I found this hotel thru the travelfish.org site. The hotel was excellent for our purposes: a reliable and convenient stopover close to Bangkok Intl( genuine 15 mins transit). Hotel pristinely clean, no-frills restaurent, simple but good breakfast and excellent shuttle facilities to and from the airport. Highly recommended: does exactly what it says on the tin! Excellent VFM.

This is an airport hotel, not much else to add. We stayed one night. It was clean (except for a large bug), had AC, internet and an ok breakfast. Planes were loud overhead, but you would expect that. It was situated in a strange back alley side street, we did not leave the hotel and would not have felt safe doing so at night. Free shuttle service was a plus.

We have stayed here three times just as a quick stop over between the late arrival flights then on to Koh Samui. A very efficient service. Pick up was straight forward, we waiting about 6mins after they identified us and the driver arrived. Basic but clean room and breakfast and friendly staff. You hear the odd plane but thats what you get when you stay by the airport. Very suitable for a stop over stay and no hassle pick up etc.

I'll stay here everytime I have an overnight connection in Bangkok. Places like this make me wonder why anyone would pay the ridiculous prices of the Novotel at Suvarnabhumi. The pickup service was prompt and friendly, the hotel was clean and tidy. Minibar items were very reasonably priced and the fridge was cold. TV and AirCon worked great, with lots of satellite channels. They even upgraded me to the next size room for free! Return shuttle to the airport in the morning was just a prompt and friendly. I'll never pay for the Novotel again knowing I can stay in comfort and at great value at the Floral Shire. I wouldnt really recommend this hotel for holiday though. It's located on the outskirts of the city. The rooms are very well appointed, for the $25 you pay. linens were clean, bed was comfortable, furniture in great condition, etc. but its not the four seasons. I think this should be obvious, but as someone who reads online reviews a lot, I think people have unreal expectations at some of these purpose built places. Floral Shire is a great facility, with good friendly staff, and is a perfect alternative to paying the exhorbitant prices of the Novotel at Suvarnabhumi or sleeping in the terminal. A no-brainer for me in the future.

I spent 1 night between a late arrival and early departure to/from Bangkok airport in Floral Shire hotel. Even though I arrived very late at night & it took me ages to exit the airport (because my luggage did not arrive and I had to fill in a-lost-luggage-form) my free pickup from the hotel waited for me and welcomed me with a smile. The drive to the hotel = very quick, 5 min = max time to sleep inbetween the flights. Simple, but nice & clean room with everything you need if you have lost your luggage + free coffee and water. Nice and kind personnel.

This is a good place if you need to stay a night before you go home. Its about 10-15min from the airport. The pickup service is great. The negative is: It's in the middle of nowhere. Airplanes leaves (feels like every 10 minutes) so the hotel gets a little (depends on how big the aircrafts are) noisy. My Suggestion is to use earplug's while sleeping. The breakfast is nothing to celebrate about, and it's the same every morning. The rooms are big and nice i think. Our air condition was very noisy. Would i stay there again? Maybe, the price was good, but not more than one night next time.

10 minutes from the airport with a free roundtrip transfer and free continental breakfast, for the equivalent of USD $35.00. Being close to the airport is great, but the old adage of you get what you pay for rings loud and clear at Floral Shire. To be fair, I am disclosing my room: Daisy 4. The below complaints, and my review, is based entirely on said room. Perhaps other rooms at The Floral Shire offer more. In summary: 1. I have a bathroom sink that won't drain. 2. I have a sink faucet that turns. Which is shouldn t. 3. I ve killed 4 mosquitos thus far. Thankfully, Thai mosquitos seem quite slow. 4. They have no right to use the word resort. I do question the validity of the 3 and 4 star reviews posted previously, or perhaps where said posters usually stay when traveling. Airport hotels in general have a bad reputation; this place makes even the worst airport hotel look like a Four Seasons. I would have rather slept inside the airport, or dealt with Thai meter-taxis to get from/to BKK. In addition to the room itself, I attempted to get some fresh air and walk to the 7-Eleven that I saw on the way from the main road to the hotel. En route to the 7-Eleven, I saw 2 men urinating outdoors, and one defecating. I am not judging; after spending a week in Cambodia, I know that we take so much for granted in the West. But the experience did not improve my already bad impression of The Floral Shire.

Floral Shire was generally okay. However, I was not satisfied with its pick-up service. We had to wait for hotel vehicle longer than 25 minutes while other hotel pick-up services took only 5 or 10 min. And on our way back to airport, hotel vehicle had problem so we were late for flight check-in. I wouldn't consider to go back to floral shire.

This hotel really is a stop over if you ve just flown in, as we had, or if you are flying out. The shuttle service worked well with two members of staff at the airport greeting area (just follow the signs when you exit arrivals and you cannot miss it). The rooms were fine and modern with a great shower. No proper restaurant to mention although there are so many places to eat nearby and the shuttle bus will take you where you want to go locally and pick you up again, just remember to tip as there is no official charge.

