We booked into the Navalai River Resort after taking several overnight flights so were very happy to be greeted by welcoming reception staff and able to get into a room straight away! The room was actually on the riverfront side of the building with a balcony overlooking the restaurant below and the ferry pier so it was great to be able to sit and watch the world go by on the river. The room was spacious and well designed although my partner wasn't too keen on the window into the bathroom. We ate lunch in the restaurant which was quite nice and reasonably priced and the breakfast was fine too. The ferry being right outside was very convenient for getting around to other areas of Bangkok while Kao Sahn road's food/shopping/bars were just a short stroll away. All in all, we would stay here again.

Navalai River Hotel has certainly a superb location, directly at the Chao Praya, with a wonderful river terrace where you can sit and enjoy your breakfast or dinner (both are very fine). From the swimming pool on the 6th floor you have a magnificent view over Bangkok. Rooms are brand new, with an interesting modern-style interior, incl. the bathrooms, and are equipped with modern air-condition and fan. The rooms on the street side are a bit noisy, naturally, since they look on Pra-Athit street, which is very busy at night. The riverside rooms are magnificent, with a large balcony and a view of the Chao Praya, but they cost a few hundred Baht more, of course. Very convenient is the Pra-Arthit ferry pier which is just behind the hotel, from where the express boats take you up or down the famous riverside sightseeing places.

J’ai passé avec mon épouse 2 jours au début de nos vacances au Navalai. Il est très bien situé, proche de Kaosant Road mais suffisamment loin pour ne pas être dérangé par le bruit et a un accès direct à la rivière. L’hôtel est très bien, il y a un très bon petit déjeuner sur la terrasse et une agréable piscine sur le toit. Malheureusement le jour de notre départ mon épouse a oublié sur la table de nuit 3 bagues en or et malgré notre coup de téléphone une heure plus tard, (nous étions dans le bus pour Kanchanabury) et notre plainte auprès de la police Touristique le personnel ne nous à pas restitués les bagues et a été d’un très grand mépris. C’est du vol !!!

The Navalai overlooks the river, and is next to Phra Athit (No.13) Pier. Our room cost 2,000 bahts a night and included an excellent all you can eat western or Thai buffet breakfast. Our room had a decent sized balcony and looked right out onto the river. There are other less expensive rooms, which obviously have slightly less scenic views. You could take breakfast either indoors, or outdoors on the large terrace which overlooked the river. The hotel has a very popular restaurant. The only downside for us was that the roof-top deck and pool was out of order while we were there. Overall, and excellent hotel, just the right place to unwind for a couple of nights after a long journey.

We arrived and we were greeted very very well, however our room with a king bed that we requested and got confirmation on was not available for some reason maybe because we had arrived late at nite and walk in guest could have been offered it. we were told that we could have it tmrw, the next day i was told that it might be ready today if someone checked out ,after asking for the manager the room we wanted was given in 30 seconds and it was just perfect, as was everything else minus the 1st hiccup, and internet not working in room only lobby,room was clean 9/10 service from every member security, maids travel agency was amazing 10/10 breakfast which was included was ok 7/10 food in restauarnt in the evening 5/10 but the staff there did there best to get what we wanted the only major complaint i had was that we could not stay longer because i had only booked 5 nights and the hotel was full so we moved regretting we didnt book longer nothing else compares to the beauty of Navali its location and its staff... Keep up the great work team..

Nice clean hotel. Not close enough to MBK or night markets for us, a bit out of the way. The riots were directly in front of the hotel when we stayed, it was quiet scary! Staff where not friendly enough and very slow. I don't reccommend using the Tourist information next door, nice people there, but, we got ripped off, set on a tour that should have lasted 4hrs but took over 12hrs!

My family and I stayed for 3 nights early October 2008 and it was an absolute delight.Far better than most hotels in Khao San area or in many other parts of thailand we stayed for the price. Rooms very clean and modern and a great pool. It is also located adjacent to ferry pier No13 that goes straight to Cental Pier for connection to the Skytrain to Siam/City centre - dont waste time with taxi to city - cheaper and less hassle. 15 baht ferry then 30 baht on skytrain from Saphon Taksin (Central Pier station)to Siam. Staff very friendly - especially the doorman. Breakfast was adeqate - only issue the lady boy trainee chef who was more interested in chating than concentrating on cooking resulting in bad omlettes but in the big schene of things this is a very minor critism of a very professional, well run establishment. We were only disappointed that we could not extend a further 2 nights as it was booked out. Other hotel in Khao San for same price was very poor and did not include breakfast for similar price. We stayed for 4 nights the end of September begining of October. The place was great value for your money! We stayed in a side room facing a building but could still look out to the river. The room had a safe, coffee/tea hot water machine, comfortable bed-if you like firm, large balconey with 2 chairs and table. Free internet access. The ferry stop is right in back of the hotel. Someone mans the stop, so you will be able to ask them questions if you need to--there is also a map showing the stops. Was very easy to use. Free breakfast-good. Had dinner once--was great--expensive cocktails though. Cheap beer. Felt very safe walking around day or night. Khaosan Road nearby. Tons of restaurants in the area. Pool was very nice and as others have said, it was disapointing that it closed so early. The staff were nice although could not speak English so well. Taxi to hotel from airport was about 285BHT going and about 350Bht returning. Absoultly would recommend this hotel to others. Mostly Westerners staying here (of all ages).

Try to get a room on the Riverside, because to the City-side is a very busy road and also a bar which makes loud music until 3.00 am. The location of this resort is just perfet for Bangkok. Life so close to the river with the possibility to leave by boat to see all this wonderful places in Bangkok makes a stay in this busy and loud town a pleasant place. On the other sind, the staff will have to improve quite a lot. They do not speak sufficient english and seem to be rather unmotivatated, especially during the breakfast service. The breakfast served is not too much to espect. No joghurt or hot chocolate (we travelled with a 7 year old) and the offer of food is focused too much on asiatic needs. Using the roof deck pool with this tremendous few across the river was a exceptional experience. We would definitely come back again.

I took a risk on this one as there were no reviews and it was worth it. We got a great deal of 1700 baht for a city view room. The hotel is right next to the Pra Athit Pier. The rooms are nice and clean, plain, but with some Thai touches. Only draw back is that the pool is only open until 6pm, and since its on the roof with great city and river views that's a real pitty. I m sure many people would like to sit up there in the evening. The city view rooms are facing the street, but opposite are two residences, so it isn't too noisy - except for tuk tuk's passing by. Great location for sight seeing and visiting Khaosan area. Will probably stay here again on next visit.