The Floral Shire was exactly what we needed upon arrival very late one night. Our pick up from the airport went smoothly. Our room was simple, clean, and functional. Staff stored some of our luggage for a week, no hassles. And, let us use a room to shower and change clothes prior to our outbound flight. Staff were always courteous and helpful. The Floral Shire is a very simple hotel with virtually no lobby or shared semi-private spaces. We took breakfast on a small terrace outside in front of the hotel. The location is ideal for the airport but is not convenient to the major Bangkok sites. It is a good value and I would certainly return to it on our next visit.

Ideal for a short one night stopover to/from the aiport. Room clean, inexpensive and you can order dinner (Thai food) delivered to your room which was really tasty and not bad at 100Bht. Off the main road quite a way so was a bit worried when were heading down there but very secure hotel and no problem for us, we didn't get in until 8pm and free transfer for airport left at 5am. Could hear planes from room Daisy 8 but they were not loud and I had a great night's sleep

This place is a total rip-off. In the range of 1000bahts a night and over, there should be all the facilities and services required by travelers. This place is a simple block of concrete with well furnished rooms in the middle of nowhere - no shops, restaurants, only a large industrial area. No swimming pool, no garden, nowhere to hang out but inside the room. The hotel has no restaurant to speak of, they'll wip up noodles or curry, but when I got up in the morning and wanted breakfast, I was told the kitchen was closed. I asked for a taxi and was met by blank stares. They asked me 5 times where I wanted to go; Bangkok!!! The worst overpriced place I ever stayed in. Please avoid.

The Floral Shire Resort is a very good place to stay if you have an early flight from the new Airport. I would not call it a resort, but I have no complaints about Floral Shire. It is inexpensive, clean, has all the amenities you need for a night near the airport, and has a free shuttle (on the hour) to the airport. Be sure to have the phone number and address of the hotel if you take a taxi, as it's not on a main street. We did not have any problem with airplane noise as others did; maybe this is because we were on the lowest floor. 2.30am wake up call came in right on time. NOTE: There are not any non-Thai restaurants within walking distance, but there are quite a few places with inexpensive Thai food along the lane where the hotel is. Overall, recommended for a one night stay close to the airport.

Not good for a decent sleep because of people (staff?) up most of the night talking loudly, and in addition we had a basement room which provided a disagreeable odor. Location is not very desirable due to run down neighborhood, and piles of demolition debris across the narrow street. Will never stay there again.

Excellent hotel for the money, very close to the airport (10 mins) and included FREE transfer to and from the airport (provide your flight details when you book and they send their minivan). Rooms were good condition, hot shower, a/c, TV with satellite etc, although walls a bit thin and you could hear people moving in and out with their bags from time to time. I would recommend this hotel for someone who is looking for an overnight place with a flight the next morning. For those interested Bangkok centre is about 40 mins by taxi (approx 250bht)

As we wanted to live near the airport (Suvarnabhumi) this hotel had the perfect location. I could see how people who wanted to get to Bangkok might think it's a bit far off, but as we had an early plane to catch the next morning, this was the perfect place to stay over. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and the food at the hotel restaurant was fantastic!!! (Didn't have the breakfast, though, as we departed at such an early hour.) This was our first visit to Thailand and the lady who was at the airport to greet us gave us the first and lasting impression of the Thai people - she was extremely helpful and sweet!

The only negative is that you here airplanes often, but I mean you stay very close to the airport.. But comparing to the price, this hotel is good and they drive you to the airport for free.

Definitely two thumbs up! I was picked up promptly at the airport and the staff were very quick to help me carry my luggage. Check in was easy and they even sent someone to buy a Thai SIM card for me!!

Floral Shire was what we expected based on the reviews we had read. We needed a place close to the airport as we had another flight the next day. They were waiting for us at the airport with a sign when we arrived and it is a short jaunt to the hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Not too noisy (occasional plane and a rooster in the morning).

I stayed at this hotel 3 times. It is perfect if you arrive at Bangkok International Airport in the evening and you have to take a flight early in the morning. They come to pick you up, it takes 8 minutes to reach the hotel, the rooms are very basic but extremely clean, the staff is cordial. Best value for money.

Very basic hotel, clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff. Excellent for stop-over as in my case. Courtesy bus waiting for me when I arrived and took me back to the airport next morning at 5 am. Only about 10 min. from airport. Some aircraft noise but not a problem. Highly recommend for stop-over stay. If I had had more time, I would have selected a down-town hotel. Would stay there again.

As per Internet the hotel is located 5 minutes far from Suvarnabhumi Airport. In reality it is 20 minutes far away. I had given my flight no. to be picked up, but nobody was there. After waiting for nearly 20 Minutes I requested the information desk to phone Floral Shire Risort and was told that they had just left 5 minutes before. Probably forgotten to pick me up. A car arrived 30 Minutes later and dropped me at the hotel. The staff was very nice, the food not and the menu extremely small. The room was nice and because of the helpful staff I received my wake up call at 12.30 a.m. as per my wish, even with two cups of coffee (they had no pot)which I really enjoyed.
